Sonic grinned at Gadget and Marklin as they made their way towards them. Tails and Classic landed beside him. “We did it! Eggman’s army is officially butt-kicked! We won!” He went to fist bump Gadget, but the ground started to rumble, causing him to miss. “Oh, come on! Now what? Can't we ever just win and have that be the end of it!?”

“Gotcha!” Eggman appears in a large robot that popped out now. “The fortress reactor was just a decoy. A true winner always keeps his trump card hidden until the end!” Eggman laughed and started to smash things with his new robot.

Sonic looked shocked as his communicator went wild.

“What’s going on!?” Vector was first to shout out. “There’s not less enemies; there’s more!”

“How could there be so many!?” Amy shouted next.

“Confirmed sightings indicate Shadow, Metal Sonic, Zavok, Chaos, Infinite... Thousands of them!” Rouge called.

“We’re surrounded!” Shadow growled. “We can’t take them!”

Sonic’s ears jetted back as he looked to Eggman in his robot. “What have you done!?”

Eggman almost screamed out a laugh, “I merely incorporated the Phantom Ruby into this Death Egg Robot!” Eggman kept laughing manicly.

“But that means the Phantom Ruby no longer has a vulnerable energy supply! It's an invulnerable ruby?” Tails gasped.

“A good deduction, Tails. This Death Egg Robot has…” Eggman cracked a smirk, “No, I have surpassed Infinite to become the complete and ultimate form-”

“EXCUSE ME YOUNG MAN!?” Shadow could be heard in the distance.

“Anyways! You will be crushed by this Death Egg Robot powered by the Phantom Ruby, and in the end everything will still be just as I planned!” Eggman continued his manic and crazed laughter as he started to go to town destroying things.

“Your plan will end like all your plans do: with you sitting in a pile of busted robot parts wondering how you failed so badly. Let's get them!” Sonic shouted.

Fight happen and they won yay later back at base.

“Well that’s all nice and tied up, but has anyone seen my husband?” Marklin asked quickly.

“Oh yeah.” Sonic scratched the top of his head. “Haven’t seen him….”

Everyone else agreed with Sonic. Gadget looked to Marklin. ‘I could help you find him.’

“Alright! Search party time!” Sonic called out. “Everybody spread out! Jasper has to be somewhere!”

Marklin started on out of the base, on a mission to find his husband. Gadget followed him.

‘Where do you think he could be?’ Gadget signed.

“He was supposed to go to aqua road but he could be anywhere- he could have….” Marklin stopped in his tracks.

Gadget frowned. ‘I’m sure he’s fine. He probably just got lost or something.’

“Yeah, yeah that’s it, he probably got lost, but then where would he go, he’s not one to just go anywhere, maybe he’s stuck in one of Eggman's traps, or maybe he got caught up with some robots, or maybe he-” Marklin choked up. Gadget laid a sympathetic hand on his shoulder. Marklin tried to wiped the tears that has formed away bit they clung to his fur.

“Why did we let him go alone?” Marklin squecked.

‘Maybe we should keep searching for him.’ Gadget suggested. Marklin nodded and the two started to walk some more, eventually reaching the dredded slides.

“Maybe he fell off one of these, and got hurt.” Marklin gulped.

Gadget frowned before going and jumping down into the water to search for Jasper. Soon enough, he came back, completely soaked. ‘I didn’t see him.’

Marklin gulped and started to walk slowly down aqua road. “I just, want to know if he’s ok.”

Something like a voice wafted out from somewhere. “Mark?”

“It’s like I can hear him still, god I’m mad.” Marklin took a deep breath.

“Hey Mark is that you!”

‘Wait, I can hear him too’ Gadget signed, ear twitching.

“You are just saying that, kid,” Marklin closed his eyes, “I just want to see him agAIN-”
