Arriving back in with Infinite, the slow crawl ended.

“Careful careful careful.” Marklin called as Infinite was set on the floor.

Gadget and others were ready with all of the things Marklin had asked for.

“Kathleen I need a plasma IV and the oxygen at 5%!” Marklin snapped, Kathie skidded over and started to work on that IV.

“Hold this above your head.” Kathie snapped at Knuckles as she handed the IV bag to him, he did so. Kathie looked at Infanites arm. “Do- Do mobians have veins?” She asked.

“I don’t.” Shadow piped up. “But normal Mobians do, yes.”

Kathie took a gulp of air and just went for it. Surprisingly it worked. She taped it in and got to work on the oxygen.

“Alright, you all, is there a single hospital on the shit hole of a planet.” Marklin hissed as he reached for a few compressions.

“Of course there are hospitals.” Sonic spoke. “But considering that we just finished a war, they’re all destroyed.”

“I think someone owes me a favor.” Cass smirked, and suddenly floated away. Everyone looked that way for two seconds before going back to what they were doing.

“God, he needs something to close his heart,” Marklin called, still applying pressure with with hands on the bandages.

“We could always just use a chaos emerald.” Amy said, having one in her hand.

“Where did you get that!?” Knuckles demanded.

“I’ve had it the whole time….” Amy blinked.

“Amy… where are the others…?” Tails asked.

“In the other room…. I thought you all knew that….” Amy replied.

“You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.” Shadow growled.

“Those could’ve helped a lot.” Sonic face palmed.

“WeLl CaN tHeY hElP NoW!?” Marklin screamed.

Suddenly the wall was kicked in.

“I can!” Cass yelled, in her arms, being held above her head was a crying Eggman.

“That works too.” Sonic blinked, chaos emeralds completely forgotten about.

“I’m sorry grandma I’ll help!” Eggman yelled as he sobbed, Cass put him down and brushed off his shoulder.

“If you could just fix the little ol fluffballs chest, taking his little rock did hurt him a bit, then it’ll be ok, ok?” Cass said sweetly, Eggman took a deep breath and stood over, he looked at Infinite.

“I’ll need to get back to my lab, and take him with, he’ll need his chest reconstructed, I don’t think he’ll ever be fully fixed but I can try.” Eggman turned and paced away for a few seconds, stroking his mustache, he turned back around. “Eurika! I could roboticize his chest! It would relieve his pain quickly and fix him!” Eggman exclaimed, “Although, I need to make the equipment, that will take time, and I don’t have the resources to take care of him in the meantime, I could program Orbot and Cubot but they don’t have the right finesse- okay Cubot doesn’t.” Eggman started to pace.

“I could stay.”

“Kathie you have your own chest patient to worry-”

“She-” Kathie took a big breath of air. “She’s fine.” Silver smiled at her.

“Alright, we will need to move him to my lab, I’ll call ahead, get him ready for transport,” Eggman stormed out, already with a com open to his children- I mean Orbot and Cubot.

Kathie and Marklin quickly exchanged the dressings. Knuckles, still holding the IV bag, glared at nobody in particular as Gadget held Infinite’s hand. Shadow grabbed the chaos emerald from Amy. “I can transport you there.”

“Alright, the lab is set up, the egg carrier is on the-”

“Chaos control!”

“YOU COULD HAVE TAKEN ME WITH!” Eggman shook a fist at the sky.

“Oh!” Orbot hissed, as the lab was suddenly filled with Mobians.

Sonic waved. “Sup.”

“Oh, um, right this way please, we have a contained unit ready to hold project Infinity-25 until we have adequate technology to repair their corporal stabilizer.” Orbot said quickly, he gestured over to a tube Cubot was polishing.

Gadget frowned a bit at his friend being called project Infinity-25, but nonetheless helped bring Infinite there.

“Er, Sphere-droid, he needs a solid chest compaction, and a intake of plasma and blood.” Kathie said as she now awkwardly stood over Infinite holding the compression on his chest.

“Yes yes, once he’s in status he will be immobilized by the polarity of the phantom ruby counteracting with the plasma in the holding device.” Orbot said, checking over a clipboard.

“Um. Orbot….” Sonic glanced between the bot and dying jackal. “You do realize that there is a giant hole in his chest where the phantom ruby was, right?”

“SHIT!” Orbot snapped his gaze around. Turning the rest of him to follow his head he rushed to Infinite’s side. “Cubot! Go set up the infirmary!”

“What’s that-”

“Never mind.” Orbot rushed off as fast as he could, dragging along Cubot.

“Well, I guess someone didn’t explain that to well to them.” Marklin called, suddenly the door to the lab kicked open.

“IS HE IN THE INFIRMARY YET!” Eggman yelled.

“NO SIR, STILL SETTING UP!” Orbot yelled back.

“WELL WE WILL CONTINUE ONCE HE’S IN!” Eggman yelled.
