Nobody loves you (Usopp)

(I hate being that Writer but I think the song Nobody loves you by similar Kind goes hard and fits the fic. )
On episode 192-195 (end of skypia arc)

"Doesn't tanning get boring?" I asked Nami who looked up at me, I was blocking the sun. "No, it's only time I get time to myself." Nami said matter of factly, before closing her eyes again. I took the seat next to her, sitting criss-cross apple sauce on the tanning chair. "I mean, what do you think about? You spend an hour or two just laying." I pushed the question, but Nami Humored me for once. "Nothing, maybe wonder what Sanji is going to end up bringing or how much longer I'll have peace." Nami explained quite simply, like I should have already knew that answer. "Okay." I didn't know what else to say, I mean I could ask another question but she did say it was her quiet time. Nami didn't say anything else after me so I chose to look over the deck if the Mary. Zoro was was on the upper deck, it was his workout time. Luffy for once was also calm, but then again he was asleep on top of the Mary's head. Chopper no where to be seen, so I assumed he was probably studying.

I didn't see Robin, if I had to guess she maybe was in the kitchen with Sanji. Usopp was sitting next to the mast, I think he was making a new star or maybe making sure he had plenty. I left Nami to go bother Usopp instead, well I think the word bother isn't quite right. Usopp has never gotten annoyed when I chose to watch him, or ask questions. The sniper always smiled wide and started to explain what he was doing. Most would think by now I'd be able to make some of his stars by myself. But, Honestly I don't listen to his words, they confused me. Talked too fast or words to complex, Usopp assuming I was on his level. I Mean it was a valid guess, I was the one who always asked questions. I Sat to his left, criss-cross apple sauce, our knees tapping as I tried to get comfortable. Usopp watched, waiting as I looked over his set up. "So what are you making today Usopp?"

I smiled when Usopp lit up, happily holding up the metal. Explaining he was trying to make something for Sanji. To help him in the kitchen, but not to tell the cook, it was a surprise. "Whats it going to do?" I prompted Usopp, grinning when that got the rambling to start. Hands showing me pieces of metal, and wires and coils. His blue prints, chocolate eyes always glancing to make sure I was watching. That he wasn't boring, that I cared and was impressed. I always felt guilty when he always had to check I'd someone wad paying attention. One too many people not giving him even a glance, shooting him down, telling him he was less than. Planting that deep fear of not being good enough that they'll leave. Thankfully Usopp didn't notice the frown that dipped on my face. I asked gently what he was going to name the object, lazy smile on my lips.

"Why are you staring at me?" I asked Nami not looking up from my note book. Nami made a choking noise, like she hadn't meant to be caught staring or something. "Why are you, you know, in here?" Nami asked and I blinked now actually turning my head to look at her. Nami was leaning against her desk, always messy with maps and blank papers. "Because, it's our room?" I said slowly, wondering what she meant, Nami raised an eyebrow at me. "Normally you'd be out on deck." Nami bit her lip, like stopping herself from saying something else. "Well, yes? I mean normally I am." I agreed with the navigater easily, yet that didn't seem to satisfy her. "So why aren't you?" Nami pressed now taking steps closer to me, stopping at the edge of my desk. Well mine and Robin's, we both didn't really make a mess of it like someone else so we don't mind to share.

"The boys are playing freeze tag, the last time I wasn't playing but in the area. Bam! Luffy knocked me out." I clapped my hands when I said the word bam for dramatic affect. Nami blinked but slowly nodded, tucking her hair behind her ear. "Just checking." Nami chuckled seemingly happy with my answer now. Odd. I tucked my notebook underneath my arm. "But, I'm going to go bug Sanji so you can have the room." I'm assuming she wanted time alone, Nami didn't reply as I left our room. Opening the door to the kitchen I was quick to dodge the fork Sanji threw at me. "Oh, I thought you was Luffy." Sanji blinked as I pulled the fork out of the wall. "I'm taking that as an insult." I chuckled as Sanji laughed apologizing. I looked over the counter to see what he was making for lunch. Sanji handed me a leaf of lettuce, I laughed taking it. "So sandwiches for lunch?" I asked eating the leaf I assumed he was using to fend me off. "Yes, and soup." Sanji agreeded and I watched ad he cut the meats and cheeses so they'd fit better onto sandwiches.

"Why aren't you playing tag today?" Sanji asked as I backed off to give him space to work. "Oh it's freeze tag today, and I'm tired today, so I decided to do some writing instead." I corrected the Cook on the game as I say at the kitchen table. Sanji chuckled when I did correct him, looking over at me when I admitted being tired. "Would you'd like some coffee Y/n-swan?" Sanji smiled pausing his cuts to move towards the kettle. "Ah, no thank you for offering Sanji." I waved the blond off who nodded now starting to assemble the sandwiches. I let the sounds of the kitchen roll over my head as I began writing again.

"Where's Usopp?" Luffy asked me a pout on his lips, I smiled at the captain. "Probably taking a bath." I answered not looking up from my Book that Robin let me borrow. It was about exotic insects, pretty cool if you asked me. "Oh, okay! Thanks Y/n." Luffy chirped already running to find most likely Zoro instead. "You know that Usopp's taking a bath?" Robin asked this time I looked at the girl blushing. "Well, no, but he normally takes bath every other day unlike some of the guys." It wasn't weird, I mean I just learned because he'd be missing when I went to go find him. "But how did you know the exact time." I shrugged at Robin, pulling my book closer to me, defensively. "You and Nami like to take baths in the mornings, it's not weird we live on this ship together." I pointed at Robin who chuckled nodding, her eyes going back down to her book.

More and more often the crew started coming to me asking for Usopp. Well I mean I wasn't his secretary! But, they were correct I did always had an answer now that I really thought about it. Did I seriously hang out with Usopp so much? "Hey Sanji?" I decided maybe I should spend more time with my crew. I knew Usopp would definitely enjoy the free time, he was too nice to probably say anything. Yeah, I definitely was bugging him alot. "Yes Y/n-swan!" Sanji chirped smile wide as he clapped his hands together. "Do you need help in here? You always work so hard for our crew." I asked and Sanji blinked shocked before looking around the kitchen. "I mean, have you peeled potatoes before?" Sanji asked waving me in further into the kitchen, I grinned as I let the door close behind me. "Yes! The best peeler in the west blue if you ask me." I puffed out my chest in bravo, Sanji sat a bucket of potatoes infront of me. "I'm making roasted potatoes with dinner so after peeling them cut then into small bake-able pieces." Sanji instructed serious, I nodded taking the offered knife.

"Tell me about the All Blue again Sanji." I ask after the first 5 potatoes, putting them into lemon water so they didn't brown while I did the others. "Really? Doesn't it bore you?" Sanji asked glancing at me from where he was fileting fish, we had plenty. "No, I love listening to people's dreams or story's." I confirmed and Sanji hummed to be dramatic, debating if he'd tell me or not. "So the all Blue, my dream," Sanji began his voice filling the kitchen as we did our separate tasks. Soon enough Sanji started talking about working underneath Zeff. Stories from his childhood, I couldn't help but smile. Normally the cook wouldn't be so open, preferring to keep conversations in the now. I watched Sanji season the peeled and cut potatoes. "You did a great job, you can help me when ever you'd like." Sanji smiled at me as he spread the season potatoes on the sheet pans. "I'll be here again!"

I Sat close to Nami as she pointed to her Maps. "Thats why it's layered like that, it showes that there is hills or mountains." Nami explained and I grinned looking at Nami who seemed proud of herself. "This is really cool, complicated but cool Nami!" I praised our Navigator who giggled waving me off. "What has made you so interested in my maps?" Nami asked showing me a bigger Island, fingers tracing the edge of the ppaper. "You love it don't you? I like seeing you so happy, proud of your skills." Nami looked at me a faint pink on her cheeks. "Your not trying to butter me up are you?" Nami asked suspicious, I couldn't help but laugh. "No, I'm not Sanji or Luffy." I waved her off leaning back into the wooden chair. "Okay, so this is what a lake would look like," Nami restarted her lesson, slim fingers pointing to each part of the paper.

"Don't you get tired of doing the same work out everyday?" I asked Zoro who used his almost comedicly big weights. "I do different ones every day of the week." Zoro stated setting the weight down for a second. "Why?" Zoro asked and I shrugged sitting up straighter. "I'm curious, wanna tell me about what you do differently each day?" Zoro stared at me forever a few more moments before picking up his weight again. "On Mondays, I like to focus on strength rather than cutting motions like today," Zoro started to explain as he worked out. I had saw Usopp pass by and I made sure to wave before looking back at Zoro. It was odd, he didn't even look at me. "I work out for hours, it's straning a lot on the muscle and mind. That's why you stretch before and afterwards and take a very long nap." Zoro seemed to be done for the day as he started taking apart his weights. "Can you teach me some stretches?" I asked and Zoro shrugged. "Just keep up." I rolled my eyes but smiled anyway, following his instructions.

"Hi Chopper!" I knocked on the open door as the reindeer turned on his spinning chair. "Y/n! Hi!" Chopper grinned clapping his, paws? Hoofs? Together. "Whatcha working on in here Chopper?" I asked coming in the room, thankfully he didn't seem to mind. "I was making some sleeping powder for Robin and Usopp, normally Robin can't sleep well but Usopp just asked not too long ago." Chopper explained waving me closer letting me see into the grinder. "Really? Does it work?" I asked and Chopper began to explain how it did in fact worked. Then other medications, and how they also worked. I didn't mind much, it was cute the way Chopper use his hands as he explained. Trying to further explain his thoughts, like it would be easier for me to grasp. "But, always remember depending on what your taking and why you might have to change the amount your taking because your body can build an tolerance. Or maybe over time you can take a lesser proportion with the same affect." Chopper finally showed me the medicine balls that would help Robin and Usopp sleep better. "Your so amazing Chopper!" I grinned before laughing at his blushing insults.

I was sitting up in the crow nest, it was maybe two hours until dinner. I actually was giving a great time spending time with the others. But I also needed a break so that's why I ended up in the crows nest. I was writing a story about the greatest hunt of them all. A little story I think that Zoro would think was funny, well if he would read it. "Y/n." I jumped before looking at Usopp who was staring at me. Not fully in the crows next but his chest and up resting in the opening. "Usopp." I greeted closing my notebook, not bothering to save the page. We just stared at each other, Usopp didn't say anything or move to speak. I broke the silence seeing thay Usopp apparently wasn't going to. "Whats up?" I asked and Usopp nodded before moving to join me the rest of the way in the crows nest. "Did I do something?" Usopp asked and I blinked, not expecting that kind of question at all. "What? I mean, nothing?" I sputtered my answer not expecting the question in the first place. "You've been avoiding me." Usopp crossed his arms looking away from me, to the left into the open sea. "No I haven't?" I tilted my head and Usopp shook his head no, like I was incorrect. "I haven't see you in two weeks." Usopp, quiet, softer than his former words had been. Less accusing.

"Oh." I mumbled and Usopp nodded, his fingers playing with the laces of his boots. "Did I do something?" Usopp asked and I shook my head no, reaching put to rest my hand on his knee. "No! Just, the others were talking about how I'm always with you and how I always know where you are. I thought, and uhm, I thought that maybe, I should spend more time with the crew. I mean I'd bet you were happy without me." I jumped when Usopp grabbed my shoulders with his hands. His chocolate eyes staring into mine, intense, almost to tears. "I'd never be happy without you!" Usopp yelled and I couldn't help but giggle as my whole face burned. "I don't think I would either." I whispered watched his own face burning red like mine was. "I love you, for like a long time." I blurted and I almost Laughed at the way Usopp perked up. Like I had promised him the most riches in the world. "Really?!? Wait, I Mean I love you too!" Usopp was shaking my shoulders with his words, I laughed.

"Then kiss me!" I yelled at the same loudness Usopp had been this whole conversation it seemed. I watched as Usopp paused eyes wide as my words processed in his head. "Okay!" Usopp yelped and before I could laugh at his answer his lips met mine. They were warm and chapped from always bitting them. I cupped his face tilting his head more so I could kiss him deeper. "W-wow." Usopp whispered his hands cupping mine that still heald his face gently. I giggled at the starstruck look on his face before peppering kisses on Usopp's cheeks.

And if later we were teased relentlessly for our yelling match/ love confession. That was our business alone. (It was funny watching Sanji try and tell Usopp what he should have done instead.)

(HI LMAO, I was going to write more for this but then I accidentally posted it and I feel bad if I don't actually post something to make up for it. I really think this one shot was cute tho.)
