Vineet lifted me in his arms and made his way towards the bed. He placed me on the bed and turned to leave. I held his hands.

" Kuch kehna chahte ho?"  I asked.

He bent towards me and placed a kiss on my head. He looked at me.

" I am sorry." he said.

I was surprised. Was it because he was getting fine? Did he realise how they are leading their lives?

I sat up on the bed and cupped his face. He looked pained, and I engulfed him in a hug. He needed it, I know. I could hear his miffled sobs. I part the hug, and really found his eyes teary. I wiped his tears and kiss his forehead.

" I know, maine tumhe pareshan kiya na." he asks like a kid.

"Nahi Na!! Jab tak hum sath hai kuch galat nahi hoga, Vineet. Tum ho na mere sath, wahi kaafi hai." I said while holding his hands.

He didn't say a word, but hugged me. I ruffled his hair, getting his warmth after a long time was a great thing for me as well. I parted the hug and touched his forehead with mine.

" Zindagi toh tab shuru hoti hai, Vineet, jab hum usey jeena shuru karte hai. Hamari nayi zindagi aaj se shuru hoti hai." I said and pecked his lips lightly.

He glanced at me intensely, and we dived into our love land. The very night proved to be the most memorable night of my life. Yeah, it was not the first time, when we made love, but it was really the first time, when he paid attention to me after the accident. The night when he was guilty for nothing, it was our love which binded us  together again. I woke up from my slumber, and found Vineet sleeping while hugging me. Well, I was relaxed as today I don't have to remind him about myself. He will remember me, I know. He stirred in his sleep. I kisses his cheek.

"Vineet utho." I said.

But he grimaced and snuggled closer to me.

"Mujhe kahin nahi jana." he said sleepily.

I smiled. I remembered how he used to hug me to stop me from going, before our wedding. When he didn't feel like leaving my house, he used to lie in my lap. He's doing the same today. I smeared his bare back softly.

" Arey aaj office jana hai na." I said.

"Tum jao. Main ghar pe rahunga." he said, finally opening his eyes.

I sighed. I made him sit on the bed.

" Dekho, aaj se hum dono office jaayenge. Tum kaam sambhalo ab. Mujhse nahi hota." I said.

He stared at me blankly. I know he has forgotten everything, but I will help him. Vineet will again manage the business, and I will take care of him. He looked at me innocently, and I kissed his cheek.

" Tum thik ho gaye na ab. Ab chalo office. Fir kuch logon ko jawab bhi dena hai." I said remembering the nuisance that one of our clients spoke about Vineet.

He looked at me questioningly, and I smiled. I assured him that everything will fall at it's own place eventually. He hesitated, but agreed. I gave him time to relax and moved in the washroom to take a shower. Today, I am relaxed. I don't have to worry about his actions and words. He can manage himself. After taking the shower, I got dressed for the day and moved into the kitchen asking him to get ready.

I prepared breakfast and coffee for myself and Vineet. Meanwhile I heard Vineet calling me. A smile crept on my lips. After a long time, he is calling me by my name. It sounds so good coming from him. I rushed into the room and he was looking through his clothes. It seemed like he recognized me by my footsteps.

"Ruhana! Meri black shirt nahi mil rahi. Dhundh do na." he said.

I smiled. He didn't forget his favourite colour, and it's my favorite too. I moved closer to him and took out the shirt and gave to him.

"saamne hi thi. Kuch nahi dikhta tumko." I said playfully.

He pulled my wrist such that I dashed on his chest.

" khud dhundh leta toh tum paas kaise aati?" he wiggles his eyebrows.

I gazed down on the floor for a few minutes and then freed myself from his grip.

" Chodo mujhe, aur ready ho jao."  I said and left the room.

I could hear him giggle. I set the table and he followed me. We started having breakfast and my phone rang. I attended it. It was from the office, and my manager told me that there is a meeting in an hour. I had completely forgotten about it. I assured him that we will reach the office in forty minutes. We finished our breakfast and left for the office.

Vineet was a little afraid, but things eventually fell on their place. He was a silent spectator at first and then he started understanding things. Things were going smoothly as per my plan.

Slowly, five months passed by. We were really happy. Yeah, we started a new life. Vineet has now taken hold of the business, and I assist him. Life is smooth. One fine day, we got ready for office. Vineet was talking on phone and I moved to him finishing my chores. But suddenly, I felt a little dizzy. I called him, and then everything went dark.
