~Ruhana~

I am really happy today. I am going to be a mother now. Five months ago, I got my Vineet back, and today, a good news. Vineet won't forget these moments ever. Now, we will have a companion. Our baby will help me in taking care of Vineet and Vineet will team up with him/her and tease me. We'll be a happy family. Our child will take care of both of us and I am happy about it. 

My trance broke when Vineet came and sat by my side. He seemed happy. He kissed my forehead and hugged me for giving him a gift in the form of our child. I looked at him and we promised each other that we will give a better life to our child. 

 Vineet asked me to take care and said that he'll go to attend the meeting. But, I have grown used to him. We can't work until we see each other. Also, I know that we will get worried for each other, so it's better to be together. We can take care of each other and that's the best part. The things started changing. We got our first deal today. Vineet said that it's because of our child. I can't agree more. This kid has brought happiness for both of us. 

Time passed. It's my ninth month. The doctor advised me to stay home and not travel. Vineet is making sure that I follow his orders. He has become the same loving, caring, a little strict husband, as I lost back in the past. He loves me and our unborn child more than I could imagine. We will make a beautiful life together after the arrival of our baby. I am in the room watching television when Vineet came in with our breakfast. He has turned into a really good cook. He fulfills my demands, he loves me and we are happy in our little world. He gave me a glass of milk. He snipped his fingers in front of me. I came out of my trance. 

"Kya soch rahi ho?" he asked. 

"Kuch nahi. Ab kuch sochne ko kuch baaki kahan raha?  Hum khush hai na!" I replied. 

He nodded his head. 

"Haan Ruhana. Maine toh kabhi socha hi nahi tha ki aisa din bhi aayega."  he said. 

I smiled. 

"Par mujhe pata tha. Maine toh Pehle se hi socha tha ye sab. Ye sab hum kabhi nahi bhulenge." I replied. 

He smiled. I could see happiness in his eyes. He was elated at the arrival of the new child. And I always wanted to see him like that. Now, my wishes are being fulfilled. He's happy and I'm happy as well. Well, his smile brings a smile on my face as well. He embraced me in a hug and then made me eat the breakfast that he prepared. He never pays heed to my denial. He knows I won't care for myself, so he has turned little strict with me. Leaving me to finish the food, he went to get ready. I was confused, because neither we had any meeting, nor it was the day of my checkup. Or maybe, I forgot. He was combing his hair, when I looked up at him. 

"Tum kahin ja rahe ho?" I asked. 

He looked at me and then nodded affirmatively. 

"Haan Roo. Wo Mr. Sahni milna chahte hain. Main tumhe batana bhul gaya tha. Wo aaj bahar ja rahe hai, toh aaj hi meeting karna chahte hai."  he told me. 

"kahan jana hai? I mean unke office ja rahe ho ya kisi restaurant mein?" I asked. 

He looked at me, and I smiled. I knew he has caught me. I wanted to go out, but he is not willing to take me since he doesn't want me to  exert myself. 

" Jaana toh hotel mein hai, par tum nahi aa rahi ho " he said. 

I pouted at him. He has been a strict person since the day we got to know that we are going to have a baby. I know it's for my good and I love it as well, but what about my heart cravings.

"Vineet please na. Mujhe ghar pe akele nahi rehna. I promise I won't disturb you. Drop me at the central library." I said but received angry glares from him. 

"Tum ghar pe raho." he said. 

I sighed. It's hard to convince him. I looked at him. 

"Acha tum mujhe Sneha ke ghar chod do. Wahan akeli nahi rahungi. " I said. 

He thought for a moment and agreed. Sneha is a doctor and my friend as well. She was my support when Vineet wasn't well and still she is. He agreed and we left home. I was elated to be with Sneha. Vineet assured me that he will be back in two hours and I happily agreed.  I watched him go and got busy in talking with Sneha.

It's Sunday, but I had a meeting to attend. Ruhana asked me to take her along but I didn't want her to exert herself. Neither did I want to leave her alone. She then asked me to drop her to Sneha's place. I agreed. She is a doctor and also Ruhana's good friend. I could be tension free. I met Mr. Sahni  and we did the meeting. The deal was in my hands finally. Mr. Sahni was quite impressed with us and I was elated. Before leaving the place, I called Ruhana to tell the good news but was shocked when Sneha replied and asked me to reach Lifeline hospital. I panicked. Maybe, she got into labour. I have to rush to the hospital. I have to be with her, she might be waiting for me. 

I reached the hospital and asked for Ruhana. I was told that she is taken into labour room.

All I could do was to wait outside. I was pacing up and down in the corridor, I was standing leaning to the door when I heard my name. I looked up to find Sneha before me. She told me that Ruhana has delivered a baby girl. A smile crept on my lips hearing her. She asked me to do some formalities, and post that when I entered Ruhana's room, the scenario  in front of me, made me smile.
