Amanda Pov

I was dosing on the couch as Sammy was having a nap, (and I was wreaked as she did not sleep at all the night before, but unfortunately teething will do that to a baby), well I was dosing on the couch until there was a loud knock on the front door, (look I was just as surprised as you were to find that I was dosing on the couch here).

Relieved that the knock on the door it didn't actually wake Sammy up, as she didn't sleep the night before, therefore she was really cranky just before she took her nap, (babies are really cranky when they don't sleep mate, though I guess most people know that), well I got up from the couch to answer the front door, (not like I could do much else here to be honest with you mate).

Well it turned out that it was my little sister Anita at the door, which I was a little bit surprised by but I didn't ask her any questions, as I knew that she had her reasons for leaving, just like I did, (so I would have been a massive hypocrite for questioning her like that when I did the exact same thing here, ya know), but I was still a bit concerned for her, (though I don't know wether that feeling of concern was because I was her older sister, or because of these weird motherly feelings going on but hey, what can ya do?).

"Hey Anita, are you ok?"
"Yeah, just needed to get away from Gary, you know"
"Do you at least have somewhere to stay?"
"Of course I do Clara, I just wanted to see if it was actually you here or not"
"Yeah, it's really me, in the flesh"
"You look bloody wreaked, is that the insomnia?"
"Well yes, but also no, I have a baby now"
"Ah, that makes sense, you married too?"
"Yeah, yeah I am"
"I'm glad that you're actually happy then"

I was glad to see that Anita was doing ok, (even if she was living with Gary the dickhead before she actually got to America, ya know), even if I was really worried about how she actually found me, especially because the 'real' me was put down as dead with a whole arse death certificate and everything, (because ya know, I didn't want anyone from home finding me), but I didn't let her know that I was feeling all that in case she just needed her big sister, ya know, (which she did, as apparently I'm great at feelings or something).

"You moving far from here?"
"No no, I'm actually moving a couple of streets down from ya"
"Not far at all then"
"Yeah, it's not that far, right I'll go now so that you can catch up on your sleep or something"
"(Snorts), you're funny Kid"
"I do try to be"

Well I then gave her a hug as she did seem like she needed one, plus trying to leave Essex without Gary knowing where you went was absolutely fucking terrifying, that much I knew from experience, (and I was proud of her for doing it without as much as a person who had her back, ya know, as I couldn't have done it without Toby), anyway, I think that I also needed that hug, as I just needed to know that she was actually ok here, ya know babes.

"Stay safe, alright"
"I'll try to be Clara"
"Alright so"
"Wait, just so I don't accidentally out ya or anything, what do people know ya as?"
"They know me as Amanda Anderson"
"(Snorts)"
"Oh fuck off"
"Gladly deary"

I rolled my eyes, as little sisters are just like that sometimes, ya know, (or maybe you don't know that, not everyone has a little sister here), it was all in good banter of course, and she knew that, (which I was thankful for, as I don't think that I was in the state of mind to try and fix it).

"Anyway, Anita what name have you chosen so that I don't slip up?"
"Katie"
"Cool, I'm glad that you're here"
"Me too, right, I'll actually go and let you go back to whatever Mumsy shit that you were doing before I interrupted you"
"(Snorts), I'll try"

So Anita went to her house and I shut the front door as I was bloody wreaked tired, (plus the whole surprise visit thing threw me for a loop if I'm being completely honest with you here), I was slightly surprised that Sammy was still asleep through all that but I wasn't going to question it, (as I was just a really tired Mum here), (plus being tired does bloody mess with you a lot, ya know mate).
