10 YEARS LATER

A man was sleeping peacefully in his room, hugging a small boy. A lady came in the room to witness both still drowned in their dreamlands. She shook the man, trying to wake him up. The man stirred in sleep and tightend his grip on the young boy more.

Lady: Abhi, utho na. Tumhe phir office bhi to jana hai. Utho Abhi. Dekho tumhari princess kabki uth gayi hai. Ab tum bhi utho. Abhi, utho na.

Abhishek, instead of waking up, pulled his beautiful wife beside him.

Abhi (sleepy tone): Vaishu, tum bhi sojao aur mujhe bhi sone do. Appu ko bhi bulao. Use kaho vo bhi so jaye. Bilkul tumpe gayi hai vo. Dekho, mera prince kaise so raha hai.

Vaishu: Ha kyuki tumhara prince tumpe gaya hai.

Vaishnavi, Abhi's wife retorted back. 

Vaishu: Abhi, ab agar tum nahi uthe na to mai Sid ko kehke tumhe injections dilvaungi phir mere paas rote hue mat aana ki injections kyu diye.

Abhi woke up with a jerk and glared Vaishu who smirked.

Abhi: Kitni buri ho yaar tum Vaishu. Apne pati ki nind aise kon kharab karta hai. And it's so wrong to blackmail someone with their weakness.

Vaishu: Seriously Abhi? Tum ab tak injection se darte ho? Tumhare bacche tak nahi darte unse. After all mere pe jo gaye hai.

She flipped her hairs proudly which poked in Abhi's eyes. Abhi made an irritated face, removing her hairs from his face.

Abhi (irritatedly): Yaar Vaishu, apne baal sambhalo. Ek tum ho aur dusri vo Appu hai jo humesha mere aankh me apne baal nochti ho.

That's when they heard a scream. They got shocked and were about to go but a small girl of around 6 years came running towards them. She jumped on Abhi hugging him tightly. Abhi was shocked but neverthlessly he rubbed her back, calming her. Due to her scream, the boy got up. Vaishu saw him and hugged him, patting his head to drew him back to sleep.

Abhi: Kya hua princess? Itni dari hui kyu ho? Papa ko batao.

That's when they heard 3 people's laugh. Abhi looked at the door only to find his twin with his wife and 8 year old son laughing whole heartedly. Abhi's heart warmed seeing his twin happy but soon he became confused on why they were laughing?

Abhi: Ashu, kya hua hai? Yaha Apurva dari hui hai aur tum teeno haas rahe ho? Hua kya hai?

Abhi asked getting concerned about his daughter, Apurva. Sidashek had lost their parents at age 10 so they decided to keep their first born's name of their parents. As Siddharth had a son, he kept his name Shashank while Abhishek kept his first daughter's name Apurva and second son's name Abhinav, a mixture of Abhishek and Vaishnavi. Vaishnavi and Avneet, Sidshek's wives had no objection on it. They knew Sidshek's past and happily kept those names. Avneet was 9 months pregnant and all were waiting for Sidneet's second child. Being 8 and 6, Shashank and Apurva were perfect copy of Tom and Jerry. Their day never ended without pranking and fighting with eachother. At times, they even involved the elders in their pranks. The home was again lively. After Abhishekk met his Dadu Dadi, in 2 years only they passd away. Abhishek had aleady sold the Patil Mansion and was living with Sid in Nigam Mansion. He had renamed his company from Patil Empire to Nigam Empire. They married their love of life and had children.

Abhi (sternly): Ashu, maine kuch pucha hai.

Vaishu made Avu sit on bed as it was not good for her to keep standing for so long.

Shashank: Mai batata hu Chachu. Appu na, chipkalise dar gayi. 

Apurva (snuggling into Abhi): Papa, humare gharme chipkali hai. Vo bhi bohot badi.

Before Abhi or Sid could say anything, Vaishu shouted.

Vaishu: Chipkali!? Aaa.... Bachao..... Chipkali.

Vaishu started running in the room. Sid hold her to prevent her from running. In all this chaos, 3 year old Abhinav got up and was seeing the drama with a grin like watching a cartoon.

Sid: Vaishu, Vaishu, humare ghar me chipkali nahi hai. Shashi pranked Appu.

Abhi laughed seeing Vaishu while Vaishu glared him.

Abhi: Koi keh raha tha ki Appu uspe gayi hai. Sahi kaha. Dono Maa beti chipkali se darti hai.

Abhi laughed more. Appu made a grumpy face and hit Abhi on his chest with chubby hands.

Appu (whine): Papa...

All laughed seeing her whine. Suddenly Avu started screaming in pain as she started getting labour pains. Vaishu got that. Abhinav started crying hearing the screams. Vaishu took Abhinav in her arms.

Vaishu: Sid, take her to hospital. She is getting labour pains.

Sid nodded and took Avu to hospital. Abhi quickly got ready till then Vaishu calmed Abhinav.

Abhi: Vaishu, mai hospital ja raha hu. Tum ghar pe hi rehna bacchon ke saath, ok?

Vaishu nodded. Abhi was about to leave when Shashank hugged him by his leg. Abhi stoppd and kneeled down. Shashank hugged him properly while crying.

Abhi: Kya hua mere champ ko?

Shashank: Chachu, mumma ko kya hua? Vo theek to hai na? Papa unhe hospital kyu le gaye?

Abhi (caressing his hairs): Baccha, aapka ek chota bhai ya behen aane wali hai is duniya me. Isi liye Papa mumma ko leke hospital gaye. Jald hi aap ek bade bhai banoge. Shashi strong hai na? Then stop crying. Tum Chachi ki help karo. Mumma aur chotu baby ka welcome karna hai na?

Shashank nodded. Abhi kissed his forehead and wiped his tears. He hugged all the three children and left. Vaishu made Apurva and Shashank engaged in their studies while she bathed Abhinav and made him ready.

In Hospital
Sid was pacing the length of the corridor. He was time to time glancing towards the OT getting restless. He felt a hand on his shoulder and hugged that person knowing it was his twin. Abhi too hugged him back. Abhi remembered Sid at time of Shashank's birth. That time too he was crying out of restlessness and now too he was doing the same. Abhi's state was no different than Sid at birth time of Apurva and Abhinav. Just the thing was, Abhi had cried till he Vaishu opened her eyes. But Sid got calmed after Abhi explained and comforted him. Both were sitting on the waiting chairs, waiting for the nurse or doctor to come and give them the good news. Sid was hugging Abhi like his life depended on him. Abhi too was caressing his hairs.

Abhi: Ashu, tujhe yaad hai jab Apurva hui thi tab tu kitna khush tha?

Sid (chuckled): Ha. Tujhse jyada mai hi kud raha tha khushi ke maare. After all vo meri pehli bhanji thi. Shashank ke vakt tu bhi to mujhse jyada kuda tha. As vo tumhara pehla bhanja tha.

Both chuckled as they remembered those times. 

Abhi: Ashu, tujhe pata hai, jabbhi mai Apurva aur Shashank ko dekhta hu, unme mumma papa hi dikhte hai mujhe. They are ditto copy of mumma papa. Aisa lagta hai jaise mumma papa ke childhood version ho vo dono.

Sid: Mujhe to unme hum dono dikhte hai. Bachpan ke Abhishek aur Siddharth. Humbhi ek dusre se ladte the, pranks karte the par ek dusre ke biger reh nahi sakte the. Mujhe unme Ishu bhi dikhti hai. Same attitude, same style. They are mixture of all of us.

Abhi: True. 

Sid kept his head on Abhi's shoulder, remembering their childhood memories.

Sid: Abhu, mujhe ball paas kar.

Said a 6 year old Sid to his twin when they were playing with their friends. They were playing a football match having Sidshek in one team as usual. Abhi kicked the ball, passing it to Sid but a member of another team pushed Abhi causing him to miss the kick and fall on the ground, tripping on the ball. Abhi fell down and all ran towards him. Sid was first.

Sid: Abhu, Abhu kya hua? Dikha mujhe. Kaha lagi tujhe? Dikha.

Sid tried examining Abhi's wound who was crying in pain. Sid saw Abhi got hit on his knee as it was bleeding. Even there were scratches on various parts. Sid gasped and his eyes turned teary. He quickly removed his handkerchief and tied it on Abhi's knee, stopping the blood flow. He helped Abhi in getting up by giving him support. Abhi limped as his ankle got sprained. Sid made Abhi sit and called their coach. The coach saw Abhi's wound and called their parents. Appu and Shashank came in a short while. Till then Abhi was crying. Appu ran towards him and engulfed him in a hug. Sensing his mother's warmth, Abhi cried hard.

Abhi: Mumma, dukh raha hai.

Shashank picked Abhi and took him to the car. He then drove the car to hospital. They got Abhi's wound dressed after lots of efforts. After coming home, Sid told them the whole matter. They even placed a complaint of the boy who pushed Abhi. Abhi was finding difficulty in walking due to knee injury. So till it got healed, Sid took proper care of him.

Sid smiled remembering that flashback. That made him much calm than before. That's when doctor came out with a baby in her hand.

Dr: Congratulations Mr Nigam, beti hui hai.

She said iving the baby to Sid who took the baby girl with teary eyes. Abhi called Vaishu and gave her the good news who squealed in happinesss and kept sugar in front of god's idol. Dr took the baby back and kept her in cardel in a general room where Avu was going to be shifted. Abhi hugged Sid congratulating him.

They went inside Avu's cabin. Sid sat beside Avu who looked at him with happy tears in her eyes.

Avu: Sid, hume beti hui hai.

Sid: Ha Avu.

Sidneet: Congratulations Mumma/Papa

Sidneet hugged each other getting emotional. Abhi fake coughed making them part away.

Abhi: Mujhe bhi milne de. Bahar baby se milne nahi diya ab baby ki maa se to milne de. Avu, congratulations. Baby ka naam kya socha hai?

Avu: Thanks. Naam Sid ko pata hai.

Abhi: Hain!? Tujhe nahi pata? Aise kaise?

Sid: Vo humne tye kiya tha ki ladki hui to mai naam rakhunga aur ladka hua to ye.

Abhi: Oh! To kya naam rakha hai?

Sid: Ishika.

Abhi and Sid's eyes turned teary remembering Ishu. Avu clutched Sid's hand tightly, making him feel calm. Abhi wiped his tears. Vaishu came there with children and congratulated Sidneet. Appu and Shashank too congratulated seeing Vaishu doing it. They went near baby and wee fascinated by her. Vaishu stoode beside them with Abhinav, having a eye on them to ensure baby's safety. They talked a little and left.

After 3 days, Avu was discharged. Vaishu welcomed her by doing her and baby's arti. She even removed evil eyes by applying black dot behind both mother's and baby's ear. After 3 months they held a grand naming ceremony. They kept their children's name after the ones they lost.

Sidshek spent their lives happily with their wives and children.
