Childhood: Cora had a somewhat strict upbringing and wasn't allowed to make friends or even have friends home from school. In later years she and Sherlock began to rebel from the tight hold her parents had on them.

Consulting Detective: Cora studied Art History at University until it got to be too much of what her parents expected from her until she fell off the wagon and started taking drugs. She later got help from her older brother Mycroft to get sober, and she and Sherlock later began helping Scotland Yard with crimes.
