Julie's POV

I watch out the bus window sadly as the driver heads in the opposite direction of my Mom. I don't mean to sound like a brat because I am grateful Mama's staying with me, but I really wanted Mom to. Mom's always the one to take care of me when I don't feel well and I like her cuddles more. I let a big breath out of my nose and lean my head against the glass. 

"JJ, honey?" asks Mama pulling my hair back from face to behind my ear. I wait for her to say something else, but she never does. I glance over at her and see the nervous look on her face. Mommy why did you send me with her? After a few more seconds of us staring at each other I turn and look back out the window. My stomach starts to cramp so I shift my weight to my hip and bring my knees to my chest. "Love bug?" questions Mama again while putting her hand on my back. "What do you want me to do baby?" I groan and grit my teeth trying to keep myself from crying. "Baby I-"

"Just hold me!" I say before sucking in a deep breath. I should have gotten my prescription filled! If period pain is this bad I am never ever having kids! I'm sorry Zac, but baby we're just going to have to adopt or something because I don't think I'll be able to take it. Mama fumbles to get me in cradled in her lap. "Mama-" I breathe. "It hurts so bad!"

"I know Jules." she tries to soothe while bouncing me slightly. "Try to calm down for me kiddo. I'll get you something as soon as we make it to the hotel." I whimper and squeeze my eyes tightly together to hold back my tears. After what feels like forever, Mama finally carries me into the hotel and up to her and Mom's room. Mama gently lays me down on her bed before rushing over to her suitcase. She throws me a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. "Change into that while I go get a heating pad from Dawn. I'll be right back." Mama runs out leaving me by myself. I slowly get up and put on the clothes. I hang my dress over the desk chair and grab a gatorade out of the mini fridge. I think the cramps are over for now. I grab my phone and lay back on Mom's bed. I grab their remote and flip around before settling on an old episode of Grey's. Oh this is the one Mer and Derek get Zola! She's such a cute kid! I continue to happily watch the show for a few more minutes before Mama comes back in. "Oh hey baby girl." she says surprised. She puts the pad down on the desk and places the ice pack she also got in the little ice bucket. "You look a lot better than when I left you."

"Yeah I'm okay for right now." I tell her with a small grin. "Do you have any candy?" 

She lowers her head and raises one of her eyebrows, "Absolutely not."

"I know Mom has chocolate..." I mumble while scooting over so she can sit next to me. 

"How do you know that?" she questions while pulling the blankets from under me and then putting them over the both of us. She's sitting up with her back against the headboard so I move down to rest my head on her rib cage. "Did you snoop around in her stuff while I was gone? JB I thought she talked to you about that. You know better than to-"

"No!" I say loudly cutting her off. "I saw her eating Hershey Kisses earlier." I explain looking up at her. "Hey Mama?" 

"Yeah babe?" she responds while changing the channel.

"What was in that box you had?" I ask curiously. 

"What box?" she asks back still glued to the television. 

"The one that was in your bag. Mom told me to put it back."

"Oh that thing? Just something I ordered." she finally says after putting on the news. "What are your plans after recovery tomorrow baby?"

"Um I think Christen, Kelley, and I are going somewhere. I'm not sure yet though." I tell her while watching the weather. "It's going to be windy and wet. Wonderful."

"You need to wear your coat tomorrow and I better not see you in shorts." she says starting to play with my hair. "Just make sure you let one of us know what you're up to, alright?" she instructs referring to her and Mom. "I'd hate to have to ground you for the rest of our time off." I roll my eyes and choose not to respond. We get all day tomorrow after morning recovery, the next day, and then all of the next day until a light training session starting at I think four to ourselves. "I think your Mom wants to have a you and her thing before we start back."

"Really?" I quickly ask looking up at her with a huge smile. I haven't had any Mom and JJ time in a while! I love going out with her! I can't help but notice the sadness on Mama's face. "Mama what's wrong?"

"Nothing love bug." she says getting up. She carefully places my head down on a pillow before getting out of bed completely. "There's a vending machine down the hall. You like M&Ms don't you?" I nod while looking at her strangely. "Alright baby. I'm going to go get us some, okay?"

"Okay." I say watching her pull on her shoes. "Mama-" 

Carli's POV

"Mama-" I faintly hear Julie start before the door fully shuts behind me. I cover my face with my hands and groan. Why does she get so excited to be with Hope, but not with me? I just don't get it! I rub my eyes before walking down to the end of the hallway and buying her some chocolate. I'm hoping this will make her like me more. I watch impatiently as the machine slowly releases the package and it falls. Damn it Carli listen to yourself! Am I really about to go try to win my kids love with some bite sized diabetes? I sigh and reach down to snatch the little bag before going back to the room. 

"JB I've got your-" I start before hearing a whimper from the other side of the room. I look up from my shoes I was trying to kick off to her and freeze. She curled into a ball crying in pain. "Jules?" I question tossing the M&Ms down on my bed while making my way to Hope's. "Baby what's wrong?"

"Ma-ma!" she sobs into her knees. I nervously sit down next to her and take her into my arms. "I'm cramping again!" I hold her tighter and rock her back and forth. 

"Shh princess. Shh you're going to be alright." I say softly trying to calm her down. She continues to cry and whimper so I stand up and bounce her around the room desperately trying to quiet her. "Julie breathe baby. C'mon baby just breathe." After a few minutes of me trying to console her she starts to get fussy and tries to squirm out of my grip. "Jay stop that please."

"Put me down!" she says suddenly becoming angry. She pushes against me trying to get away. "Mama!" she burst loudly kicking her feet. 

"Julie!" I say dropping her back on the bed. "Knock it off young lady!"

"Ugh!" she groans rolling onto her stomach. I pop her butt making her whimper. "Ow Mama!"

"I know you're hurting, but your attitude is unacceptable." I say sternly. She huffs and buries her head in a pillow. I glare at her, but leave her be. She'll just keep fighting if I push anymore. I get my laptop from my bag and check my emails. 

"Mama?" asks Julie rolling around on the other bed. "My tummy hurts!"

"I know." I say scrolling through my Gmail account. I need to call back the Nike people. They want to do a commercial soon.

"When's Mommy coming back?" she whines. "I want Mom!" I sigh and close my computer. 

"Jules she'll be home later." I tell her while flipping on Spongebob for her to watch. "Watch the show babe."

"No! I want Mommy!" she yells kicking the sheets off the bed. 

"Julie Beth." I sigh exasperated. I pick the blankets up from the floor and put them back. "Stop it baby."

She kicks them off again, "Mommy."

"Your mom is going to be very upset when she finds out how you've acted tonight." I warn picking the sheets up once more and placing them back on the bed. "You better straighten up before-"

"Hey girls!" says Hope obnoxiously loud coming into the room. I turn and look at her. She looks at me weirdly before looking around me to Julie. "JJ why are you crying baby girl?" she asks concerned. She just whimpers and holds her arms out in return. Hope goes and scoops her up. "Car how long has she been like this? Why didn't you just call me?"

"Not that long, but she's been asking for you since she started back up." I explain while watching her calm her down. 

"Go get me that heating pad please." directs Hope holding Julie up with one arm and fixing her bed with the other. I hand it to her just as she lays her back down. She plugs the thing in behind the bed and places down on JJ's stomach. Hope kisses her head before taking a Sprite from the fridge and putting a straw in it. "Baby sip on this." she says sitting on the edge of the bed and holding it to her lips. Julie takes a few gulps before laying back down. Hope smiles softly and kisses her forehead. "Let me change and I'll lay with you, okay?" JJ nods so Hope takes some clothes into the bathroom before coming out dressed in her pajamas. 

"You want me to turn the lights and TV off J-Bug?" I ask already reaching for the lamp. 

"Can we leave the TV on?" she asks shyly. 

"Of course baby girl." answers Hope getting into the bed next to her. "I love you baby. C'mon it's time to go to sleep."

"I love you too." I hear her whisper after I turn of the light. "Goodnight Mama. I love you."

"Goodnight love bug. I love you too pretty girl." I say back. Before I know it I hear both hers and Hope's snores along with Spongebob's annoying singing. I mute it but leave it on incase Jay wakes up. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day for JB and I. At least I hope it will.
