Takes place between chapter 10- 29, so basically arc 2

Gonta was seen walking down a street clearly pissed.
" Fucking teacher telling me I'm a waste of potential" he said kicking the ground. " Who do they think they are!" He said

He kept walking angrily until he bumped into a short statured woman.

" Hey watch it!" He screamed. " oh my" said the woman. " What seems to be your malfunction?" She asked concerned.

" None of your business!" He said.
" You are such the young man, why must you scream?" She asked.

Gonta felt himself tear up. " You don't know me... don't judge me alright!" He said.

The woman looked at him with pity. She grasped his hand. " Come with me child" she told him. Like a child who had just gotten separated from their mom, he followed her.

She took him to a church and sat him in the cathedral. " Kids! I'm back" the woman called. Gonta heard rapid foot steps running towards them. Several kids ran to the woman hugging her.

" Ms. Hikone, who is that?" One boy pointed at Gonta. " Oh, he is a man that hopes to volunteer here" she told them.

" W-What? I never said- " YAAAAY! New friend!" The orphaned children said taking Gonta's giant hand.
" C'mon! Let's go play!" They said taking him.

Gonta wanted to resist but he was too dead inside.

He played many games with the kids. Even though he had a bad attitude at first, the children did not care. They continued to smile and play with Gonta. He eventually found himself smiling with them.

They played for hours on end.

3 hours later
The lady told the kids they had to go to bed. " NOOO" the groaned. "C'mon, it is very late" she instructed

The children gave up and stood up.
" Hey Mr. Gonta?" One of the girls asked. " Yeah?" He responded. " Can you come back tomorrow?" She asked.

Gonta would normally say no and tell her to fuck off but for some reason he didn't want to this time. He liked these kids. Even with his intimidating appearance they didn't judge him. He needed that.

" Of course" he said. " It's a promise" he said giving her his pinky finger that the child took with both hands.

The children went upstairs to bed.

" Hey Lady? What's your name?" He asked

" Ms. Hikone" she said. " You are a good man" she said smiling at him.

Gonta walked to the door. " Thank you... Ms" he said

" I'll be back" he said leaving

And thus everyday after that occurrence, he went to the orphanage
