The next morning, Kurapika slowly opened his eyes. All night, he was trying to figure out how to one, help Gon and Killua and two, somehow learn or discover what exactly happened to the two of them, so that he could help. Kurapika sighed and rolled over, only to be met with Leorio's face. Kurapika would've been fine with sleeping on the couch, but Leorio insisted that Kurapika slept in his bed. Obviously, Kurapika was fine with that. He smiled softly. He missed these type of feelings.

Even though Leorio never announced his feelings towards Kurapika, they both knew that the feelings were there. Kurapika tried to sit up, but was pulled back down by Leorio. "Mhmm. Five more minutes..." Leorio mumbled. Kurapika smiled gently. "C'mon Leorio. I have a feeling Gon and Killua are already awake." He replied. Leorio sighed and sat up. "I'd like to avoid those two from setting the house on fire." Leorio replied. Kurapika smiled a bit. "They maybe 13, but they sure are dangerous." He agreed. The two stood up from bed and Kurapika grabbed his blue and yellow robe from the chair. Together, Leorio and Kurapika walked out into the living room.

On the couch sat Gon and Killua, just snuggling against one another. Kurapika smiled softly. "Oh, morning." Killua mumbled, noticing the two standing there. Gon lifted his head up and smiled brightly. "Morning!" He exclaimed. "Good morning. You two sleep well?" Kurapika questioned. Gon nodded. "For the most part. Gon wouldn't stop snoring." Killua replied. "I don't snore what are you talking about Killua?!" Gon exclaimed, looking at Killua in question. Leorio and Kurapika just stood there to watch the scene go down. "You do too! What do you want me to do?! Record you on my beetle phone, cause' I will!" Killua replied.

"I don't snore!" Gon simply exclaimed. Everyone could tell Killua had won the argument. Poor Gon was still trying to steal the win. After, Leorio made breakfast and they sat down to eat. Once everyone was finished, Killua picked out a movie to watch and then sat down again, Gon snuggling up to him and Killua wrapped his arms around him. Meanwhile, Leorio pulled Kurapika close to him and Kurapika rested his head on Leorio's shoulder. After the movie was finished, no one moved or made a sound. "Hey Kurapika. You know about the NGL fiasco right?" Killua asked.

Kurapika nodded. "Yeah. What type of Hunter would I be if I didn't know how the Chairman died." Leorio looked at Gon and Killua. Were they really okay with doing this now? "Do you know what exactly happened?" Killua continued. Kurapika thought for moment. Probably making sure he had the right information.

"A species called Chimera Ants were being born, and they were quickly evolving because of eating humans. They developed Nen techniques and acquired human characteristics and such. They were feeding humans to the Queen, and the Hunter Association sent in a team of strong Hunters to prevent the Queen from giving birth to the King. And at the same time, lower the population of Chimera Ants." Kurapika explained.

"And? Anything else?"

"And they didn't manage to stop the King from being born. The King had killed the Queen and began eating humans thanks to the help of the Royal Guards. So the Hunters regrouped. The Chairman died while fighting the King, and the Hunters took on the Royal Guard and any Squadron Leader left." Kurapika concluded. He looked at the three in confusion.

"Why are you asking me about that Killua?" He asked. Killua sighed. "I forgot they didn't publicly release who fought the Ants." Killua mumbled. Kurapika raised an eyebrow. "Names? You mean the names of the Hunters that fought? It was Morel and Knov. Even if their names weren't released everyone knows that." Kurapika replied. "It took more than just-" Killua tried, but Gon cut him off. "Morel-San and Knov-San had their apprentices too. Knuckle, Palm and Shoot." He concluded. "Yeah..." Kurapika trailed off, still confused. "But I don't get it. What does it have to do with you two?" He asked.

Kurapika so far had gathered that this was about Gon and Killua. Considering they were doing the talking and Leorio was just sitting there. "Well. The Chairman had his own form of apprentices too." Gon explained. Kurapika was only more confused. "But the Chairman never took apprentices." He explained. "Nah. He never said it officially. But, I always knew Gon and I were his favorites." Killua stated. Finally, Kurapika began to understand what exactly was going on. And he had hoped that his thoughts were wrong. "You two.." Kurapika jumped up. He noticed how Gon and Killua flinched back a bit, because of the sudden movement.

"You didn't....." He whispered.

"We did." Gon confirmed.

"Even the Royal Guard?" Kurapika questioned.

"Yeah." Kurapika looks at them.

"You two.....you're idiots. How are you not dead?" He wondered.

A sad laugh escapes Killua's lips. Kurapika just watches as Gon wrapped his arms around Killua, seeking some form of comfort. Some sort of touch, to let Gon know he is alive. And he's safe. Killua hugs Gon and they stay like that. "I'm still not entirely sure on that one." Killua replied. Kurapika noticed the emotions in both Killua and Gon's eyes.

"You don't...." Kurapika began, realizing how painful it was for them to talk about. "You don't have to continue." He said gently. Killua just sighes and Gon shakes his head. "We know that." Gon replies. Kurapika felt a hand gently touch his arm. Kurapika sees Leorio searching for his hand. When the two make eye contact, Leorio gently tugs on Kurapika's sleeve, signaling to sit down. Kurapika nodded and did what was asked. He felt embarrassed almost for his lack of self control.

"Someone....Someone I cared about died because of the Chimera Ants. He was protecting me and Killua. Pitou- A Chimera Ant. It was a Royal Guard- killed him. It came out of nowhere and attacked him. He told us to run away. I didn't know at the time. But he was dead. And when I found out...I....I didn't know what to do. I..I-" "You lost it." Killua finished. "He wasn't thinking properly." He added.

"Pitou was using some sort of puppet Nen to control Kite. He was already dead. But Pitou put him back together and made him fight..." Gon continued. Kurapika felt frozen. He could never imagine someone he cared about deeply that died, being stitched back together and used to fight, just to be torn apart again. Kurapika couldn't even imagine the corpse with a familiar face. He wouldn't be able to handle it.

"Morel-San's apprentice, Shoot captured him. I was able to see Kite again. I was so happy. But that happiness turned to anger once I saw him. He...He wasn't the same." Gon sighed softly, as if he was trying to catch his breath. "I was so set on making Pitou fix him......I threatened an innocent girl just because Pitou was fixing her and not Kite. When I found out Kite was dead, I sacrificed everything I had in order to kill Pitou. And it worked. I destroyed myself in the process though. I was okay with dying. I failed to protect people. I was so caught up in my own selfish actions that I didn't even realize Killua was hurting too." Gon said sadly.

Kurapika looked over to Killua. He can tell by the way he's hugging Gon closer to him, that he's under distress. Images of what Gon and Killua were probably thinking about, flashed into Kurapika's mind. "I used to have this problem."

And bam! Part one! This chapter was long and yeah. I'm gonna write part two now cause I have ideas lol. These two chapters tug at the feels ;-; See you all next chapter! Bai!
