Rich stared at his phone screen, growing confused. Just a few minutes before, he and Jake had been texting, neither one leaving more than a minute's space between their replies. However, after Rich mentioned he was lonely, it had been six minutes, and Jake hadn't said a word.

Not much made Rich nervous, but this managed to take the ticket. Did something happen to him? Was mentioning that I was lonely a turn-off?

These thoughts rushed through his head until he heard tires screech from outside his window. Frowning, but thinking nothing more of it, he locked his phone and sighed in concern.

Seven more minutes passed before Rich got a text. He quickly unlocked his phone, but was confused by what he saw.

Jake: Open your window.

Frowning again, Rich stood up and walked cautiously to his window. He opened it slowly and felt a million things happen at once. Next thing he knew, he was on the floor of his room, staring up at the silhouette who had just tackled him.

"Jake? What the hell?" Rich said, rubbing his head as he sat up.

"Shh, I don't want your parents hearing," the newly revealed Jake said, laughing as he hugged his boyfriend.

"What are you doing here? And how the hell did you get up here?" Rich questioned, concerned as he searched Jake for any sign of injury.

"Couldn't deny my own boyfriend my presence when he says he's lonely," Jake winked. "Also, you have bricks sticking out of the side of your house."

"You climbed those?!" Rich squeaked frantically.

"Hey, no worries, babe," Jake joked, laughing.

"Right... You're much more capable than I give you credit for," Rich sighed as he gave up his search. But he found himself smiling once his worries subsided.

"So? No hug back? I was thinking, since I did come all this way-" But he was unable to respond before Rich was tackling him back.

"C'mere, loser," Rich replied as he giggled into his neck.

"I love you," Jake said, chuckling lightly.

"Love you too, maniac."
