"The cat's on your head."

"Yes, Jeremy. The cat is on my head."

Michael replied to his boyfriend nonchalantly, laying on the couch. He had his head on the arm of the couch as he scrolled through some gaming blog, and, sure enough, their cat was resting both on the couch arm and on his head. 

Jeremy laughed and stroked the cat's head. "I think she likes you."

"Ha, yeah. Way more than I like her."

"Micah, please be nice to our child."

"She's a cat! Not a human!"

Jeremy pretended to gasp as he playfully covered the cat's ears.

Michael finally laughed and sat up, causing the cat to stand and stretch. "You love that cat too much."

Jeremy smiled and lifted the cat into arms and sat on the couch next to Michael. "Maybe. But, I love you more."

Michael wrapped his arm around Jeremy's shoulder, leaning against him. "Oh, how comforting. I'm loved more than a cat."
