Gingerbread Kids (Oneshot; 24)

This is an idea that developed from a discord server becca and I are on. I had fun with this one eheh. Enjoy a Christmasy oneshot <3

"I need the frosting!" Jeremy wailed hopelessly, watching as his gingerbread house fell for the umpteenth time that day.

"Yeah, we kinda all do," Chloe commented, exasperated.

"DUDE, MICHAEL, GIVE ME THE FROSTING!" Rich yelled, attempting to tackle Michael, who smoothly dodged.

He had monopolized the bag of liquid sugar for over half an hour now, and his creation was gloriously monstrous.

"Yo, Michael, is that a windmill?" Everyone turned at this. It was true. Michael had made a windmill that, to everyone's astonishment, was turning on its own.

Chloe managed a, "Michael, what the fuck," before returning to her phone, rolling her eyes.

"Hey... where'd my other roof go?" Brooke asked, frowning at her lacking pile of gingerbread.

"Rich, that's going to fall so quickly, I guarantee it," Jenna began, laughing loudly at what appeared to be a giant tower of gingerbread. "I'll be there to film it, though."

"My tower will never fall," Rich promised. "I have the power..."

"You're using superglue on a gingerbread house?" Jeremy asked, having just lifted his head from the carnage of his cookie home.

"That's chaotic evil, man," Jake finished. "And I'm in, take my gingerbread, I give up on waiting for Michael's stupid masterpiece."

Rich held his hand up for a high five, and they slapped hands.

"Oh, you can have my extra pieces too," Christine mentioned through a very concentrated silence. She had a carving knife and was making what looked like a skull. The pile in front of her had a carved bird and some mistletoe as well.

"YEAH!" Rich yelled excitedly. "This tower's gonna be as tall as my di-!"

Rich was cut off by a small piece of cookie being shoved into his mouth. "Spare us, please," Jeremy said. He sighed, "Okay, this house is beyond saving. I donate my gingerbread to the Michael empire."

Rich gasped, "YOU TRAITOR!"

"He's investing in safety," Michael snickered. "Your tower is Babel just waiting to happen."

"Tch- appealing to Jeremy's Jew, I see what you're doing."

Jeremy snorted. "I'd give it to him anyways."

"Aw thanks, my favowite pewson," Michael said jokingly.

"Brooke, hun, what are you doing?" Chloe asked as she looked up from her phone, oblivious to the outer chaos surrounding them.

Brooke looked up from her path made of candy. "Well, my gingerbread disappeared..."

"Wait, that looks familiar, are you making- Brooke oh my God, is that the Candy Land board?" Brooke giggled. "I love you."

"Chloe, what did you make?" Rich asked, looking over at her very poorly put together house.

"Hey, mine is better than all of yours," she defended, fully aware of how much hers resembled Jeremy's attempt.

Rich attempted to grab a piece of it before Chloe slapped his wrist. "It's better off just going on my tower," Rich pouted.

"You are not touching my modern art."

"Fiiiiine," Rich conceded.

Suddenly, a loud noise grabbed everyone's attention. Christine had stood on a chair and was holding up her finished cookie skull.

"TO BE, OR NOT TO BE! That is the question," she recited dramatically. "Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take the arms against a sea of troubles and, by opposing, end them."

"I was wondering why she was so quiet," Michael admitted.

They all clapped as she bowed. "Should I keep going?"

"Uhh, no, no, Christine, that was beautiful, I don't think we could take any more of your- er- dramatic talent!" Jenna said, trying to contain laughter.

She pondered this. "Alright! Some other time." She smiled widely.

"Umm, guys? That Tower of Babel thing? Just might come true," Jeremy said nervously.

Everyone turned to Rich's cookie tower. It was wobbling dangerously after one last roof was added.

"I admit defeat," Rich said solemnly.

"WHAT?! Rich! My mom's gonna kill me if we leave that kind of mess!" Brooke yelled nervously.

But it was too late. The tower was already tipping as Jenna burst into laughter, taping it closely.

Everyone screamed as the tower came crashing down, thus ending Rich's short reign.

"I WIN!" Michael exclaimed.

"BS, Mell," Rich said.

"Oo, have anything left to back that up, Richie boy?"

"I will punch you so hard."

Michael laughed as he grabbed Jeremy's hand. "We're leaving, gotta go!"

"Wh- Michael?!"

"LONG LIVE THE COOKIE KING!" Michael yelled as the two ran out the house. "Now let's get some hot chocolate."

Yes. That's them. Gingerbread houses. I liked writing it. I hope it was enjoyable. (Christine recited hamlet because I just finished reading hamlet and that scene was on the mind forgive my nerd)
