<Drama Queen entered the chatroom>

Drama Queen: Guys! I just got a 98 on my Spanish exam!

<Boyf entered the chatroom>

Boyf: That's great Christine!

<riend entered the chatroom>

riend: Rad. You planning on celebrating?

Drama Queen: celebrating? How?

riend: I've got some extra FunDip from the Halloween party if you want some. We can just chill.

Drama Queen: sounds fun! I'll be over in a bit!

<Drama Queen left the chatroom>

Boyf: why FunDip?

riend: come over. I'll show you.

"W-What?!" Jeremy squeaked when Michael procured a small baggy full of powder.

"I always get high when I'm celebrating!" Michael proclaimed proudly. "Plus, I bet Christine is a weed virgin." Michael wiggled his eyebrows, and Jeremy blushed.

"B-But that's! That'd be lying..." he mumbled.

"Hmmm, if it clears your conscience..." Michael walked over to his cupboard, digging through various spices and boxes of mac n' cheese until he found what he was looking for. He pulled out a single packet of FunDip and winked at Jeremy.

Jeremy looked at him, confused until Michael opened the package and tipped a little into the plastic bag. "There," Michael said. "Now we're not lying."

Jeremy looked like he wanted to say something, but he knew there was no stopping his player two at this rate.

Michael then walked over to his fridge, pulling out three brownies.

"Just three?" Jeremy asked before his hand flew over his mouth, not even sure what he was saying.

Michael burst out laughing. "Oh, hun, any more than this and you'd make less sense than someone who was sleep-talking."

Jeremy found himself relating to this analogy, having listened to his father sleep-talk through the wall frequently. "How much did you put in those?" Jeremy asked, frowning.

"Oh these are just normal brownies," Michael promised. We'll just add a little... topping."

Before Jeremy could protest, the doorbell rang, and Michael grinned mischievously. They both walked over and answered it. "Hey, Christine," Michael said happily.

"Hey!" she replied, smiling.

"Hi..." Jeremy said, less enthusiastically.

Michael asked Jeremy to bring Christine down to the basement while he got everything, and Jeremy reluctantly complied.

"I don't think I've ever been down here," Christine commented, taking in the shelves of vintage video games and the beanbags sprawled in front of an old television.

"This is where Michael and I usually hang out," Jeremy explained.

"It's awfully dark," she commented.

"Oh I'll turn on a-"

But before Jeremy could say anything, Michael bounded down the stairs yelling, "IT'S TIME TO GET HIGH!"

Christine blinked.

"On celebration, silly," Michael saved himself. Jeremy let go of the breath he had been holding.

The only light they had to see was the soft glow from Michael's television, but Jeremy took Michael's interruption earlier as a sign and didn't attempt to turn on a lamp.

"SO! You're going to try something new today, Christine!" Michael exclaimed happily.

Christine looked slightly cautious. "Okay?"

"I'm sure you've had brownies before," Michael commented as Christine nodded. "BUT! Have you had brownies... topped in FUNDIP?"

"W-What? No of course not," Christine said laughing.

"That changes today," Michael said solemnly, earning more giggles from the oblivious girl. He grabbed the plate with three brownies covered in FunDip and what looked to be a pile of finely crushed spice.

"Are you sure this is FunDip?" Christine started. "Some of it kinda looks... greenish?"

"Just the lighting, my dear," Michael replied happily. "You ready?"

"I guess so," she answered. They both took a bite, Christine doing so slower than Michael. "Tastes kinda weird... but I do taste FunDip I guess..."

"You insulting my brownie baking skills? I am offended," Michael said, pretending to look hurt.

Christine snorted. "Guess I never took you as a baking kinda guy."

They both finished their brownies, but Jeremy just stared at it, intimidated. He had never directly eaten weed, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to after what Michael said.

Instead, he started back up a conversation, and the three talked for a while. After about fifteen minutes, however, Jeremy could tell Christine was acting differently.

Usually, her focus could be wavered very easily, but she started to stare at a particular spot on the wall as if she was having a staring contest.

"Christine? You good?" Jeremy asked nervously.

"I feel... like I can sort my thoughts. This has never happened before..." Her voice sounded far off.

"Oh my God, Michael. She has ADD, remember?" Jeremy squeaked, whispering nervously.

"I think I read about this somewhere!" Michael started. "Being high sometimes helps people with ADD focus."

"I'm high?!" Christine slurred slightly.

"Oh, uh... I might've slipped some weed onto your brownie... sorry," Michael said, but Jeremy shook his head knowing Michael wasn't sorry at all.

"Hmmm," Christine hummed, but she was back to staring at the wall.

"Maybe we should go get her some water?" Jeremy suggested.

"Probably a good plan," Michael answered. The two stood up to go upstairs, unaware of their mistake. Christine, broken out of her trance by the sound of the boys walking up the stairs, shifted her gaze to Jeremy's abandoned brownie.

"Aw geez, you spilled some of the water on my foot," Michael complained as the two walked back down the stairs.

"Oh hush, you baby," Jeremy said, sticking his tongue out. Michael had started acting a little high in the time they had gone upstairs, and Jeremy was adjusting to dealing with him. "Wait. Where's Christine?" He looked around and saw that the place he had left his brownie was empty, and he felt his stomach drop.

"HmmMm?" Michael pondered. "Oh," he giggled. "Good question."

Jeremy did not think this was a laughing matter, but he had to let it slide. How much weed was on those brownies? he thought frantically.

He finally found Christine huddled in a corner, poking at the ground. "Christine? You okay?" he called out cautiously. As he approached her, however, she shushed him.

"There's a ladybug," she said, her voice wavering. "How did you get down here, friend?" she asked goofily.

"I brought you some water, Christine," Jeremy said, frowning. But when he turned around, Michael had already downed the whole glass. "I swear to God," he said, exasperated.

Michael hugged him suddenly, his giggling getting more frequent. Christine was still poking at the ladybug. "I feel like I'm with a pair of two year olds," Jeremy commented.

"Heyyy, listen here," Michael started, trying to be angry, but stopping and laughing when he realized the pun he had made. Pretty soon, however, Michael felt heavy on Jeremy's shoulder, and Jeremy came to the realization that he was falling asleep. Groaning, he dragged Michael to the two beanbags and dumped him on them, but Michael was already snoring.

Now... he thought, turning to Christine.

"Jeremy..." she called out quietly.

"Uh, y-yeah?" he replied, not expecting her to speak to him.

"I want Jenny..." she said, her voice getting heavy.

Jeremy recognized this as her nickname for Jenna and grabbed his phone from his pocket.

<Boyf has entered the chatroom>

Boyf: Hey Jenna!

<Female Newsie has entered the chatroom>

Female Newsie: Uh yeah Jeremy? What's up?

Boyf: Can you possibly come pick up Christine from Michael's house? Some stuff went down and I don't think she can walk home.

Female Newsie: Jeremy wtf did you guys do to her?

Boyf: Michael sort of got her high...?

Female Newsie: Oh Good God, I'll be right over.

<Female Newsie has left the chatroom>

<Boyf has left the chatroom>

About ten minutes later, Jeremy heard a couple rings from the doorbell, and he rushed to the door. When he opened it, a worried Jenna pushed past him immediately, heading to the stairway.

"Where is she?" she asked Jeremy.

"Down there in the left corner," he answered.

She quickly made her way down, Jeremy following close behind.

"Jennyyyyy," Christine said, her voice straining. Jenna's face grew red after hearing the nickname but walked over to Christine.

"Hey, babe, you okay?" she asked.

"Carry me?" Christine asked sleepily, leaving Jenna's question unanswered.

"Alright, hun, let's get you home." Jenna hoisted her up bridal-style and turned to Jeremy accusingly. "I can't believe you two!" she whisper-yelled.

"I didn't know what Michael was planning until I got here!" Jeremy replied truthfully.

Jenna sighed. "In truth, I think I'm just jealous you all got to see her high before I did," she said.

Michael giggled from his place on the beanbag chair. Evidently, he had woken up. "I got it on tape," he said, pointing to a camera mounted on the wall. "You want it?" he asked.

Jenna bit her lip for a bit. "I sorta do," she admitted. Michael snickered as Jeremy sighed in disbelief.

"I gotchu, fam," he replied, giving her a thumbs up.

"Alright, well... I'm gonna get this girl home," Jenna said tiredly.

"Bye, Jenna," Jeremy waved. "Thanks."

"I can't refuse a favor for Christine," she let out a sigh as she carried Christine up the stairs.

When the two had left, Jeremy flopped onto the beanbags with Michael and let out a deep breath. He was exhausted, and he hadn't even gotten high.

He felt an arm wrap around his waist, and he placed his hand over it, running his hands through Michael's hair soothingly until they both fell asleep.
