Raina Raina go away

"Raina, come downstairs! It's dinner time!" Tierney Kleinman called out to her daughter.

Raina quickly wiped her eyes and made sure that weren't too puffy before she made her way downstairs. "Mom, what are we having? Did you make dinner?" Tierney shook her head and pointed to a box of pizza on the counter.

"Your father brought home some pizza from Dominos. We're actually going out for dinner tonight, so you better be good while we're out" Mrs. Kleinman told the teen. Raina sighed, disappointed that her parents were leaving her alone again. Yes, she was seventeen, but she didn't even know if they cared about her anymore.

While she was thinking, her parents had left without saying goodbye. Raina ate a couple bites of her pizza, before going outside and placing the box on the porch for the birds and groundhogs to eat. She grabbed her journal and a pencil, scribbling down her thoughts, I don't want to be like this, she wrote, I just want to be me, and I know that this just isn't me. I'm not a girl. At least not inside. I want to be called 'him' and I want to be called 'Jared'.  Jared finished his vent, realizing that he was crying once more. He didn't even bother trying to stop the sorrowful tears from crawling down his red face.

He couldn't take this anymore. He can't deal with knowing that everyone thinks that he is someone he's not. Quickly, he pulled out his phone, texting his only real friend, Evan.

R-Hey Ev?

E-yeah Rain? What's up

R-I need you to come over right now

E-be there in five

A small smile ghosted on Jared's face as he thought about how Evan didn't even need to ask what was wrong, he just immediately agreed to come. After a few minutes of more sobbing, Evan knocked on the door, causing Jared to slowly get up and creep to the door. His hand paused as he was about to open the door, Am I really going to do this? Am I really going to tell him? Evan knocking on the door once more snapped Jared out of his thoughts. Yes. Yes I am. Jared gulped and opened the door, to reveal his tearful face to a concerned Evan.

Evan hugged his best friend and closing the door to keep the warm air in. Jared only cried harder as he clung onto his best friend like a koala to a tree. "E-van..." he sobbed.

Evan pulled away and looked at Jared with care. "What is it Rain?" Jared screamed and fell onto his knees, sobbing. He was shaking his head and squeezing his eyes shut.

"I-I'm no-ot Raina!" He managed to get out while his best friend looked at him with shock and confusion. Evan was about to speak before Jared continued, "Jar-red... My n-name is Jared. I d-don't want to be Raina. I'm Jared and I'm a guy!" Even breathed 'oh' in realization. He embraced Jared and held him close.

"Well, if you want to be Jared and if you want to use male pronouns, then so be it. You're my best friend no matter who you are. I'll stick by your side and help you through this." Evan consoled. Jared smiled at him and embraced his best friend.

"Thank you, Evan." Jared thanked, "Thank you so much. I love you, no homo."

Evan laughed at that. "I love you too," Evan replied, "no homo."

They sat and talked for a while about unimportant topics and random memes. They watched a few RIP Vine compilations and laughed there asses off.

Over the next few months, Evan helped Jared feel more comfortable in his skin. Evan cut Jared's hair for him, He informed strangers who misgendered him what Jared went by, and he even got Jared a binder for his birthday.

"Happy birthday to you~" a Evan sang to Jared. The latter blew out hi birthday candles and wished that one day, he could get a full transformation so he could truly be himself. Evan also wished that as well. Jared opened up his gifts from his parents. They weren't there at the moment, but they left his gifts out so when his birthday rolled around, he could open them. Jared got a couple blouses and short shorts, and even a couple bras, but that stuff wasn't useful to him anymore. They probably just bought some random items form the girl's section of Target or something.

At last, it was time for him to open Evan's gifts. The first one was an iTunes gift card, for Jared loved music and random apps. The second was a mini, handmade trans pride flag, and another pan pride flag. Evan received large hugs for those. The last, and Jared's personal favourite, was a binder from GC2B, an amazing binder selling company. Jared had wanted a binder ever since he realized that he was transgender. Jared was at a loss for words. he teared up and embraced his best friend as tight as possible.

Evan just laughed and hugged back.
