Evan twirled in her dress with her eyeliner on and heels. She smiled in the mirror wishing she could show her boyfriend, Jared. But she was too scared.

Her mom already knew she was genderfluid and she fully supported it. She bought her dresses, makeup, heels, girl shirts, skirts, so she could feel accepted and happy. She fully supported the idea of her coming out, but she knew she would only do that when she was ready, and that was clearly not the case right then.

Evan was so caught up in what she was doing, that she completely forgot that Jared was coming over.

She heard knocking and Jared texted her telling her he was heere. Evan panicked, throwing the dress and the heels into her box, before locking it. Then she threw on a polo and khakis. She ran to the door and opened it for Jared. At the moment her mom was at work.

Jared came in and hugged Evan.

"Hey! How are ya!"
Jared said, excited to see his significant other.

"G-good"
Evan nervously said back. She was always paranoid when Jared came over. In fear that he would find out.

Jared noticed the eyeliner that Evan forgot to take off.
"Nice eyeliner"
Jared complimented with a smile.

Evan looked mortified.
"Oh I-i was just... it j-just... it was a-an accident... um"
"Ev, it's completely fine if you want to wear eyeliner. I won't judge. And you have some major skills there too. The wing is flawless. Like you" he pecked Evan lightly

Evan blushed and nodded.

"Hey Evan,"

Evan looked at Jared
"Yeah"

"Why do you always seem so secretive when I come over? Are you not telling me something?"

Jared looked down and Evan went pale.
"I um uh... it's n-nothing"

"Evan, please tell me."
Jared had a thought and his eyes widened in horror.
"You're not... cheating on me, right? Please..."
His voice cracked at the end.

Evan grabbed his hands and looked him in the eyes

"I wouldn't even think about cheating on you. B-but,"
Evan looked away
"C-can I tell you something?"

Jared replied,
"Anything."

"Y-you won't hate me or leave me, right?"

"Even if you ended up being a furry I wouldn't leave you."

Evan giggled and led Jared to her box. She unlocked it and showed Jared.

"Are you transgender?"
Jared asked.

"N-no. I'm gender f-fluid."
Evan replied

"That's cool! And I'm glad you were able to tell me. Thank you."
Jared hugged Evan and kissed her forehead.

"N-no. I should be thanking you for not leaving me or thinking I'm a weirdo or something..."

Jared grabbed Evan's shoulders and looked up at her.
"I'll love you no matter what."

Weeks later, Evan came out to the school and many people supported them. But Evan didn't care about what the other people said about them, because they had Jared, and that was enough.
