Narrator’s POV

  The guild members were waiting for Natsu and Lucy to wake up.

Ten minutes before they would wake up. The two were still sleeping. The guild members were a bit excited for them to wake up, especially Master Makarov.

  Confused?

••FLASHBACK

  “Lucy, Natsu! We need the both of you!” Erza made her way towards the bored-looking mages.

  “What is it?” Natsu asked, slouching on a chair because he was too hungry to move.

  “We need to test our machine if it works and we need the both of you for the test.” Gray said, leaning on a wall.

  Fairy Tail joined a contest that needs the most amazing machine. Master Makarov was feeling giddy about it, thinking that there would now be a replacement for their destroyed guild as a prize.

  Natsu and Lucy looked at each other as Happy exclaimed “Aye!” behind Erza.

  “I... uh...” Lucy was at a lost for words. Natsu, who doesn’t know what the commotion his guild members were creating, immediately agreed. Now they were only waiting for Lucy.

  “Come on, Luce! Adventure again!” Natsu pumped his fist in the air.

  “Before I agree... what will we do anyways?” Lucy questioned.

  “You’ll just dream and sleep.”

  That’s all? Well I can agree, then. Lucy thought.

  “For three days, you’ll dream and sleep. Is that alright for you Lucy-san?” Wendy piped in as she held Carla.

  What!? Of course not. How will I sleep and eat? Lucy yelled in her mind. She bit her lip in reluctance but still nodded even though she didn’t know what will happen.

  “Ready?” Levy asked the two of them. The wire connecting the machine and the two of them glowed. Natsu and Lucy nodded and slowly drifted off to sleep.

  The guild members helped out in making the Dream Machine... well except for Natsu, Lucy and Happy because of the mission they were taking on. This might be the exchange, so they thought.

  And as an exchange too, they asked the two if they could be a material for the experiment. Happy was excused because he’s a cat.

  The two also had no idea what genre will they be dreaming about. It’ll be random—it could be horror, comedy, or romance.

  There in front of the whole guild was a big white screen that would show what the genre of their dream will be. The Fairies gasped as the screen showed a genre: Romance.

“Are you sure they’d be just fine?” Cana asked before taking a swig of her alcohol.

  “Sure.” Makarov grinned. He was confident that the machine would work.

Two days later, everyone was still up, watching Lucy and Natsu walk inside the party hall.

  “What the. The two were just bickering awhile ago. Now they’re hugging? Because of a dare?” Macao and Wakaba guffawed.

  The flow of time is different in their dream, just like in the Celestial Spirit World. Also, they had just finished the ‘dare’ part.

  Mirajane, on the other hand, was commenting things while watching like “How cute!”, “I ship NaLu!”, “I knew it! They’ll end up together!” and more.

  Levy stared at the screen in amazement, mumbling, “These people... hiding their feelings for each other in personal.” she grinned mishievously at the sight of the two embracing each other.

  Meanwhile, Erza was worried. Of what? Of what Natsu would do to Lucy. She thinks Natsu is harrassing Lucy, so she panicked right away.

  “Master, I need to get to that dream right away.”

  “No need to worry, Erza. It’s just a dream.” Carla reassured. Erza tried to calm her nerves a bit. Yeah, she calmed down but she swore to herself that Natsu would get a kick when he wakes up.

  20 more hours... and the two would wake up.

End of Flashback••

  “A little more... more...” Mirajane chanted. Here’s the reason as to why Mira is like that:

  Natsu and Lucy were about to kiss. Three more seconds and the dream would end.

  All were in slow motion. What happened? Why are they gonna kiss?

~Previously

  Lucy, Natsu and Lisanna were doing their group project.

  It was afternoon and it was very hot. They were fixing woods here and there. The three of them were sweaty already.

  “So hot. I’m gonna buy a bottle of water. You two, want some?” Lisanna queried happily.

  “Sure. Thanks.” Lucy shyly replied.

  “No need to be shy. We’re friends, right?” Lisanna says, being friendly and all. Lucy just nodded and smiled at her politely.
 
  The day went by pretty quick. Soon, it’s time for them to go home. They enjoyed the day... well except for Natsu. He was speechless all day.

  Then Sunday. Today is Sunday. Lo and behold, it was time for their parenting project in an orphanage.

  Natsu and Lucy met in the café near the school.

  “Dad told me to... uh... be nice and be a gentleman... so... hold my hand.” Natsu murmured, blushing.

  Lucy was not that cruel to him anymore. So he then held his hand and the two of them went to the orphanage.

  “Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia?” A maid inquired when they arrived. The two nodded and walked inside the wooden house.

  Their tour guide led them to the library soon enough, which was their last destination before they will ‘pretend’ to be parents.

  In the library, they had time to rest for a bit.

  A book got Lucy’s attention. She tried to grab it, but it was too high for her to reach.

  She tried harder, used her ‘tip-toe technique’ but lose her equilibrium.

  Lucy expected a wooden floor would catch her, but much to her surprise hands caught her.

  What surprised her even more was that those hands belonged to the one and only Natsu Dragneel.

  Most surprising? Distance was about to close between them any moment now.

  To the present~

  1.

  “Ngrh.”

  “Ghm... hm?”

  Natsu and Lucy just woke up. The guild members were silent for awhile then ran towards Natsu and Lucy.

  Erza readied herself and kicked Natsu with all her might. Natsu, who was groggily rubbing his eyes from his sleepiness grimaced at the pain Erza gave him. It was unexpected, actually.

  “Ow! Erza, what was that for!?” screamed the dragon slayer, giving Erza a death glare. She didn’t mind though, for she was now relieved that Natsu wasn’t ‘harassing’ Lucy anymore. Natsu got up from the floor.

  “Awesome! Never thought you’d have the guts to kiss Lucy!”

  On what Gray had said, the two froze. Lucy herself couldn’t believe it but remembered her dream. Natsu recalled his dream, too. And both reminded themselves that everything was just a dream. They were both materials for the experiment. But of course, the two could not help but blush all along.

  “It was all a dream! Wait a minute... how did all of you know that? You know, the kissing part?” Lucy protested, cheeks still burning from the last statement.

  “We can see what will happen on this screen.” Wendy jabbed a thumb to the white screen, blushing a bit. Good thing Carla covered Wendy’s eyes. Her innocence was still safe.

  “What did you feel when you and Lucy were kissing?” Erza asked, eating her strawberry cake, again. She must admit, she got pretty excited about ‘the scene’ back then.

  “Nothing special.” Natsu blushed at the thought. He remembered how cute Lucy was back there.

  “Are you sure about that?” Jet pushed him closer to Lucy.

  Of course, as an reaction, Lucy’s face was ten times redder than Erza’s hair.

  “Well, how about you, Lu-chan?” Levy smirked at Lucy who was speechless at the moment.

  “Same...”

  “We don’t believe you two.”

  “Then why’d you ask if you won’t believe us?” Lucy bit her lip in nervousness.

  Suddenly, Titania spoke.

  “Natsu, come here.” Erza pulled Natsu towards the back of the guild.

  “Don’t be shy. Lucy is pretty, you must admit it. But, really, how’d you feel when the ‘enchanted’ moment came? Say the truth if you don’t want to die yet.” Erza warned. Natsu being scared spoke up.

  “I of course felt embarrassed. I mean, who wouldn’t be? Especially when all of the guild members were watching. And um...” he trailed off, for what he was about to say was just... funny and hilarious. A fire dragon slayer who was a dense one, confessing something shyly?

  “What...?” Erza waited for Natsu to answer. There was only one answer she’s been waiting for.

  Back to Lucy, the guild members were pushing her roughly to admit what she really felt, dreaming about that kind of stuff.

  “Come on Lu, it’s not like we’re strangers or anything. We’re your guildmates!” Levy smiled.

  Lucy was speechless. She couldn’t speak of what she really feels towards Natsu now. Nobody knew that even in her dream, she already fell for Natsu. Now?

  “I... love him.” She finally uttered. The Fairies stopped talking.

  Erza and Natsu returned. Natsu was still blushing, eyebrows knitted.

  “Everyone! I have great news!” Erza announced. Makarov and the everyone else looked at her.

  “Natsu—” Natsu covered Erza’s mouth. “Ngrh. Mh.” Erza squirmed. She showed Natsu her fist whivlch was ready to land on him. Natsu shivered for he was scared and slowly pulled his hands away. He silently prayed that Erza wouldn’t dare tell it to everybody.

  “Natsu loves Lucy!” Erza exclaimed. She grinned triumphantly and looked at Lucy who had reddened cheeks for the longest time so far.

  “No Erza! I was just joking that time. Why’d you believe so easily? I just said so because you forced me to.”

  “Then why were you blushing and nervous when you told me so? Stuttering, rather. Until now. And you’ve become redder than before when I announced it to everyone.” Erza smirked.

  “NaLu couple arise!” Lisanna shouted and threw flowers everywhere. She picked the flowers up from the garden. She’s been preparing for this scenario.

  The Fairy Tail members cheered for Natsu and Lucy to kiss once again. The two forcefully obliged to what they said.

  “Woah woah, wait a minute. Before you two kiss, you two must be first in a relationship. We celestial spirits must protect our master. And you, Natsu Dragneel, don’t you ever betray our master. Or else you’ll feel the wrath of the Celestial Spirits.” Loki glared at the fire dragon slayer sharply.

  “W-Will you be... my...” Natsu panicked inside his head. This must be easy for him to do this, but how come it’s too hard for him now? Hard, because it’s his teammate of course... which probably might be his girlfriend soon.

  “Yes.” Lucy blurted out and hugged Natsu which startled him a bit. He just went with the flow and hugged Lucy back.

  “Now... you may kiss the bride!” Loki exclaimed.

  Happy, who was completely ignorant of the whole situation, headed for Carla. “You wanna be my girlfriend, Carla?” He inquired. He was giving her a bouquet of fish.

  “Shut up, tom cat.”

  And as expected, Natsu and Lucy lived happily-ever-after. Just kidding, there’s no such thing like that in the world of Fairy Tail.
