Y/N's POV
Waiting, staring at the walls that surround us. That's all we've got. We could talk, but it would be too painful. But the most painful thing to do is think of the past, before all this. What did we do to end up here?

Tessa set me up with Adam, she saw the way we looked at each other. She said it was the biggest mistake of her life, she hates him and he hates her but they tolerate each other for my sake.

-FLASHBACK- 6 YEARS PRIOR-
Being in Adam's arms is like staring at the nights sky during an eclipse- You never want to break your gaze from the moment, you know that the night is going to end sooner or later but you just want to stay in the moment forever . God I wish.
Horror movies don't bother me, we're watching the Original 'IT' and Adam wants to do the cliche 'boy protects girl from the scary horror film' but that won't work with me, not unless I fake it.

"Are you sure your parents won't be home until tomorrow? I don't want you to get in trouble because of me." I look up and meet with his deep brown eyes and smile;
"They're stuck up, they'd give any excuse to stay in a fancy pants hotel, don't worry."

"Y/N if your parents found out I was here, they'd disown you, throw you out just like they did with your sister. You can't risk all of this for me, they cut you off, you need money for univers-"
I cut him off with a kiss, I caught him off guard so he slowly melts into it before I break it.

"I'm not letting you go Adam Stanheight, I love you and I won't let anyone get between us, even if that means never seeing my family again,I don't care. You've made me the happiest I've ever been."

I feel a sudden warmth hit my skin as he pulls me closer to with no words.

A few moments pass and we stay like that until the tone that awakens me each morning disturbs us, my phone ringing and buzzing.
"Way to ruin the moment Tessa," I sigh as I reach for my phone.
"How'd you know it's Tessa?" Adam whispers as he traces shapes on my back, wanting me to come back to him.
"She's the only one who calls me," I smile back at him before picking up the call, "Hey Tessa what's-"

"Tell your son of a bitch of a boyfriend to get his dickhead best friend to stop harassing me!" Screaming. I think that's all she does.

"Um, hello again Miss Nathans. Nice hearing from you." I feel my eyes roll into the back of my head and Adam looks defeated, they hate even the mentions of each other.

She groans, "Hi....Tell him to fucking call him, it's freaking me out man! He knows where I live!Come on, I'd do the same thing for you!"

"....I don't have a stalker Tessa."

"Just do it! Thank you!"

"Tessa wai-" she fucking hung up on me.

"What was all that about babe?" I turn back and smile, "can you do me a favour? Call Scott and tell him to stop following Tessa around?"

He sighs, "we've tried this before, Scott doesn't listen to me and he most definitely won't listen to you so I wouldn't bother. Anyway, seeing Nathans suffer are the highlights of my day" he smirked, causing me to punch him playfully whilst keeping a smile on face as we both go back to the same position, still looking at the movie.

The movie didn't last very long, we kept ourselves entertained. I felt so safe in his embrace and when we kiss, it feels so right and meant to be. It's been nearly a year since we officially got together, I think this is the only thing Tessa has done that isn't psychotic or completely insane I'm happy that she brought us together, this could be something.

"I love you Y/N Young." I hear a mumble in my ear and I feel butterflies, he's said it hundreds of times but it doesn't stop me from feeling nervous or warm inside.
I lean up to kiss him but as I'm inches away from his lips, my phone starts to buzz.
"Just ignore it..." I feel warmness press against my lips, he beat me to it, he's not pulling back.
"Adam..." I push my hands against his chest, signalling him to stop but he doesn't.
"I...need....to....answer....her...." The buzzing finally stops. Great. That's when he pulls back.
"She needs a boyfriend, Scott's the only one who could be crazy enough to go after her, just leave them to it."
I smirk and pull him back into another kiss, he's probably right. Scott won't do anything that stupid...right?

DING DONG
"For fuck sake...." I gently slam my head down on Adam's chest (after I pull away from the kiss) before getting up from the couch towards the door.

"Don't....leave....meeeee....." I turn around and see a whining Adam with his arm extended towards me.

"Shhh...it could be a neighbour and if they hear you, they'll tell my parents and I'll never see you again." That made his smile drop but he shut up, instead he blew me a kiss, trying to hide his sadness.
I open the door and something rushes past me, along with another figure.
"The fuck?! Tessa man! And Scott?!"

"Y/N get me away from this fucking pervert! And how dare you ignore my call!"

"Pervert? Oh come on Tessie you know you want me-" Scott has a smirk on his face before getting interrupted.

"Tessa! My name is Tessa! And no!" She shoots a glare towards Adam, "You didn't warn him off you twat!"

"Oh fuck off Nathans!He's the only one who wants ya!!!"

"Adam!" I shout, glaring at him.

"I should have never have set you and Y/N up, she deserves much better than you!!!"

"Well guess what, your foster parents deserved a better child than you!!!"
Oh no Adam Stanheight you didn't.

"SAY THAT AGAIN, YOU PHOTOGRAPHY FREAK!!!" She charges towards Adam, throwing him off the couch (onto the floor) and grabbing his throat, Adam protesting and grabbing into her hair, pulling onto it, making her scream.
"Stop it!!!" I plead, trying to pry Tessa off my (beautiful) boyfriend, "Scott help me dude!!"
It took effort, but we managed to get them off each other. Tessa's eyes were filled with tears as I pulled her into my chest, hugging her. I can't believe Adam said that to her, he doesn't know even the half of it. Adam's face was turning red (with Scott still restraining him)but he looked at me with tears forming in his eyes, with an apologetic look on his face.
The door was still open.

-FLASHBACK OVER-
"What are you thinking about?"

"The night you and Tessa attacked each other, the night the neighbours saw you and told my parents, the night I started my life with you. Both a happy and a sad memory."

"Yeah, I'm surprised we're still together after that night,"he smiled, extending his arm towards me, "but look where it made us end up" his arm lowered, but he was still looking at me with a twinkle in his eye.

God that night messed up our lives, if only I just listened to her.
