The day went by like any other, nothing new or different. Once we got home we went to the skate-park. "So... Whose this 'other person' you had in mind?" I asked Anna, who was getting ready to drop in. "Oh, nobody really. Just a friend." She responded, quick to drop in. I could tell she didn't like the question, but it doesn't hurt to ask. On the way back to the house, I asked Anna if she had played soccer before. "Soccer? I've never played but I've had friends who did." She replied. "Why do you ask?" "Oh, er I thought that we could do soccer together, since signups are due soon and all.." Anna smiled slightly. "Yeah, good plan."

We got Anna's Mom to sign forms that went home the other day. "Are you girls sure?" Anna's Mom asked. "Oh yeah we are!" We both reassured, putting the filled out forms in our folders.

"Have a good day girls, and don't forgot practice afterwards!" Anna's Mom reminded, driving off. Anna and I took our normal seats in the bleachers, waiting to be dismissed. "So, how are we going to deal with your saxophone and practice? Do we bring it out with us?" Anna asked. The thought struck me right then and there. I hadn't thought that far, what if we can't do this!? All because I'm a band kid! "Ah, I'm sure we'll come up with something!" I reassured, not as confident as I should've been... Yeah it was what? September? But it was really warm for almost autumn so I guess soccer works out fine! Being on a school team was definitely going to be different than your normal junior league. One mistake and the whole school could be against you, just because you missed a goal by a millimeter!

I was on my way to the band room. I decided to bring my instrument to the field and Anna would take the bags for us. Skylar ran up behind me, gripped my shoulders. "So, you gonna have fun on the field..?" She asked, a smirk plastered on her face. I didn't get what she meant at first, then the realization hit me. I pushed her to the side. "Oh, EWWWW SKYLAR WHAT THE HECK?!" I joked, quickly making my way to my band locker. Skylar and I said our goodbyes. "Don't get TO gucci out there kiddo!" She shouted. "Oh AS IF!" I shouted back, running to the field.

We did the usual meet teammates and all that stuff. Then we did this station sorta thing, trying everyone in a different position. I personally LOVED playing defense for two reasons. One, I'm on the down-low, not much running needed. Two, I kick the ball really hard, and far. So being in the back, I can kick the ball as far as I want without worrying it'll go out. "Alright, practice is over folks! See you guys tomorrow!" Coach announced, everyone going to their bags. "Might need balls for tomorrow, should we go shopping after this?" Anna asked, grabbing her bag and handing me mine. "Yeah, smart idea. Would help if we brought bags of soccer stuff maybe?" "Yeah."

Anna's Mom drove us to Dick's Sporting Goods to get soccer supplies. She let us roam around by ourselves as she around for things for herself. "Ugh Megan geez how big are your feet!?" Anna asked, packing up our 5th? I think. Pair of soccer cleats I'd tried on. Her's were easy to get a size for, but my shoes didn't have a size listed on them, so we were trying on their biggest sizes in cleats in the designs I liked. "Well I can't help that!" I exclaimed, grabbing the next size up from the employee. I tried them on, it fit on my right foot, but to big for my left foot. "Oh don't tell me we need ANOTHER size!" Anna said, watching me check if they fit. "No they fit, just my left foot has alot more room..." I said, feeling the extra space for the right cleat. Anna pushed my hand aside, feeling for herself. "Hmm, weird..." She said, taking her hand away and focusing on me. "Do we need a different size for each foot?" She asked, moving her hand to my right foot this time to feel the space there. "I have no idea, but I feel going a size smaller would fit my left foot fine, and wouldn't fit my right.." I replied.

Anna decided that I needed two different sizes for each foot. "Hey, sir do you by any chance have this pair about a size smaller for the left foot?" Anna asked the employee, holding up my foot with the shoe on it. "Ah, I don't think I have a left only but I could bring ya the size for both." The employee said, going around back before we could object. Once he came back, we tried the left cleate, which fit perfect. "Well, looks like we're buying both.." Anna said, taking the cleates off me and boxing them up. "Here, I'll pay an additional $40 for the extra pair." I said, stacking all three boxes (third box is Anna's) and picking them up. "Megan..." Anna whined giving me this look that said 'you don't have to do that..'

Once we got everything we needed for soccer, we met up wit Anna's Mom and checked out. Anna's Mom said she'd pay for both sizes for me, which was a relief because I didn't remember how much cash I had. We went out to Tickets for dinner, which was not to far. Tickets was Anna's favorite restaurant so I didn't mind. I never really liked a certain food. Driving back to Anna's place was more of a distance, about 20 minutes to get there.

Anna and I went straight to bed, we had no care if we had homework. We could always do it in the morning anyways. Anna and I did the usual, cuddled until we both fell asleep in each other's arms.
