Quick author's note before we start, now Y/n and Varian are like 15 ish, the actual series has finished at this time if that helps explain it.

Y/n was extremely excited, her parents wanted to move back to Old Corona! So for the past few days they've been packing all their stuff. Today was the day they were moving back, all of Y/n's stuff was already packed and ready to go, her parents were just finishing packing up.

"Mom! I'm going to meet you and dad at the dock, is that okay?!" Y/n shouted from down the stairs.

"Yes, that's fine sweetie! We'll see you soon then!" Her mom answered.

Y/n grabbed her bags and started her walk over to the docks, it was a fairly nice day out, although it was foggy and the sun had just come up. Since Y/n's parents weren't around at that moment she pulled some form of a treat out from her backpack.

"Here boy! Here boy!" She called. As if on cue, a wolf, who was missing one of his back legs, had an ear that was folded over, and had a couple of scars all over, wobbled over to Y/n. She giggled a little at the wolf who had done a silly wobble on its way over. She fed the wolf some treats and gave it some pets while waiting for her parents.

"Y'know, you've been my pet for a couple months now, I should probably give you a name." Y/n said, and as if the wolf understood, he barked.

"Hmm.. how about.. Clover!" Y/n suggested. Clover barked happily and did a little spin and Y/n laughed.

{Time Skip}

Her parents came to the docks and saw Y/n playing with Clover.

"Y/n, who's that?" Her mom asked.

"This is Clover, he's my dog, he's a stray so I decided to adopt him, can he come with us..?" Y/n said.

"Hmm.. I guess our house will do fine with a dog." Her dad answered.

"YAY! C'mon Clover!" Y/n said, extremely excited. Clover happily followed her onto the boat and off they were, back to Old Corona.

{Time Skip}

Y/n and her parents had arrived at their house, it was the same house they had before they left, although now it was expanded, the owners after them had expanded it so now there was a lot of room for Y/n, her parents, and Clover. Y/n went inside and decorated her room while her parents decorated the rest of the house.

"Mom, Dad! I'm going to head to Corona to get Clover a bed, food, a leash and some toys, and he probably also needs a walk so I'll get him out of the house too! Bye!" Y/n shouted to make sure her parents heard.

"Bye sweetie!" Her mom replied. Clover came running down the stairs after Y/n.

{Time Skip}

Y/n had all the things she needed for Clover and now they were headed to a park. Clover was all leashed up and ready to go.

Once Y/n and Clover were at the park, Y/n suddenly felt a bit more drowsy than usual. She thought nothing of it and continued on.

She passed several people in the park. I guess it's a nice day for a walk in Old Corona, she thought. At one point as she was walking and saw someone's black hair in the near distance, she thought that head of black hair looked familiar, until it hit her.

Varian.

No wonder that head of black hair looked so familiar, it's because it's Varian with his dorky goggles on his head! she thought.

Y/n took a deep breath and sang, "We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when," she waited for a response from the dorky figure ahead of her. The dorky figure stopped mid-tracks.

"Oh I know we'll meet again some sunny day," the figure sang.

"Keep smiling through," Y/n continued.

"Just like you always do!" The dorky figure finished. He turned around and practically sprinted towards Y/n.

"Y/n! Oh I can't believe it's you! Wait.. why are you here?" Varian questioned.

"My family moved back, Varian, and boy have I missed you!" Y/n replied.

"I missed you!" He said, before engulfing Y/n into a hug.

"Do you want to come back to my place? Like old times?" Y/n suggested.

"Sure!! Uh.. I mean.. yea that sounds great," Varian responded.

{Time Skip}

Clover was running up and down the stairs, he wasn't sure where to go, there were people both upstairs and downstairs. Varian and Y/n were downstairs in the kitchen chatting, and Y/n's parents were upstairs decorating, Clover finally decided to go upstairs to smell all the furniture.

Y/n laughed at her confused dog, and Varian watched as well, snickering along with Y/n.

"How long have you had him?" Varian asked.

"I dunno, a couple of months I think," Y/n replied.

"He's really smart and caring, you should train him." Varian suggested.

"That sounds like a good idea, Var." Y/n said, walking to their living room and sat down on the couch, Varian following behind her like a happy puppy.

"Y/n could you go up to your room please? We need to decorate down here, oh and take Clover upstairs with you!" Y/n's dad said.

"Sure thing dad!" Y/n replied, getting up and taking Varian's wrist and dragging him with her. Varian lightly blushed as he was dragged upstairs.

"Wait here Varian, I've got to get Clover." Y/n said.

"O-okay," Varian said and awkwardly sat on Y/n's bed awaiting her return. Clover ran into the room, Y/n racing after. Once she got in the room, she stood in the doorway catching her breath, as her legs began to shake.

"You alrigh-" Varian started, Y/n couldn't hold onto the door frame any longer and collapsed, Varian ran to her side and caught her. He gently laid her down on the floor. As Y/n panted on the floor her hair seemed to become fur. Wait.. Fur!? Varian thought. He watched in pure horror as his friend transformed into a human-like dog.

"Argh.. my head hurts.." Y/n said and rubbed her head, but she noticed fluffy ears on her head, and she looked down at her hands to see.. PAWS!?!

Varian stood there, speechless.

"W-w-WHAT?!" Varian managed to get out.

"Heh.. surprise.." Y/n said.

"Y-you're a dog..?" Varian asked.

"No, I turn into a human-like dog when I don't have a piece of this special chocolate." Y/n held up a chocolate bar that was her favorite color. (A/n: It's not drugs!!! It just has something in it that prevents her from turning to a human-like dog)

"Oh, does that run in your family..?" Varian questioned.

"No, I was born with this problem, I've been told that it's never happened to anyone else before, I also can control how much I turn, like I can just end up having ears and tail or I can be a full dog." Y/n answered.

"Huh.. interesting.." Varian said, Y/n gave him a hug.

"Don't worry, I'm fine," Y/n smiled, "Do you want to stay for a sleepover?"

"I don't see why not," Varian replied, "RUDDIGER!" A fuzzy raccoon head popped in through the window.

"Aw hey Ruddiger! Haven't seen you in a while, you've grown a lot!" Y/n said scratching the raccoon's head. Varian frantically wrote a small note on a scrap piece of paper in Y/n's room.

"Ruddiger, take this back to dad, it tells him that I'll be here for tonight." Varian stated. The raccoon nodded, took the note, saluted, and ran out the window. Varian and Y/n laughed at his little salute. Y/n started to feel a bit light headed.

"Var-" Y/n said and collapsed on her bed. Varian turned around and helped her onto her bed, he gently tucked her in. Once he tucked Y/n in he sat at the edge of her bed. He took notice of how beautiful her fur color was, it perfectly flowed on her body, he felt his face heat up, but he couldn't stop staring at her, no matter how hard he tried. I can't like her.. Can I..? She's my best friend.. Varian thought. Suddenly Y/n's eyes fluttered open, Varian quickly looked out the window. Y/n looked at Varian, and at how the sun from the window perfectly shined on his face, she felt her face heat up, maybe she likes him too. Then Varian looked at her and they stared at each other for a few minutes, it was as if they were in some kind of trance. The silence was weirdly comforting.

"I.. uh.. D-do you have an extra bedroom I can stay in for the night..?" Varian asked, breaking the silence.

"Uh.. y-yea" Y/n replied, getting up. Varian followed behind her.

"Wow, I can't believe this was your old house.. The owners that took it after you really expanded it." Varian stated.

"Yea, I almost can't believe it either.." Y/n responded, "Here's the room."

"Thanks," Varian said, looking at Y/n, they got into that trance from before.

"Y/N, VARIAN! DINNER!!" Y/n's dad shouted from downstairs, making them get out of their trance and walk down stairs.

"Thank you Mrs. L/n for dinner," Varian said.

"You're welcome Varian, you're always so polite," Y/n's mom said.

"I always try to be," Varian smiled.

"C'mon Var! I got the newest Flynn Rider books, they came out early where I moved so I brought them with me!" Y/n said, racing up the stairs.

"Cool!!" Varian followed happily.

Varian and Y/n had been reading lines of the Flynn Rider book that tired them out, to the point that they both fell asleep on Y/n's bed.

Y/n awoke first, she felt a pair of arms wrapped around her waist, she looked over her shoulder and realized that Varian was cuddling her in his sleep, as if she was a giant stuffed animal. She secretly liked this embrace and she stayed like that.

Varian woke up and realized he was cuddling Y/n, he smiled to himself and stayed like that, but his face heated up quickly. He also took notice of the fact that Y/n was now human once again.

Neither knew the other was awake, they just stayed like that for about 20 minutes.

"BREAKFAST!" Y/n's mom shouted. Y/n got up and walked downstairs, Varian followed, with some blush on each of their faces.

A/n: Soo.. what'd you think? Some nice fluff to end that, along with a small cliffhanger. Also I decided I'm just going to slowly work on the chapters rather than wait until I finish writing the whole thing, but I don't have a schedule for writing this so sadly not even I know when the next chapter will be coming. I haven't started writing the next chapter yet so that doesn't help figure out when the next chapter is coming.

I was super excited writing this chapter so I'm sorry if it seems fast, I was really just enjoying writing.
