We'll Bring You Home, Kookie.

"You can't just take him from us!" Jimin screamed at BigHit's CEO, Woohun.

"He's been our maknae for years! I agree with Jimin you can't just move him to a different group!" Jin cried. The members were in a conference room that Woohun had called a meeting in. He wanted to discuss with them that he'd made the decision to take Jungkook out of BTS and move him to be the maknae of a new group about to debut called Spice.

Jungkook had tried protesting but was so worked up at this point that he was just sitting at the table crying letting his hyungs fight for him. He felt like he was trapped in a nightmare he couldn't wake up from. He didn't want to leave BTS. He didn't want to leave his hyungs. He didn't want to be thrown in some random new group. He didn't want any of it. To make it worse, the dorm they lived in was contracted through their agency, meaning if Jungkook was being moved to a new group, he'd also need to move in with that group to that dorm instead. He especially didn't want that. He felt like a child being taken from his family without his consent and it was tearing him apart.

"I can take him, I will take him, and I did take him," Woohun told the others.

"No you can't!" Taehyung cried, "Even if you wanted to, he's still contracted with us!"

"About that," Woohun held up a piece of paper and ripped it in half, "Contract is over."

"No!" Jungkook shot up in his seat and screamed, "I don't want to go! You can't do this!"

Namjoon was sitting next to him rubbing his back to try and comfort him. "You can't just rip up his contract!" Namjoon yelled at Woohun.

"I already did," Woohun said. "He's moving to the new group and that is final! I don't care if you don't like it, it's what needs to happen for marketing purposes! I need this new group to be successful and I need Jungkook with them to do that. End of discussion! I already have staff members at your dorm moving your stuff into your new one."

"What?!" All the members screamed in unison.

"You can't take my stuff!" Jungkook cried.

" I didn't take it. It's simply being moved to your new home. In fact I have someone from management coming to escort you to your new dorm any minute now," Woohun informed them. Jungkook started uncontrollably sobbing.

"You can't do this!" Hobi cried, "He's our family! You can't just take him from us and move him to someone else! This isn't about music or anyone's image! This is our baby brother!"

Everyone was crying at this point. Woohun didn't care what anyone had to say. His mind was made up. Jungkook was switching groups and moving out. Two staff members came in and told Jungkook they were there to drive him to his new home. His hyungs held on to him and said no. Jungkook also told them no. "I'm not going."

The two staff members came over and pulled him out of his hyungs arms and started dragging him away. He tried fighting them and started screaming for his hyungs and they followed behind trying to pry him free from the staff, but it was no use. Woohun started threatening to completely fire Jungkook from the label if he wasn't going to cooperate. As much as he hated the situation, he didn't want to be fired from his job either so he started to cooperate. He got in the car with the staff as he sobbed. His hyungs were right at the car door, "We'll figure something out okay?" Yoongi said reassuringly. Jungkook just nodded and wiped his tears as the car drove off.

When Jungkook got to his new dorm, he was greeted by the people who would be his new bandmates. They were all physically quite larger than him, and he already knew he was the youngest because he was told he was going to be the maknae of a new group. There were three of them and they introduced themselves as Hun, Seok, and Wojin. Jungkook didn't want to be rude but he really wasn't in the mood to meet these new people so he stayed pretty quiet as they gave him a tour and showed him where his room was. He realized Woohun was being completely serious, people really had come and moved all of his stuff into this new space without anyone even knowing. Jungkook didn't understand how everything had happened so quickly. It made him feel sick. Not even an hour ago he was running around chasing his hyungs in their dance studio and now here he was without them, in a new home, in a new group.

He felt more alone than aloneness itself.

He realized this dorm was the complete opposite of the one he'd lived in with his hyungs. It was spotless. Everything was clean and in order. Nothing was out of place. In his dorm with his hyungs, basically everything was out of place and nothing was in order. Hobi would constantly complain and go around cleaning but everyone else would laugh and say the mess is what made it feel like home. Jungkook already missed the mess.

The three new members told Jungkook they'd give him some time to settle in as they left him alone in his own room. The first thing he did was call Taehyung.

"Maknae! Are you okay? Is everything okay over there? We're still trying to figure this out alright? We're going to make sure you come back so don't freak out too much. I promise..we'll bring you home, Kookie," Taehyung pouted into the phone.

"I just want to be home now," Jungkook cried. He felt tears start forming in his eyes, "I miss you guys."

"We miss you too. Just remember though that group still also practices at BigHit so we'll see you as soon as we can. Maybe we can come see you tonight?" Taehyung asked.

"Let me go ask one of them." Jungkook put the phone down and ran out of his room to ask the guys if his hyungs could come see him. They told him no.

"What? Why?" Jungkook frowned.

"You don't need to be seeing or talking to them anymore, you're not part of them now. And stop calling them your hyungs. We are your hyungs now. Is that understood?" Hun said sternly. Jungkook felt baffled. He crossed his arms.

"You can't tell me I can't see my own hyungs! They're my brothers!" Jungkook yelled at him. Hun walked over and hovered threateningly over Jungkook, "They're not your brothers anymore. We are. Like I just said, we are your hyungs now and you're going to show us respect. I said no, maknae."

Jungkook ran away in tears and told Taehyung what he was just told.

"Oh so Woohun placed you with assholes?" Taehyung asked concerned.

"I guess so," Jungkook shrugged. He suddenly wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. He just wanted to be alone to sulk for a bit.

"Okay bunny. Call us when you can. We all love you, don't forget that," Taehyung told him.

"I love hyungies too," Jungkook felt his bottom lip quiver as he hung up the phone. He walked over and cuddled up in his bed. He pulled the blankets over his face and let the tears come. He just wanted to go home. He knew this place would never be home, and he would never view these three new men as hyungs.

In the midst of his crying Wojin came in and ripped the blanket off him. "I don't know what you're being a big baby about, but end it because you need to come help cook dinner."

Jungkook didn't want to. He was starting to realize that these new members were a bit rude and seemed like jerks. He felt like he had no obligation to help them do anything, he barely even knew them. Jungkook stayed in bed and shook his head no.

"Excuse me?" Wojin said angrily. He raised his hand and slapped Jungkook hard across the face.

"Ahh!" the maknae cried out as he gripped his stinging cheek in his hand.

"I gave you directions, and you're to listen to them! Get up. Now," Wojin demanded. Jungkook stared at him in shock without moving until Wojin started screaming at him more and threatened to smack him again. He shot out of bed and made his way to the kitchen to help. He wondered if this is how it would be living here.

Am I just going to be ordered around all the time and hit if I don't listen?

Jungkook learned very quickly that that was exactly what it was going to be like. He was doing everything he could to help in the kitchen but any simple spill or misplaced item got him a small shove from one of the others or a harsh smack. He went to grab a sponge to clean up a small spill and Seok angrily grabbed his arm and squeezed it so hard that Jungkook cried out in pain. "That's not the right sponge," Seok told him before grabbing a different one and throwing it at his face. Then when he didn't catch it and it dropped on the floor, Hun walked over and hit him in the eye, "Get your eyesight fixed."

Jungkook wanted to cry more but held it in the best he could. He figured these guys wanted to see him cry and he didn't want to give them the satisfaction of that. Once dinner was ready they sat down to eat but Jungkook wasn't hungry. His stomach was in knots and he was feeling terribly depressed. He sat there with his head down at the table fiddling with his fingers.

"Your old members really didn't instill any manners in you, did they?" Hun asked.

Jungkook looked up and glared angrily at him, "My hyungies deserved my manners. You guys do not."

Without warning Seok leaned over and grabbed Jungkook's throat, "You've got a lot of nerve, kid. Get out of my damn kitchen." Seok gave Jungkook's throat a hard squeeze before shoving him backwards. Without a second to spare Jungkook got up and ran to his room. He slammed the door behind him and leaned against it, slowly letting his body sink to the floor. He cradled his knees to his face and cried. He felt empty. What kind of nightmare was he being forced to live through? He missed his hyungs beyond measure. Even before their own debut, the members of BTS never treated him the way these men were. They'd always been so unbelievably loving and kind towards him. Sure they had their fair share of fights considering they had been teenagers during their debut, but not once did anyone ever hit him or put their hands on him in order to hurt him. Even through their fighting his hyungs always reminded him that they loved and cared about him more than anything .

He started rubbing his now sore throat. He realized he wanted to get out. He wanted his hyungies. He searched around for his phone but couldn't find it. He got angry and stormed out of his room, "Who took it? Where is my phone?" Jungkook asked angrily.

"I took it. It's late, you don't need it this late," Hun informed him.

"You can't take my phone!" Jungkook protested.

Hun stood up from the kitchen table and started walking towards Jungkook. The maknae started taking nervous steps backwards. He really wasn't in the mood to be hurt again. Hun took his hand and pinned Jungkook up against the wall by his chest, "Don't forget your place here. This is our house, and you will live by our rules. If I want to take your damn phone, I'm taking it. I already know you just want to talk to those stupid Bangtan boys anyway, in which I already told you no. Now go to bed, we have practice early tomorrow." Hun let Jungkook out of his grip and Jungkook shuffled his feet back to his room. He curled up back under his covers and consoled himself by thinking of tomorrow. I get to see my hyungies tomorrow.

The next morning at the BigHit building the first thing Jungkook wanted to do was see his hyungs. He still wasn't given his phone back because the guys didn't "trust" him with it. He stepped out of the dance studio he was in and made his way to BTS's. He was confused when nobody was in it. Usually they'd all be at dance practice by now. He turned and then saw his hyungs all walking up the stairs together.

"Maknae!!!" Jimin cried once he saw him. All the members and Jungkook ran to eachother and embraced in a tight hug. Jin playfully scolded him for not answering his calls but the maknae informed them he had his phone taken. The very first thing they noticed was that Jungkook had bruises on his face.

"Bruises...why bruises...why are there bruises? Did you get hurt? What happened?" Yoongi asked anxiously. The members could all hear the concern in his voice.

"Hyungies...help me.." Jungkook whispered and looked around cautiously before turning back to them, "They're so mean. I want to come home! They hit me over everything I do and I..I.." Jungkook started getting choked up, "I don't know what to do I hate it there!" Jungkook was once again fighting back tears. He didn't know it was possible to feel so many emotions and cry so much in such a short time but he felt like his heart kept continuously breaking over and over. Taehyung pulled him into a tight hug again, "Oh no.....they're hurting you? No no no! They can't do that to you!" Taehyung turned to the others with fear in his eyes, "Hyungs they can't do that to him!"

"Come with us," Namjoon said as he took Jungkook's hand. They started walking towards Woohun's office. The members told Jungkook how they'd been speaking with managers and other staff members all morning trying to figure out how to get him back with them. Jin said it was a work in progress but that some of the managers said it might be time to get Woohun fired and bring in a new CEO who will put him back in his rightful home.

When they went into Woohun's office the members panicked telling him that the older guys in this new group were physically hurting Jungkook. Woohun said there was nothing he could do about that and that what happened at home wasn't his business.

"They work for you! Tell them they can't be hurting him!" Hobi cried to Woohun.

"Like I said, what happens at home is none of my business. I'm sure Jungkook had done something to deserve his punishments."

The members jaws dropped in disbelief. They realized Woohun didn't care about anyone but himself and his image. He couldn't care less about Jungkook or any of them. They were absolutely heartbroken. They left the office and continued to reassure their maknae that he'd be home in no time.

Jungkook told them he had to get back to practice before he got in trouble for being gone too long. They hugged goodbye and nobody wanted to let go, so the hug lasted a while. When Jungkook got back to practice it seemed like he could do nothing right. He was beside himself with how badly he was being treated. He'd been taken from his own band to help this groups image when they debut and they were treating him like absolute garbage. He felt as though they had no right.

If they really suck so badly without me then why do they have the audacity to be complete assholes?!

Jungkook hated their music and their choreography. It wasn't what he was used to and it wasn't his style at all. It made him even more miserable. He didn't care to hide it either. None of this was what he wanted and he wasn't afraid to act that way. They can be mad at me all they want, I don't care. I hate them.

Jungkook didn't have a chance to see his hyungs again before practice ended. He didn't get to say goodbye or goodnight to them. When he and the new members got back home, all three of them instantly started screaming at him about how he had been absolutely useless all day and nothing but lazy.

Jungkook was furious and decided to speak up, "You know, you all have a lot of nerve for a group that is so shitty our entire label had to put me here just to help you guys even remotely succeed! If it weren't for me you guys probably wouldn't even get to debut soon so who is really in charge here anyway?!"

Jungkook's eyes widened in horror when he saw Seok immediately rip his belt off and fold it and start running at him. Jungkook went to step backwards but tripped and fell to the ground instead. That's when the hits started coming. Over and over again. Endless pain all over his body. He started screaming and crying that he was sorry and begged them to stop but Seok wouldn't show any mercy. Jungkook was finally able to get to his feet and ran to lock himself in his room.

"And stay in there until you've learned your damn lesson!" Seok screamed through the door. Jungkook dropped to the floor sobbing. His body was in so much pain. He curled up in a ball near his bed. His body hurt too much to even get on it.

He started crying for his hyungs. "Hyungies.....help me...please....hyungs...." He covered his face with his hands and began screaming and hyperventilating. He wanted a hug. He wanted ice and heating pads for the black and purple bruises that were now painting the skin on his back and stomach and face.

He tried to escape in his mind to somewhere else. Anywhere that wasn't this terrible place. He went back to a time he had gotten in trouble with Yoongi. Even when angry, Yoongi hadn't raised his voice. Jungkook had accidentally broken Yoongi's laptop a few years ago and Yoongi was mad, but still so calm. He asked Jungkook to buy him a new one. Jungkook had cried over how guilty he felt for breaking his hyungs laptop and how he understood if his hyung hated him, but Yoongi had simply told him it was just a piece of metal and that he still very much loved the boy. Yoongi had ruffled his hair and then bought him lunch as if nothing even happened.

Jungkook wanted that back. He wanted that love back. He just wanted his hyungs back. He continued to go back in his head more of times he'd spent laughing and playing with his hyungs until without realizing it he had fallen asleep curled up on the floor.

At the BTS dorm, things felt off.

"I'm so worried about him, he doesn't have his phone and I'm so worried. What if they're hitting him right now? What if he's hurt? Something just feels off. I feel like something is wrong," Jimin told the rest of the members concerned. They all admitted that they were also worried and decided they wanted to go check on their maknae to at least make sure he was alright. Jin called a staff member and asked for the address. The members hopped in the car and sped there. They rang the doorbell and were greeted with Wojin.

"What the hell do you guys want?" Wojin asked annoyed.

"We just wanted to come see our maknae," Jin responded.

"He's not your maknae. He's mine. And he's busy." Wojin went to close the door but Hobi stuck his foot in the way. "Let us in," Hobi demanded.

"Excuse you but don't you have your own house?" Wojin asked aggressively.

"Yes but our maknae is in there," Yoongi pointed into the dorm. Wojin kept telling them no and it was making them all more worried. They realized something had to be wrong so catching Wojin off guard, they all shoved him out of the way.

"Where is he?!" Jin asked madly to Seok and Hun.

"Learning his lesson," Seok replied. The members split up until Taehyung found a locked door. He started knocking on it. "Hello? Jungkook? Are you in there?"

Jungkook stirred back awake. He thought he heard Taehyung calling him. He realized maybe he was actually missing his hyungs so much that he was going mentally insane and hearing their voices. As he became more coherent he realized Taehyung was actually at his door. He wanted to open it but his body was too hurt. He wanted to scream but his voice was gone from all the screaming earlier. He felt trapped, that is until the door slammed open, broken off its hinges. He then saw all of his members diving to the floor beside him.

"Hyungs?" he whispered with a hoarse voice.

"Oh no...my baby...what have they done to you?!" Jin cried. They could see blood on Jungkook. He was full of sweat and his skin was clammy. Jungkook didn't even realize he had been shivering from anxiety. They could see bruises poking out from under his shirt and when Namjoon lifted it more, they were completely mortified seeing their maknae covered in even more bruises.

"What the hell did you guys do?!" Jimin screamed.

"Discipline! Something you all clearly don't believe in!" Seok yelled at them. Jin stood up and pushed Seok to the floor, "Don't you ever hurt him again or I'll make sure it's the last thing you ever do! Do you understand me?!" Jin gestured to Seok, Hun, and Woojin, "The last damn thing!"

Jin could feel how red his face and ears were. He was absolutely beside himself that someone could hurt Jungkook. He wanted to scream and cry too but as the oldest he knew he had to keep it together for his dongsaengs sake. He turned to see Namjoon had picked Jungkook up in his arms and Jungkook was holding onto Namjoon for dear life crying into his neck.

"We're taking him home, move." Namjoon stepped forward but Hun and Wojin blocked him. Taehyung filled with more anger and couldn't stand it anymore. He walked over and aggressively slapped both of them across the face. The rest of the hyungs came over and shoved them out of the way. They members all ran to the car and sped home.

"We'll worry about his stuff later, but he's never stepping foot back in that dorm," Yoongi huffed. Jungkook was placed in the bed that used to be, and would forever be, his own. The others immediately started tending to him gathering ice, heating pads, bandaids, water, blankets, and more. Taehyung and Jimin both curled up with him in bed and held him, the three of them crying together. The hyungs were fuming with anger.

Jungkook lay there and although physically he was still in a lot of pain, he felt like he was in the middle of a dream come true. He was wrapped in his hyungs arms, at home, being cared for and loved.

"How did you know?" he whispered to nobody specific.

"Know what?" Taehyung asked.

"About me..."

"Call it hyungs intuition. It just felt like something was wrong," Jimin replied.

"Thank you," Jungkook whimpered lightly before shoving his face into Jimin's chest and closing his eyes.

"Does anything feel broken? Jungkook? Do you want to go to the hospital?" Jin asked. Jungkook shook his head no without saying anything. He didn't want to go anywhere ever again. He wanted to stay where he was forever if he could.

"What now?" Hobi asked. He was really fearing for Jungkook's safety. Namjoon said they should threaten to quit if they aren't going to be given Jungkook back and everyone else agreed to that. Yoongi and Jin helped hold ice packs to Jungkook's bruises and placed the heating pad under him. To everyone's surprise he fell straight asleep. He felt safe again.

"Poor thing must be so exhausted...." Yoongi pouted.

"Let's let him rest," Jin gestured for everyone to get out to let him sleep but Taehyung and Jimin refused to leave him and promised they'd let him rest and not wake him up. The hyungs left the room and realized how exhausted they all were too. They decided they'd figure out what to do in the morning as they headed to bed.

The next morning Namjoon got a call from BigHit that Woohun had been fired for numerous counts of misconduct and they'd be getting a new CEO. Namjoon informed the staff about everything they'd experienced the last two days and how the members of Spice had abused Jungkook, the staff said they'd relay that information to the new CEO.

Not even ten minutes later the staff called back to let Namjoon know that Spice was to be fired and they wouldn't be debuting. They also informed Namjoon that the CEO would like them all to come in so Jungkook could resign his contract as the maknae of BTS. Namjoon ran around the house screaming and waking everyone up excitedly. Jungkook groaned in pain but when he heard the news he cried tears of joy.

He sat up, although his body was really aching, and thanked all of his hyungs over and over for saving and helping him. Yoongi and Jin immediately got started on making a celebratory breakfast.

"Hyungs would you like some help?" Jungkook asked as he made his way to the kitchen.

"Maknae! No way! Why are you up?! No no no! You need to be resting!" Hobi cooed to him as he guided Jungkook to the couch and gestured for him to lay down. Jungkook smiled to himself seeing the love of his hyungs. He couldn't ask for anyone better in his life to care for him.

They all ate breakfast together and Namjoon asked Jungkook if he'd like to go to the company today to sign his new contract or wait until he was a bit more healed.

"Now! Right now!" Jungkook replied impatiently, "I want it signed as soon as possible. I also want my stuff back! They still have my phone!" Jungkook complained. They all agreed to go to the building together and headed to the new CEO's office. To their surprise it was actually someone they knew very well, it was one of their previous managers who they had a great relationship with. This made them understand why he'd acted so quickly.

"Bangtan!" The CEO said happily. He immediately took out the paper and handed it to Jungkook. He read it a million times, and his hyungs read it over a million times to make sure there were no hidden agendas in it. Everything looked well. The contract would put Jungkook right back as BTS's beloved maknae.

"I also already have someone going to the dorm to collect all your things and move it back for you," the CEO told him.

"Thank you so much!" Jungkook cheered. The members all held their breath as Jungkook signed his contract and everyone cheered and hugged Jungkook tightly once it was complete.

Jungkook cried tears of joy.

Finally, his nightmare was over.

[The End]
