Hello friends and welcome to my blogging and updates book! Given the title, you are probably thinking to yourself, 'what on earth is going on in this book?' And that is a perfectly reasonable question. So let me answer some of it for you now.

Why is this book called 'We Keep Snacks in This House?'

The same reason its book cover is pastels, really: Because I really like it. When I first came up with the idea to have a blogging and updates book, I wanted to come up with something that really encapsulated who I am as a person and also caught your attention (and if you're here, then I guess at least the second part worked)!

If you know me you probably know my personality tends to be rainbows and cotton candy, and I'm very rarely found sprinting or editing without a snack in my hand (today's selection is a leftover Danish Butter Cookie from Christmas... or five).

So who am I as a person? Well, let's just say, we keep snacks in this house.

What is going on in this book, Eliza? You can't possibly be sending us snacks through the internet.

The only reason I'm not doing that is because I've yet to figure out how. If anyone has a snack transporter lying around, please let me know. But in the meantime, no. I'm not sending anyone snacks through the internet, unfortunately.

What I am doing is keeping you all updated on the goings on at Casa Solares. What that means is that this book is going to be the place for all of my information that is too long to be reasonable in an announcement. And for all those things I'd rather go a little more in depth or interactive. Think of this as a little hang out spot for me and all of you.

You can expect to see updates on my goals (what they are, how they are going, etc.), new works that Im working on or posting, cool things I learned, or other things I might want to share as they come up. It is my goal to post in this book at least once a month, but it might be more or less frequent depending on my circumstances. When I'm trying to write way too many words in Camp NaNo or wondering why I wrote so many ONC books again, I'm likely to post slightly less often, for example. Feel free to nudge me if it's been a month of radio silence!

Okay, that's great. But do you have anything to tell us now?

As a matter of fact I do! In the next chapter, I'm going to let you know how this past year went for me and give you some insight into the kinds of goals I had last year and then look forward to the coming year with my plans and dreams. It's kind of a New Year's Chapter of reflecting on the year past and looking forward to the year to come. All you have to do to read that delightful post is click through to the next chapter.
