Well, as you may have noticed... I missed an update in this book! And I had to pause updates on everything else too because life... well it happened I suppose. I got busier than usual and after writing four whole novellas and one part novel over the course of ONC, I was tired and behind, so naturally that's when life decided I wouldn't have time to write. Isn't that always the way?

BUT! I'm writing this now, because I'm back into a routine and am writing again just as I like to be. And I have several important pieces of news! So let's jump into that and leave my almost-clean-again kitchen behind us, shall we?

~ * ~ Bootcamp Mentors ~ * ~

You might remember one of the things that's been keeping me busy. I've been working with the wonderful Amy ( ItsTheQuietGirls ) on her novel "Baby it's COVID Outside" and having LOADS of fun. The original is currently up on her page, but honestly, wait for her re-write. It'll blow you away. So fun!

If you haven't had a chance to read Amy's stuff, head over there. She's got a lot of fun writing (albeit a little spicier than mine at times) filled with fun characters and classic humour and drama and all that fun stuff.

This is part of why I've been busy! Amy sped through rewrites on a whole novel in like three weeks so I've been reading so many fun chapters and I'm STILL slower than she is. It's been a lot of fun and I can't wait for everyone to see her finished story.

~ * ~ 30 Days to Save the World Anthology ~ * ~

I don't think I've mentioned this yet and I CANNOT believe that! I've been working with WritersConnX to create a multi-genre anthology of what happens to humanity when faced with a threat. Like a gigantic spaceship slash alien invasion kind of threat.

When a 1000 mile wide ship appears over the eastern half of Canada and the United States of America, the whole world notices. When big blue numbers appear in the sky beneath the craft, the countdown is on. Thirty days. But thirty days to what?

Thirty days to save the world.

Each story is a snippet of someone's life as they're faced with the threat of the impending countdown, and my girl has some interesting perspective on what it means to go on an adventure. You can find the book already on WritersConnX Wattpad page or in my "currently updating" reading list. Even though it isn't quite ongoing yet, as it will start posting at the VERY end of July.

Anyway, that's another thing I've been working on, taking writing time and energy. But I'm so proud of it and I can't wait for everyone to read it. It's one of my favourite short pieces I've ever written.

~ * ~ Self Publishing ~ * ~

Well, here it is. I'm finally admitting it out loud. Due to a variety of factors including finally feeling ready and having the time, I'm working on my very first book to publish. It will NOT be posted to Wattpad for some complicated and unexciting reasons, BUT I am currently looking for readers, so if you've read my stuff before and enjoyed it, I'd love to have you read this one. Just send me a message and I'll set you up with a super secret beta reader copy so you can read as I write just like you would here.

I expect this book, which is a childhood friends to lovers small town hockey romance, to be publishing early next year and there are A LOT of moving parts in publishing a book, so it's taking a bit of time to figure everything out but I'm having a blast and keeping myself sane with the thought of holding my very own book in my own two hands!

~ * ~ Wattpad Stuff ~ * ~

If you're seeing this chapter, it means I have finally edited the next chapter of Roatan Plunge and we are back in business with publishing chapters. It should be up within 24 hours of this update! I know. Exciting! 

Unfortunately, as you may have guessed from the header just up there, I have less time than I used to since I've had to pivot some of my time and energy toward that self-published book and away from Wattpad.

Fear not! I will NOT be leaving Wattpad and the stories that are posted here will continue to post regularly until they are done! But I am going to have to go slower. It's just the nature of having limited time and, well, three children to chase around.

So, for now, I can promise Roatan Plunge. And as many chapters of everything else as I can reasonably write and edit with everything else going on. I wish I could say I'll have weekly updates for everything again, but we just aren't quite there yet.

I figured you all would prefer occasional updates as I can rather than waiting until I have enough buffer to confidently say I'll have a chapter a week. Obviously my goal is to get back there, so we'll see how long that takes.

That's all I have for now, friends. Life is busy and chaotic but I love Lor and Oscar too much to leave them behind. So we're back into their story with at least every two week updates working our way up to weekly until it's done.

I love you all. Thanks for your patience and love for my stories. You are all my very favourite part of Wattpad and I'm grateful every day that you chose to read my stories.
