I haven't spoken to Aaron for three days, he's probably angry with me and he has every right to be. I was rude and harsh and on top of that I was lying.

I kept waiting for him to call but he never did. Alex got suspicious about me always checking my phone every second so whenever he's going out, he'll lock the gate and takes the keys with him.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I'm feeling very sad the same way I feel every year.

I'm feeling sad because Nathan will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow, alone with no annoying twin sister by his side.

I wonder how he's doing. I wonder how everyone is doing. My mum, my dad, my annoying step sister and even more annoying step brother.

I remember when I was little, I used to wish I wasn't a twin just so I could celebrate every birthday alone but after sharing my better with someone for so many years not doing it now is just weird.

My birthday doesn't feel like my birthday.

I used to back of my hand to wipe the tears that are freely falling. I cry a lot these days.

Alex barges into the room and I give him a very cold stare which he completely ignores.

"I'm travelling" he says sitting down on the couch in the room.

"Tomorrow is my birthday" I say.

"I know but I have to go. It's extremely important" he says.

I don't whether I'm sad or I'm angry because my feeling are in a mix right now. First you lock me up in this house and won't allow me to leave and now the only day that you actually treat me like a human being you're going on a trip.

"It's fine since you're not home can I go out and have some fun?" I ask with begging eyes.

"No. We'll go out when I get back" he says in a dismissive voice.

I don't say anything, I just stare blankly at him.

"Everything you'll need is in the house so you have no reason to leave the house" he says getting up.

I don't say anything so he just leaves.

Good for nothing idiot. I walk up and stare out of the window. I watch him drive out of the compound and as soon as he's gone, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

My phone rings and I quickly rush to it, sadly its Bimbo calling not Aaron.

I pick it up and put the phone to my ear.

"Hello" I say.

"Hey b, what's up?" she asks sounding excited.

"Nothing much, what's up with you?" I ask.

"Temi is coming over and we're going out tomorrow" she says literally screaming.

"Who is we?" I ask.

"Me, you and Temi na" she says.

"Oh, nice. What time?" I ask.

"Let's meet at Aaron's house by five pm, is that convenient for you" she asks.

"That's fine with me" I say.

"Good. Come with changing clothes too. Club type of clothes" she says.

"Abimbola, are we going to the club, we're not teenagers" I say with a funny expression on my face.

"Abeg forget that thing, it's just one night" she says then she hangs up.

Crazy human being.

I drop my phone on the bed and head outside.

"Yibril" I say in a loud voice.

Yibril is the gate man. The person in charge of making sure I don't leave the house.

"Ma" he says as he approaches me.

"Where is the gate key?" I ask.

"Ah madam, Oga carry am as he dey go" he says.

(The boss took it with him)

"Don't tell me that, I know that key is with you" I say.

"I swear the key no dey with me" he says.

(I swear the key isn't with me)

"How much do you want?" I ask.

"I go take three thousand ma" he says.

"Three kini, did I tell you I have that much money with me. Take two thousand" I say.

"Oya, that one go do" he says.

(Alright, that'll do)

"I'll give you the cash when I get back from where I'm going tomorrow and remember if Oga ask you when he comes back, I was in the house all through" I say with at threatening voice the I leave.

Aaron's P.O.V

"I just called her, she said she's on her way" Bimbo says barely containing her excitement.

Bimbo is really excited about the whole thing because she's like the master mind behind it. It was my idea but she planned most of it.

"So like how are we going to go about it?" Temi asks.

"The house keeper will open the door for her then lead her to the downstairs parlour and when she comes in we'll shout happy birthday" Bimbo says.

"I can't wait to see her. Everything feels so surreal" Tyrone says.

I forgot he even came sef. He landed yesterday morning and he has been in my house eating like one glutton.

I'm somewhat nervous to see Naomi. We haven't spoken since our little quarrel and I don't know if she's still angry with me.

The doorbell rings which can only mean one thing.

"Naomi is here" Ayo says getting up.

We all leave the guest room where we were gisting and head to the downstairs parlour.

We open the door and I stare at my transformed parlour in awe. A/N: Party setup in media.

"You guys did a really good job" Ayo says looking around.

The decoration was done by Temi and Bimbo. They did it all by themselves. It's simple and somewhat plain bu that's exactly how Naomi likes her things

"I hear footsteps turn of the lights" Bimbo says to Tyrone who is standing close to the lights.

We're waiting in this darkness for what seems like forever when I hear the door open.

"Hello" Naomi says.

That's our cue.

"Happy Birthday Naomi"!! We scream as soon as Tyrone turns on the light.

She looks dumbfounded. She's utterly speechless and from the look on her face she definitely wasn't expecting this.

Bimbo connects her phone to my speakers via Bluetooth and Happy Birthday by Dj Bobo blasts out from the speakers.

"Oh my God, Thank you so much guys" Naomi says literally glowing.

"Happy birthday girl" Temi say walking towards her then she wraps her in a hug.

As soon as she pulls away Bimbo goes over and puts the birthday girl slash over her.

"Happy Birthday"!! Bimbo screams.

"Happy birthday" Tyrone says walking to her.

"Oh my God, I didn't even see you. It's really you" she says giving him a bear hug and he hugs her back.

I leave the room quietly and head back to my room.

I'm looking out the window when someone knocks on my door.

"Come in"

My door opens and Naomi walks in. I was low key praying that she'll be the one to open the door.

"If you're going to ignore me don't do it on my birthday" she says.

I give her a glance over and go back to staring outside as if there's something fascinating there.

She walks over to where I'm standing and stays beside me without saying anything.

I turn to look at her and she looks beautiful. Like she does every day.

"I'm sorry" she says quietly.

Just like that every anger I felt inside of me evaporated.

"Its fine" I say wrapping her in a warm embrace and she hugs me back and we stay like that for some minutes.

"We should go and join the others" she says pulling away.

"Yeah, Happy Birthday Naomi" I say with a smile.

"Thank you" she says smiling back.

I couldn't just help myself, I leaned and planted a soft kiss on her lips. She pulls away first.

"You're looking beautiful today" I say.

"Don't I always?" she asks then she walks off.

"You're meant to say thank you"! I shout after her.

I stay up in my room for a while before going back downstairs.

When I get to the parlour, they are all dancing without a care in the world.

"Join the party" Bimbo says to me popping a bottle of champagne.

"Today is going to be one crazy day"
