Aron's P.O.V

I'm in the library completing my further maths assignment. I slept off while watching a movies last night so I wasn't able to do it.

School was so boring for me yesterday without Naomi. Everything just felt off you know, it felt as is something was missing.

I wonder why she isnt in school yet, It's already seven thirty. Maybe, I should go outside and call her.

I'm trying to make a decision when I hear my name.

"Aaron"

I look up to see Diane standing in front of me and I immediately feel anger. If I didn't search Naomi's purse that day I will never have found out that Diane lied to me that day.

"What?" I ask in annoyance.

"I just wanted to talk na, what's with the tone?" she asks sitting beside me.

You want to talk, which day did that one start?

"I don't entertain liars" I say shifting my chair away from her.

"I'm not a liar" she says and I sense slight annoyance in her voice.

"Diane, I want to ask you something" I say.

"Go on" she says looking at me oddly.

"Who is Alex to Naomi?" I ask.

She lets out a sigh.

"I know it's hard to believe but he's her boyfriend" she says.

I shake my head at her and pack my things.

"Are you leaving?" she asks.

"Yes and for your information, Alex isnt Naomi's boyfriend" I say in disgust.

"Then who is he?" she asks eyeing me.

She has the nerve to eye me. Wow.

"He is a rapist" I say in a low voice.

She gasps and her eyes widen with shock.

"But he said he's her.."

I don't allow her to finish.

"He can't be her boyfriend because she already has one" I say.

"Who?" she asks with creased eyebrows.

"Me" I say then I walk out.

Idiotic human being that I will tell Bimbo too come and finish with insult. Rubbish.

I'm going back to class when I see Naomi coming up the stairs so I go and block her way.

"Excuse me" she says in a harsh tone.

I smile to myself she hasn't looked up yet.

"That isn't very polite of you" I say.

She looks at me with a smile on her face.

"I didn't know it was you" she says smiling.

"You're late for school and as you're senior prefect, I can punish you for that" I say smirking.

"But as the love of my life you'll let it pass" she says.

"I'll let it pass this one-time" I say.

"Thanks" she says then she pushes me out of the way and goes to class.

This girl ehn, see the way she pushed me. What if something else happened to me?

I walk to class and see her siting at her table all alone. Which is strange.

We have a free period now and the whole class is empty not that I'm surprised.

I go over sit with her.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Nothing, I just don't feel like talking to anyone" she says.

"But you're talking to me" I say smirking.

"I'll slap you oo, did I call you here?" she asks eyeing me.

"You are too aggressive" I say shaking my head at her.

"Did you tell the others about you know?" she asks.

"Ayo did. He said you gave him a go ahead" I say.

She just nods.

"I bought shawarma for you" I say getting my bag.

I turn to see her eyes full of happiness. I smile at that. I stopped to buy it before coming to school because I know how much she loves shawarma and when we spoke on the phone last night she couldn't stop talking about it.

Girls and food.

I give it to her and she mumbles a thank you before collecting it.

"Can we hang out at your place after school today?" I ask her.

She swallows before answering me.

"Sure" she says.

We sit there in silence but a comfortable one.

"Do you want some?" She asks breaking the silence.

"Nah" I say.

I wanted some badly I was just being polite.

"Bite" she says raising the shawarma.

"Don't worry" I say.

"Guy just bite. You see babe dat cares for you. You are na forming"

I know that voice. It's that idiot also known as Ayo.

I turn and see him walking the rest of the gang are also walking in and greetings flow round.

"Bite oo, I'll finish it" Naomi says.

I take a big bite and she gives me a death glare.

"Since his taken most of it let me just finish it" Ayo says taking it from her.

Naomi stares at him in pure anger as he gobbles it up.

The bell rings to signify the end of first period.

"What do we have now?" I ask.

"You and Naomi have further maths the rest of us are free" Bimbo says.

"Let's go before that mad man comes" Temi says getting up.

"Which mad man?" Tyrone asks.

"Further maths teacher na" Ayo says.

They all insult the man as they go out.

"I have something to tell you" Naomi says.

I turn to face her.

"What?" I ask feeling concerned.

"Alex left a note in my drawer, he said I haven't seen the last of him" she says fear evident in her voice.

I clench my fists that bastard that's meant to be in jail.

"It's okay. Don't be scared, he can't do anything" I say in a reassuring tone.

She nods and rests her head on my shoulder.

"Our teacher isn't coming he said he'll use only the lesson period" I say.

"Oh that's nice, why didn't you tell the others?" she asks raising her head to look at me.

"I wanted to spend time with you. Just the two of us" I say which earns a smile from her.

Naomi's P.O.V

"You guys should just make it official" Ayo says to Aaron.

"We don't want to rush things" Aaron says.

"Better do it guy, girls are very unpredictable. Their feelings change like this" he says snapping his fingers to show how fast.

It's a nice Thursday evening and all my friends are here in my house and we are in my room watching TV.

I was supposed to spend this evening with Aaron alone but Ayo heard us talking about it during break and told the rest of the gang and it turned out to a hangout for all of us.

Aaron was pissed.

"Naomi, sorry about what happened to you" Bimbo says.

"Its fine" I say with a smile.

"I didn't say anything in school because I didn't want to talk about it there" She says.

"It's fine. He's out of my life and I'm starting therapy after exam so I'll be fine" I say.

She just smiles in return.

I get words of sympathy from all my friends and I feel much better.

"You look like a dunce" Anita says handing me a picture.

I stare at it and a huge grin appears on my face. It's a picture of me and my friends at my old school.

Ayo snatches it from me and bursts out laughing. Idiot!

"Why did you change schools anyway?" Tyrone asks looking up from his phone to face me.

Phone addict that guy could stare at his phone all day.

I let out a loud sigh, Am I ready to tell them why I changed schools.

After some second of contemplating, I decide to speak up.

"I got expelled from Caleb Internationals in SS1 because I aided a murder" I say in a quiet voice.

They are all staring at me in shock, It's very hard to believe that someone like would do such a thing.

"You didn't really do that, did you?" Aaron asks staring at me intently.

"Nope. You see that day we were in the class. Ameenah, Rebecca, Toni, Chris who was my boyfriend and me. I was doing my homework. They were all gathered at Hannah's desk unknowingly to me they were scheming n how to poison her" I say feeling tears as I try to recall what happened.

Ayo notices this and speaks up.

"You don't have to talk if you don't want to" he says with sympathetic eyes.

"It's fine" I say.

After some seconds of silence, I speak up.

"They poisoned it. We later found out they put sniper in her water. She drank it and she died" I say and my voice cracked at the last part and tears starts falling.

Aaron rushes to my side immediately and cleans my tears.

"Hannah was my best friend so I felt very guilty. When the whole thing gut to the principal, it was my boyfriend that even mentioned my name saying that I was there and I didn't stop them. I tried to explain myself but to no avail, I got expelled for being an accomplice to murder" I say shaking my head in regret.

"That's so sad" Bimbo says giving me a pitiful look.

"It is. My brother got suspended for something so my mum just changed both our schools to Lethbridge in SS2. Things were oing great until I started being bullied" I say frowning at the memory.

"Who can bully you? A whole Naomi" Temi says with amusement evident in her voice.

"I confided in a friend that I got expelled and she told one other girl like that and that one told dome people and it just started spreading. After some cases of bullying..." I trailed off.

Are you ready to tell them that last bit? A little voice in my head asks.

I think so.

"I started doing drugs but I wasn't addicted. I'm sure of that one as long as no one bullied me I wouldn't take them. I got a boyfriend and he dad was a business rival to my mum but I didn't care and I confided in him and told him that I used drugs some times and he said didn't care. Long story short he used me so he's dad can dupe my mum and he immediately broke up with me then he reported to authorities that I was a drug user. So I got expelled along with others and my brother beat him to state of unconsciousness and also got expelled" I say with tears welling up in my eyes.

"You are a very strong girl. After all that you still smile and keep living your best life" she says smiling at me.

"We moved to Lagos and the rest is history" I say.

It feels so good to finally get that off my chest.

"Hope you're seeing someone about the drug usage?" Anita asks.

I nod affirmative.

My mum got me a therapist but my sessions will start after exam.

"Time don dey go oo" Anita says looking at the clock.

I check the time and it's after seven already.

"You guys should start going" I say.

"She's indirectly saying we should get out so let's go" Ayo says getting up.

They all leave in less than ten minutes.

I look around my room and it's so dirty.

Annoying humans, after trashing my room they got up and left like nothing even happened.

After cleaning up my room. I crash on the bed and close my eyes.

Thank God tomorrow is Friday, school will be shorter than usual and I can come home and sleep.

She's had a tough life but she's happy. For now.
