Aaron's P.O.V

I'm sitting at my desk doing my further maths assignment.

School was extremely stressful today and I really want to sleep but I have to do my homework and read.

Naomi completely ignored me all through the day when we first stopped talking I'd catch her looking at me or she'd wave or smile if we locked eyes but I completely ignored all those actions.

Today she didn't look at me not even once. I wanted to invite her for my party but seeing the way she was acting she would have told me a big no.

I'm sure Bimbo will invite her or Ayo so I'm not worried about that.

I'm solving in my jotter seriously when my door flies open.

I look over my shoulder to see Ayo. I groan inwardly.

Don't get me wrong, I love having him around but I'm busy and he knows I have a lot of assignments while he has none so he came to distract me.

"Guy, you still dey do assignment since?" he asks crashing on my bed.

"See no ask me daft question" I says giving him a glare.

"Why are you na vexing, no be question I ask" he says grinning.

That's one thing I like about Ayo, you can't kill his vibe. No matter what you say or do he won't vex.

He'll just keep laughing and smiling then when his ready my guy will fuck you up.

"Why are you here?" I ask turning to face him

"What kind of question is that?, I just came to get information" he says.

"Like what?" I ask with raised eyebrows.

"Like, what happened the day you went to Naomi's house" he says.

I haven't even told him. When he called and asked about it I said I'll tell him when he gets back.

I frown at the memory of what happened that day. Even if I try to talk to Naomi, I doubt she'll answer especially after her brother accused me of killing someone.

I didn't kill Racheal of course I hated the fact that she chose Naomi's brother over me but I still liked her and for that singular reason I would never have harmed her.

Racheal was a very beautiful young girl. She was kind, gentle, smart, religious and just a very good person. She had her flaws but I never really cared about those.

After the incident, I thought I'll never be able to like anyone again so I locked up my heart but when I saw Naomi something changed.

I felt attracted to her the minute I saw her but I decide that I will not develop any feelings for her whatsoever so another incident wouldn't repeat itself but as days passed by I realised I couldn't be just a friend to her, I wanted something more.

Now everything is just messed up and falling apart she thinks I'm a murderer and I think she's a liar and we're just drifting father away each day.

"If you're not going to talk, tell me make I dey go" Ayo say sounding impatient.

"Is it me that called you here?" I ask.

He shoots me a glare and I grin widely.

"So when I got there she opened the door and she was very surprised to see me, after I entered we got off on the wrong foot" I say.

"Expand on that" Ayo says with a raised eyebrow.

"I sort of called her a liar and said her brother is the reason we can't be together" I say.

"What the fuck? You had one job to talk to her. Finish" he says with annoyance in his voice.

"I'm not done, her brother came and we had an argument and I said he stole Racheal then he said I killed her" I say.

"How could he accuse of killing her?" he asks with creased eyebrows.

"I don't know" I say with a sigh of frustration.

"Something isnt right, you need to tell him what really happened if not you and Naomi can't get together "he says.

I ponder on that for a while. After some silence I speak up.

"At this point I don't care" I say with a sigh.

"That's impossible, you still care but you don't have courage to fight for her anymore" he says.

"You can't fight for something that doesn't exist" I say closing my eyes to prevent tears that are threatening to fall.

"You're being a coward right now" he says.

"I know. It's just Naomi and I..." I trail off not knowing what to say.

"Are made for each other" he says in a matter of fact voice.

I smile at his statement.

"I wish that was true" I say then I go back to my work.

Naomi's P.O.V

I wake up to the sound of my alarm at exactly 4:30pm. Today is Sunday and today is also Aaron's birthday party.

I have no idea why he'll throw a party on Sunday but everyone is going and I'm definitely not missing this party.

I get up and head over to the bathroom. I brush my teeth then I take a very short shower.

I go back to my room and towel dry my body. I sit in front of my vanity and start to apply my makeup.

When I'm done I get my dress and put it on. I also pack an overnight bag, after the party I'm going to Bimbo's house for a sleepover with the girls then we'll go to school from there.

I put on my outfit and work some magic with my hair. I smile at me reflection at least I look normal. (outfit in the media)

I walk down the hall to my mum's room I knock on her door and wait for a response.

"Come in"

"Good evening" I say closing the door behind me.

"Where are you off to?" my mum asks eyeing my outfit.

"A friend's party and from there I'm going to a sleepover" I say.

"With whose permission?" she asks.

"Let me rephrase. Can I go for my friend's part and then a sleepover?" I ask her.

"You can, just be safe" she says sternly.

"Thank you. You're the best" I say wrapping her in a big hug.

"Do you want Alex to drop you off?" she asks after she pulls away.

"No someone is already picking me" I say quickly.

"Aright you can go" she say going back to her work.

"Thank you" I say then I leave.

I go back to my room and get my overnight bag then I head outside.

I call Ayo and he picks up on second ring.

"I'm on my way" he says.

"Be fast oo, I'm tired of waiting" I say.

"You lack patience" he says then he hangs up.

Some minutes later he sends me a text that he's waiting outside the gate.

I go outside and see his car and I get in.

"Hello" I say with a smile.

"What's up my lady?" he asks.

"Can I continue the trip?" his driver asks.

"Sure" Ayo says and the driver takes off in full speed.

"I'm super nervous" I say feeling jittery.

"Don't worry about anything, just have fun" he says giving me a goofy grin.

"If you say so" I say leaning into the seat and closing my eyes.

After some time I feel the car come to a halt.

"We're there sleepy head" Ayo says getting down.

I follow after him. I suddenly feel like going back home.

I have deep feeling in my gut that this party isnt going to go as I planned.

"Well there's only one way to find out" I say to myself as I follow Ayo inside.

There's no going back now.
