I go back to where I was seated feeling happy and sad.

"This is your own five minutes sebi?" Alex asks me.

I just shrug and get out my phone. I put in my headphones and listen to Somebody to die for by Sam Smith.

I love his music and it puts me in a good mood whenever I listen to it.

Maybe I should just stay away from Aaron instead of giving myself unnecessary heartache every time I talk to him.

Maybe he's right, I should just stay in my lane and make this easier for us.

Whatever this is? I have no idea what he means by that.

"We're leaving" Alex says pulling me up.

I follow him without a word.

When we get to the car, I open the door and get into the front seat.

He joins me after saying goodbye to his friends. He starts the car and the engine roars to life then he speeds off.

Aaron's P.O.V

I've been thinking about Naomi since last night and I can't seem to stop not even for a second.

I'm going through my phone when my door flies open to reveal my main man, Ayo.

"What's up?" he ask crashing on my bed.

 I put away my phone and turn to face him. "Nothing much"

"I'm leaving for Ibadan tomorrow" he says.

Lucky soul he's going to Ibadan to see his grandparents all through the midterm. The pampering he's going to receive.

"Buy something for me when you're coming back" I say.

"That's the only thing you know, you can't say have fun or safe journey" he says shaking his head at me.

"Oya sorry. Have fun oo, safe journey and buy something for me" I say with a chuckle.

"Better" He says picking up my phone.

This boy has a bad habit of going through my stuff, especially my phone always invading my privacy. Everything I own automatically becomes his own too and vice versa.

Not that I made that rule oo is him that made it but I don't mind. Ayo's like a blood brother to me I don't even know how my life would like without him.

"When was the last time, you talked to Naomi?" He asks dropping my phone beside him.

"It has been long" I say.

"Why? You guys were about to became a thing" he says.

"She has a boyfriend" I blurt out.

I watch shock register on his face.

"Did she tell you this?" he asks.

"Nope" I say.

"Then I don't believe it and plus you never even asked her if she had a boyfriend" he says.

"She could've mentioned it" I say.

"Yeah because that's so normal. She'll jus be like hey everyone, I have a boyfriend. Totally normal" he says with a voice full of sarcasm.

I match his tone to annoy him. "Totally normal" 

"Where did you even hear this crap?" Ayo asks.

I hesitate if I tell him that Diane told me, he'll yab my life. Knowing the type of person Ayo is I'll get lecture.

"Guy, I asked you a question" he say impatiently.

"Diane told me" I say in a quiet voice.

"I always knew you were stupid, I just never thought the level of stupidity was as high as this" he says.

I just stare at him, I knew he'll vex.

"You have done many daft things but this is the most idiotic one" he says.

Lecture will start now.

"How could you Aron. Diane, the same girl that killed Racheal" Ayo says.

I flinch at that. How could he just bring up the incident like it was a joke?

"I'm sorry I had to bring it up like that but I had to emphasize my point" he says in an apologetic voice.

Racheal first girl I ever truly liked. She was killed by Diane.

At least that's what we heard.

"You're going to go over to Naomi's house this minute and apologize for being an asshole and tell her what you just told me" he says in a very serious tone.

"Sure" I say sarcastically.

"Aaron, I'm serious" he says.

Omo, he's actually serious,

"This guy nawa for you oo. I should start going to her house" I say in unbelief.

"The faster you get ready the earlier you'll get there" he say.

I don't want to get on his bad side. So I get up and head over to the bathroom.

Naomi's P.O.V

The house is quiet today in a nice way I guess.

Alex is out of the house, I thank God for that.

Nathan and Moses are playing COD in Nathan's room and I'm helping Ruth to loosen her hair in the parlour.

"Can we bake tomorrow?" Ruth asks me.

"Do we have baking stuff?" I ask her.

"I think so I'll check the store" she says.

"Tell me if we need anything, we'll go and buy" I say.

"Alright" she says.

There's silence until someone rings the doorbell.

"I'm coming" I say getting up.

"Who is it?" I ask.

"Aaron"

I freeze, what is he doing here?

"Open the door na" Ruth says.

I open the door and see him standing there looking as handsome as ever.

"May I come in?" he asks.

I move aside for him to enter. I shut the door behind him.

"Make yourself comfortable" I say.

He sits on one of the couches.

"I need to talk to you" he says.

"I think I should go" Ruth says then she gets up and leaves.

I guess it's only me now against my problems.

"What's the matter?" I ask.

"I came to explain why I have been acting so strange" he says in a breath.

Dreams do come true, finally I'll get to know why he's acting so weird around me.

"What's the reason?" I ask.

"It's because you're related to Nathan" he says.

What the fuck? What does Nathan have to do with any of this?

"So because of my brother, we can't be together?" I ask in unbelief.

"Yes and because you have a boyfriend" he says plainly.

Is he serious right now? You've got to be kidding me.

"I don't have a boyfriend" I say bluntly.

"I knew you would fucking lie, I knew there was no point wasting my precious and valuable time by coming here hurt so you could open your big ass mouth and lie"! He shouts at the top of his voice.

I do something unthinkable, I strike him hard across the face.

"Get the fuck out of my house" I say trying my best to control myself.

"What did you just do?" he asks.

"I slapped you and I'll do it again if you don't leave my house this minute" 

"I'm not going anywhere" he says smirking.

"Get out of my house you bastard!" I shout at the top of my voice in extreme anger.

"Naomi, what is the matter?"

I turn around to see my brother standing there.

"This idiot is the matter" I say pointing at Aaron.

"What are you doing here?" Nathan asks glaring at Aaron.

"I came to see your sister" he says.

"From what I can see, she doesn't want to entertain your idiotic antics, so leave!" Nathan shouts.

Aaron just laughs. This one must be mad. You're laughing you really want Nathan to fuck you up.

"You have no right to shout on me. After all I'm the person that is innocent here" Aaron says

Innocent kwa, what is this one talking about?

"You aren't innocent in anyway" my brother says and I see pain in his eyes.

There's something I don't know about.

"I am. Your sister is a liar and you're a thief. I'm not surprised those two go hand in hand" he says smirking.

"Are you mad or something, how dare you call my brother a thief, what could he possibly have stolen from you?" I ask in extreme anger.

"He is he stole someone not something. He stole Rachel" Aaron says facing my brother.

I see the pain in my brother's eyes. I know Racheal, she was my brother's girlfriend although they were in a long distance relationship.

My brother met her when we came to Lagos to see our uncle and he liked her from the first day he saw her.

I always thought holiday relationships don't last but they proved me wrong. When she told my brother she had finally convinced her parents to let her come to Ogun state for school he was so happy.

We got news two days later that she died.

"I might have stolen her from you but you did something much worse. You killed her" Nathan says his voice cracking at the last part.

I watch Aaron's eyes widen with shock.

"I killed Rachel" Aaron says but it's more of a statement than a question.

"Don't act dumb, she liked you before she liked me but feelings die and they change. You just couldn't accept it to prevent her from getting to me, you had to something so daft" my brother says in anger.

"I know we hate each other but I would never have believed you'll accuse me of such a thing" Aaron says.

"It's not accusation if it's true" Nathan says the he goes upstairs.

I saw the way his left eye twitched it can only mean one thing he went to cry.

Aaron wants to say something but I stop him by raise of hand.

"Just go" I say.

He leaves.

I sit on the couch as soon as he's gone so that's why my brother doesn't want us together.

I don't mind I'm willing to make that sacrifice for my brother. I can give up my favourite thing in thing in the world for him because he would do it for me.

As much as it hurts me I'll give up my dreams of ever being in a relationship with Aaron.

We just can't.
