April: Confrontation.

Lucia gently knocked at the neighbor’s door on the right side. There were murmurs inside the room as she waited. One door to her left, two doors away, opened. The person stepped outside but when he notices her, he immediately goes back in without a word. Guess he saw the drama too. Back to the door.

She tries to put her poker face on. People sumbit to those kinds of things. Wait, the neighbor is a bro. Her heart lightened up and she sighed the assertive face off. The door opened for a crack. A follow-up voice that said, “No, wait!” was heard as a girl opened the door.

“Um, excuse me, may I speak with your roommate?” Lucia asked kindly, smiling as she noticed that it was not the same face as before.

“Oh, um… Laiza!!” she said as she never took her eyes off of Lucia. She was tanned, black haired  and she was nervously laughing to herself. “Um, come in!”

Lucia nodded and stepped inside. At least she didn’t have to use force to get in.

“OMG, RegularTimer, I am SUCH a fan of you and Pewdie!” she says as she tries to stifle her excitement. “I’m Alec, by the way. Oh! Take a seat!”

Lucia smiled and replied to her compliment with a brofist as she sat down. Still, she needed to get straight to the point now. Every second counts.

“So, uh… Where is ‘Laiza’?” Lucia started, looking around the room impatiently.

“Will you excuse me for… just one second?”

“Sure, sure.”

Alec’s POV

Laiza, Laiza, Laiza. What the fudge did you do this time?! You only said that you’re just gonna go buy groceries and shizz and now this! I knew I should have jus—

“Laiza? What are you doing?”

Laiza looked up from her laptop to see her roommate looking down at her. The USB connector was stuck to her phone and her laptop. On the screen, the icon of a picture that finished loading was seen.

“Dude!... You should have been there! Pewdie was, like, on the ground… WITH FINN!” Laiza said as she stood up, shaking Alec by the shoulders. She was fangirling, of course. She was both a fan of Pewdie and Jacksgap at the same time, so this might get dirty.

Aside from the fact that Laiza’s sentence sounded really awkward as it is, Alec has to focus on the matter at hand. Lucia. Is. Waiting. Like, right now.

“Dude! RegularTimer’s looking for you…” Alec spat out.

There, Laiza stopped fangirling.

“Seriously?” Laiza said as she walked away to peek from behind a wall to see Lucia looking through Alec’s sketchpad that was on the coffee table. Alec shrieked softly to herself that if she could only take it back before her creations are seen but it was too late.

“Dude! Talk to her! She’s asking for you!” Alec said as she pushes Laiza.

It was already too late for Laiza to fight back since Lucia’s eyes were now on her.

Lucia’s POV

“Oh, hi there!” Lucia says as she manages to break another alluring smile to the girl-bro.

Laiza slowly walked towards her, afraid of the consequences she might have to face with what she did. Alec finally joined her to help her roll with it.

“OMG, I’m seriously with RegularTimer now!” Laiza said aloud, trying to shake whatever nervousness away.

To Lucia, this was simply just a ruse to stall the moment. She wants to end this as quick as she can so she can tend to Felix. Still, they’re both bros and she has to go easy on them. The bros DID give her a Fionna ha—wait, no, those were the twins. They’re sorta part of the bro-army, right?

“So, uh, Laiza… I bet you saw that scene back there, right?” Lucia finally started as Alec stared Laiza down to the couch.

“Um, yeah, so?” Laiza replied, fidgeting in her seat. ‘So’? You do not say something like a ‘so’ to a ‘higher’ being.

“Well, I saw you taking a picture of that, did you not?”

There, Laiza gulped, looked at Alec and back at Lucia. Lucia’s previous smile was slowly fading away. Very slowly. But no one can deny it now. Silence is the very essence of stalled guilt.

“Where is it now?” Lucia added.

“.. Um… Posted…” Laiza whispered the last word as softly as she can.

“… Where?!” Lucia widened her eyes, now gripping the couch handles very tightly.

“Facebook…?”

“Oh, jeez… C-Can you please delete it? Our jobs may depend on it.”

“A-Anything, RT.” Alec answered quickly.

“Thanks, dude.”

“Come on, Laiza. Helpsh meh.”

“I am TOTALLY sorry.” Laiza whispered before she got up and followed Alec.

“Wait, I’m coming with you.” Lucia said as she calmed herself down once again.

The three both went to the laptop to find that there were already 12 likes and 3 shares. This wasn’t looking so good. Laiza hovered the cursor arrow over the delete photo and soon pressed it. Laiza looked over at her notifications bar and saw the three people that shared the photo.

Three familiar faces. Three close friends. Easy negotiation, probably. PROBABLY. Especially one who has, like, about 1,800 friends and most of them are bros.

“OMG, Iya, Ligie and Mhira.” Alec whispered.

“Bros?” Lucia asked as she heard the names.

“Uh, yeah.” Laiza said, going over to the first person who shared the photo, Victoria Samson. Thinking that she only shared the photo like, three minutes ago, there is a huge possiblity that she could still be online.

‘Dude! Hurry! Delete the BRO photo! NOW!’ Laiza frantically typed. After a few moments, Victoria finally started typing. Who knows how long she might take, she’s mobile. She finally answered, only it was another question. (Don’t cha hate it when peeps do that?)

‘What? Why?’

‘Just. Do. It.’

“Nike, right there.” Alec remarked which unfortunately didn’t put a smile of Lucia’s face not until three seconds passed. Boy, was it intense.

The second one, Ligie, took twice as long. For she was a Sagittarius. And for all they know, Sagittariuses are curios and won’t give up until you give them the answers. Well, anyhow, she did delete the pic in the end. But the last one, Mhira, was all the trouble.

She had a chock full of friends who are practically bros. And, it was already too late for them to make her delete it for several shares are already made and who knows how long the chain goes now.

“Forget it… Just… Forget it.” Lucia says, giving up.

“You sure?” Alec asked, biting her lip.

“Yeah.. I’ll just.. wing it.”

“YEAH!” Laiza shouted in agreement, knowing that that was her motto on the Chemistry test.

“Thanks, bros…. For trying to help.”

“I am.. really sorry… I’ll get down on my knees if I have to.” Laiza said, humbling herself down.

“No, no need for that.. Well, a simple brofist would do, man.” They did. “You guys are really cool… I’ll make sure Pewdie’ll know you two.”

Alec and Laiza squealed to themselves as Lucia finally made her way out their room. It didn’t go exactly the way she wanted but, whatever. What may come, can come. As long as Felix is gonna be okay. At least the two tried.
