What do guys think of the story so far?

Nudge.

Nudge. Nudge.

Nudge. Nudge. Nudge.

"What do yOU WANT?!" I yelled while kicking and punching the air.

"Ow!" What is it with you and hitting my nose?!"

Fully conscious now, I realized that it was Luc who was nudging me before.

"Sorry! I thought you were a kidnapper!" I apologized with a mountain of sorry's afterward.

"We need to work on that." he said while trying to find a plaster to stop the blood coming from the bridge of his nose.

"But I need my reflexes~" I told him childishly. "What about if one day someone decides to capture me?"

"Well, let's hope that day doesn't come." He had found the plaster and put it across his nose.

A small giggle escaped my mouth at his slightly changed look.

He crossed his arms and looked at me with a frown drawn on his face.

"Don't laugh at me"

Well I can't help it, you look so cute with the plaster on your little wittle nose~" I awed.

Now that I think about it, it sounds a little creepy-

I better change that

"And I'm not saying this in a mocking manner." I countered with my hands up to show I was innocent.

"Uhhhh . . ."

He looks unsure on what to say.

I should change the subject to something more comfortable

"Anyway, why did you wake me up with your nudging?"

"Because we're at the Monarch's Castle?! Don't you remember?" he looked at me flabbergasted.

The Monarch's Castle?

? ? ?

Oh right!

We came to the castle to get Uncle Gus and Luc's person that he lost!

Gee, my memory is already failing and I'm only twelve.

On the outside, I was giving him a blank stare while my mind was trying to get it's gears back into motion.

"Hello? Anybody home?" He waved his hands in front of me to get a reaction.

I snapped out of my daze and smiled.

"Yeah, sorry, my memory flew out the window for a while."

Luc rolled his eyes in a joking manner and shook his head, as if to say 'What am I going to do with you?'

I also rolled my eyes. As my eyes rolled, I noticed that we were in the middle of clearing with bushes surrounding every inch and corner.

How did we even get inside here?

Being the curious person I am, I internally decided to ask him. "Where are we? I know this ain't the castle, unless it's very tiny and invisible."

"Ha ha, no." He started out laughing before becoming serious, gee, get this poor guy a sense of humor.

"Were in a forest close to the castle, did you expect me to park at their doorstep?"

"Uhhhh, kinda?" I confessed with my eyes avoiding him.

He pinched the bridge of nose, but not so hard that it made the blood start bleeding through the plaster.

"It doesn't matter anyway!" I yelled while throwing my arms up in the air.

"Shhhh!" He ran up to me and covered my mouth while shussing me.

I looked at him angrily and tried to say 'Don't shush me!' but it came out more like "Duh Shug mmmeg!".

He looked me in the eyes, then moved to a bush hiding in the tree's shadows. I followed the trail of his eyes and I saw another metallic golden frog hidden in the corner of a bush.

That's weird.

I thought I had taken care of it.

Maybe it has an identical sibling?

Why is Luc so scared of it?
Does he not like frogs?

Is he scared of all of them, or just the golden kind?

Oh. My. Gosh.

Are they poisonous?

Are they deadly poisonous?

Is that why he keeps overreacting when he sees one?

My confused face went back to a neutral one. He realized that and lowered his hand from my mouth. He looked at me and nodded, and I nodded back, sort of confused at what he was planning to do. He slowly crept towards the cart and pulled my big tree branch from earlier out of it.

Is he going to hit the frog?

As I backed away, he inched closer and down the branch went.

I closed my eyes, not wanting to see the inner organs of the poor frog.

Is he okay?!

After a couple seconds of waitting, I slightly opened my eyes.

Instead of a messy pile of bones and blood.

I saw an arrangement of gears, screws and other mechanical-looking equipment.

What the-

Then it clicked in me.
