Adrianna felt her blood beginning to boil. What the hell did Matthias want? He dumped her, and now miraculously two months later he wanted to talk to her? Oh no, it didn't work that way, and he was about to learn real quick that she was not going to be toyed with.

Obviously I'm awake. It's not even eight. Why would I be in bed? She sent the message back, obviously ticked off at this point. The girl stood and went to her room, fairly sure she was going to have to go off on someone and she didn't want to have her friends listen to it if she could avoid it. She sat down at her desk, angrily smacking the power button to turn it on.

She sighed angrily when she felt her phone go off. She glanced at it only to see his name flashing across her screen, picture of him smiling back at her. Adrianna decided then that she probably should've cleaned out her phone months ago. She answered the phone with a hiss, "Hello?"

"Hey, Dree," his voice sounded through her ears, and it only made her madder when he called her 'Dree.' Matthias had lost that privilege long ago. "What's up?"

"Sitting in my room. Why?" Adrianna asked back.

"Well, I don't want to interrupt anything if you're busy," Matthias said almost guilty.

"What do you want from me?" Adrianna cut to the chase. "You said we needed to talk. What about?"

"I... err... wanted to apologize for breaking up with you," he said quietly. "I made a real stupid mistake."

Adrianna laughed. "Damn right you did!"

"I'm being serious, Dree. I messed up big time, and I'm so sorry," it seriously sounded like he was about to cry. "I've been a wreck for a while now, but I didn't have the guts to call you, or send you a message since I saw your picture on Facebook a few weeks ago."

Her picture? Oh... she had almost forgotten she had changed her profile picture to one of her and Tom a few weeks back. She was almost curious as to how he managed to see it, but then again she really hadn't been quiet about her newfound love.

When she hadn't said anything for a few moments, Matthias asked, "So who is that guy in your picture? Seth told me it was your new boyfriend... is that true?"

"Yea, that's my boyfriend, Tom," Adrianna answered proudly. "Why does it matter to you who he is?"

"Err... I was hoping to fix things with you actually," he said back quietly.

"Fix things? You dump me, and don't even give me a valid reason for it, and now two months later, you want to fix things?" Adrianna sighed angrily.

"Look, I was an idiot okay? I didn't know what I had til it was gone. I was wrong to do that to you," Matthias answered.

"That still doesn't explain why you left me in the first place," Adrianna pointed out.

Matthias didn't say anything for several moments. "Look, Dree, there was this other girl, and I thought she was what I wanted, but I was wrong. She wasn't you..."

Adrianna rolled her eyes. She was so not buying this story. Matthias was always a manipulator, and probably always would be. Adrianna didn't forget that. "Oh of course she wasn't. She probably gave you what you wanted."

"That's not the point Adrianna," Matthias pleaded. "Just can we forget this ever happened? Go back to what we used to be?"

By this point Adrianna had lost all of her patience with the boy. Her claws were about to come out, and it wasn't going to be a pretty sight. She had already pulled up the internet and was on Facebook, though it wasn't helping her mood any. "So let me get this straight... you want me to get back with you? It's not going to happen, Matthias. I have Tom now, and I'm completely happy with him."

"You've been with him for less than two months; he can't mean that much to you," Matthias went on. "Honestly, Dree, we had something special."

"Key word Matthias: had," Adrianna hissed. "You decided to leave me for a piece of ass. That isn't okay."

"Like Tom wouldn't."

Adrianna couldn't take it anymore. She was about to erupt. "He wouldn't because unlike you, he actually cares. He respects me as a woman, something you sure as hell never did." She took a deep breath, hoping the tears she had in her eyes were from anger, before adding, "You are nothing compared to Tom."

Matthias was actually struck speechless for a second. "What makes him so much better than me? What does he have that I don't?"

"I dunno, how about some decency? How about some self-respect? How about a job that actually pays bills?" Adrianna listed. "And most importantly, he loves me for me, not because I 'look good on his arm.'"

"So you leave to England and now all of a sudden you like pretty boys? He looks weak and pathetic," Matthias thought aloud. "He probably couldn't defend himself."

Adrianna silently pictured a fight between Tom and Matthias in her head. Matthias had a few inches of height over Tom, and probably thirty pounds over him too. But Adrianna knew better than to assume. She was tiny, and she had fought off people three times her size before. Besides, she knew Rupert and Matt wouldn't let Tom lose. "He's perfectly able to defend himself Matthias," she assured. "But if this has turned into a session for you to just bash my boyfriend, I'm not going to stay on the line."

"Well what do you expect me to do? He done took you from me, and you expect me to be cordial to him?" Matthias answered her, his voice beginning to rise.

The girl sighed angrily. "He didn't take me from you. You left me; what part of that can't you get through your thick skull?"

"Apparently a lot since I actually bought plane tickets to come to see you," Matthias replied, grudgingly.

"What the hell do you mean you bought plane tickets?" Adrianna about fell out of her chair. The last thing she wanted was having Matthias show up at her apartment, especially without Tom there.

"I mean exactly that," Matthias answered. "I'm standing in Heathrow Airport right now. Seth and I just got off the plane and are waiting for our luggage, and then we were going to head over to your place."

You have got to be kidding me, Adrianna thought, extremely peeved by this point. This can't be happening to me. "We won't be home. Marisa and I are going to her boyfriend's place," she lied, hoping that would get him to change his mind.

"Well then I guess we'll stop by tomorrow then. Would loveeeee to meet this jerk who is keeping you from me. So I guess I'll talk to you then. Have a nice night Adrianna."

With that, the call ended. Adrianna threw her phone against the wall out of frustration. Matthias was going to learn real quick who the hell he was messing with. He wasn't going to get away with it; Adrianna didn't know how she was going to make that happen, she just knew she was done and over the whole situation.

The girl got up from the computer and went over to her bed where she collapsed onto her pillow and a hoodie of Tom's. She held it close as she began to cry, tears flowing from her eyes unchecked. This was turning into a disaster, one she wasn't going to be able to control without the cops getting involved. She couldn't help but to want Tom to be back now, telling her everything was going to be okay. Deep down... she knew all hell was about to break loose around her, and the worst part was that there was nothing she could do about it...
