Chapter 12: This Has to Be Illegal...
Hello again my lovely readers. =) I must say this is the quickest I've typed a chapter in a LONG time. This was supposed to be two chapters, but I decided with what I had planned I couldn't have it all in one chapter. =P You'll see why next chapter, of course. =P Hope you all enjoy!

"If you two don't hurry up we're going to end up leaving without you!" Adrianna yelled at her friends. "Tom will be here any minute! I will not hesitate in leaving you!"
Marisa and Valarie came running into the room, both dressed to perfection. It had been a while since Adrianna had seen either of them with their makeup and hair done. She knew the only reason they had was because Tom said that Rupert and Matt were going to be there. Unlike Adrianna, those two could not refrain from going "fan girl" on them. Adrianna honestly could say she was going to feel bad for them. Unlike her friends, she hadn't gotten completely dolled up; all she had told them is that they were going to be spending a large amount of time in town and walking the shore.
Adrianna was shaken from her thoughts when she noticed the two girls looking at her impatiently. "He should hurry up!" Marisa squealed.
Adrianna stared out the window just in time to see a vehicle pull into the parking lot. "Tom's not driving," Adrianna laughed. "Rupert is, and they're here now."
The other two girls rushed to the window, both searching for the vehicle that carried the three young men. Almost immediately, they spotted what appeared to be an ice cream truck parked on the curb. Three guys peered up at them through the open window of the vehicle. It was definitely them alright.
"You girls want to take a ride in our tricked out truck?!" Tom yelled up at them.
Adrianna laughed, immediately remembering the interview in which they had him attempting to speak American. "Most definitely! Be down in a second!" She shut the window, and snatched her purse off the table. "C'mon girls, let's go."
After exiting and locking up the apartment, Adrianna led her friends downstairs and to the parking lot where almost instantly she could've sworn her friends melted for the men standing in front of them. All three of the boys had decided to meet them on the sidewalk outside the vehicle. Tom greeted Adrianna with a brief hug before saying, "So I think some introductions are in order." He gestured at his friends next to him. "These are Rupert and Matt. Boys, this is the girl I've been telling you about, Adrianna. And those two behind her are her friends."
Adrianna waved slightly at his friends, so beyond the fact that she was dealing with celebrities. "Nice to meet you both. And these are my friends Marisa and Valarie."
She glanced over at her shoulder at her friends, awaiting a greeting from them, but instead she got a loud scream of joy from Marisa. Adrianna covered her ears for a moment until Marisa's screaming had ceased. As she turned to reprimand her friend, she realized all efforts in doing so would be futile, as her friend had already begun jabbering away to Rupert, who honestly didn't seem to mind. The two of them were looking into each other's eyes, completely oblivious to the fact everyone was still there.
Adrianna averted her gaze from them, and instead looked to Valarie and Matt, who both were just standing there awkwardly, not saying anything. Adrianna had almost forgotten Valarie had a boyfriend at home, but she would've felt terrible for not inviting her. Worst case scenario they would be the ones to keep the group from becoming too out of hand.
After a few more awkward glances between her friends and Tom, she spoke, "Well, shall we depart?"
Tom, too, was feeling the awkwardness and decided to help speed up the process. "Definitely. We should probably get a move on guys."
Adrianna noticed Rupert's gaze finally drift away from her friend for a moment. "Yea... we probably should."
With that, all six of them boarded the ice cream truck. Adrianna was honestly unsure how they all managed to fit in there, but she wasn't going to complain about having to sit extra close to Tom. She watched Valarie with watchful eyes as the girl tried to find a comfortable way to sit. Adrianna was sure it was definitely illegal to be having this many people crammed into an ice cream truck.
"So do you have any ice cream?" she asked loudly, eventually sitting on what would've been the freezer.
"Uh no," Rupert managed to hear that over his conversation with Marisa.
"Uh why not?" Valarie continued to ask questions.
"I don't have the permits for that kind of stuff," Rupert muttered kind of sadly. "Besides, we would end up eating all of the ice cream anyways and not get any profit from it!"
"You don't need no stinkin' permits! There should be ice cream!" Valarie complained. Adrianna and Tom exchanged glances, both of them having the same questioning look upon their face. Val noticed and immediately screamed, "I know I'm a fat kid! You don't have to rub it in!"
All of them started laughing on the spot. "We'll get some ice cream later," Matt finally spoke. "We have plenty of time to do that."
Tom gave him an expectant look. "Well, you guys have all the time in the world. Adrianna and I have plans later on."
That baffled Adrianna. Plans? He hadn't mentioned anything about extra plans earlier. What was he up to?
"Oh yea," Matt answered. "I remember now."
So Matt knew about it, but she didn't. Adrianna let her mind wander. What could he possibly be planning? Adrianna tried to shake her thoughts, but she just couldn't help but wonder what on Earth Tom was up to.
Before she had time to get much further, she felt herself lurching to the side as Rupert turned a corner a little too fast. It was enough to make her press against Tom further, if that we're possible, and Valarie fell off of freezer and into Matt's lap. Adrianna was shocked to see her sit there for a moment before getting back up.
"Watch where you're going!" Val yelled, finally maneuvering herself of Matt's lap and back onto the freezer.
Rupert only chuckled in response. Adrianna shook her head. The group had barely known each other for ten minutes yet, and they were already playing jokes on each other. Adrianna was sure that was a good thing at this point.
Moments later, they came to a stop along the side of the road by the shoreline. Rupert turned off the ice cream truck, and all six of them emerged from the vehicle, the four who squeezed into the back looking far worse than the two who sat in the front.
"That was fun! We should do that again!" Marisa squealed for joy.
Val pushed her short hair out of her face. "You would be the one to say that. Next time you ride in the back."
Adrianna snickered to herself, amused by her friends' squabble. She felt Tom's arm wrap around her shoulders causing her to smile even further. "So where are we going?" she decided to interrupt Val and Marisa.
"Well, we figured today would be a perfect day to just wander the beach," Tom answered for all of them. "Not quite warm enough to swim, but you know what I mean."
"What are we waiting for?" Marisa raised an eyebrow. "Let's go!" With that, she grabbed Rupert by the hand and drug him off towards the water.
Matt and Valarie exchanged glances before following slowly behind them. They weren't standing nearly as close as the other two couples, but Adrianna knew her friend well enough to know she was digging on Matt.
"Think we did the right thing by introducing them?" Tom asked her.
"To be honest?" Adrianna asked. When Tom nodded, she answered simply, "No."
The two of them laughed and began to follow their friends, unsure of what the rest of this day was going to bring them.
