Adrianna had never seriously debated of what dress to wear out. The worst part about it was she was just going clubbing, nothing she normally didn't do. She, Marisa and Valarie were frequenters of several of London's clubs. Although it was something Adrianna would've never done in her home country, she found it to be quite fun in London.

She eventually decided on a small black dress, pairing it with some strappy heels and some flashy jewelry. The girl had applied her make up perfectly, and managed to curl her long brown hair. She took a deep breath as she looked at herself in the mirror. She knew this was going to be a long night of dancing and possible drinking.

Before she could get too lost in her thoughts, there was a knock on her apartment door. Without a doubt, she knew it was Valarie coming to pick her up. Adrianna rushed to the door, opening it to let her friend inside. A blonde girl dressed in a red dress stepped inside.

"Hey sexy," she greeted. "You ready to go party?"

Adrianna smiled, though had some other girl called her that she would've been a little concerned. "Totally. Where are we going tonight?"

Valarie shrugged. "Hell if I know. Wherever the party's at I suppose."

"Sounds good to me," Adrianna sighed, picking up her purse.

The two girls made their way out of the apartment and out to Valarie's car. Adrianna was honestly ready to get out of her house and out into the world. She needed to keep the situation off of her mind. Hopefully this was going to help.

About halfway to the club, Valarie decided to ask, "So are you really okay enough to be going out tonight? I don't want you getting completely wasted and acting irrationally."

Adrianna nodded. "I should be fine. I'm not going to drink much of anything, if at all. I'll probably just go dance randomly like I usually do."

Valarie shrugged, turning a corner. "Maybe you'll meet someone."

"Doubt it," Adrianna muttered. "I have way too much baggage for a guy to want to put up with me."

Hadn't Valarie been driving, she would've hit her friend. She hated seeing Adrianna look down on herself the way she did. There was nothing about her that a guy wouldn't like. "Adrianna, don't be so hard on yourself. It's that kind of attitude a guy will run away from," she said blandly.

"I'll be better once we get there," Adrianna assured.

"You better! I didn't bring you to mope," Valarie stated, pulling her car into a parking lot next to a black BMW. Valarie didn't have a bad car, but parking next to a car like that really made them feel like the white trash of the area. "Now cheer up," she went on.

The two girls slowly made their way into the club. Almost as soon as they got in, Valarie disappeared, leaving Adrianna there alone. The music pulsed through her, but it was not enough to make her want to dance. Taking a deep breath, the brunette made her way over to the bar, taking a seat near the dance floor. She ordered a strawberry daiquiri, practically the only alcoholic beverage she liked.

She sipped on it quietly, almost oblivious to what was going on around her. She was supposed to be happy to be there, but she wasn't. Adrianna was bored, not to mention still down about what happened to her. Who wouldn't be? She finished her drink, moving the narrow glass away from her. She turned away from the bar, looking out across the mob of people on the dance floor, hoping she would spot Valarie. When the blonde girl was nowhere to be found, Adrianna sighed, spinning back around in her chair.

She glanced to her right and a guy had sat down next to her. In the dim lighting, she could hardly make out his features, but she thought from what she could see he was pretty cute. He caught her glance and smiled.

"Wanna go dance?" he asked. Adrianna swore his voice was familiar, but she couldn't quite place where she had heard it before.

"Sure," she answered, nonchalantly. She figured, what could go wrong? She needed to go have some fun like Valarie had suggested, and besides, she thought his accent was sexy.

The two reached the dance floor, and began dancing to the song that was playing. Honestly, Adrianna was nervous to be out dancing with him, not because he was a stranger, but because he sounded so familiar. What if she had known him?

"So... what's your name? I've never seen you here before," he asked her.

"I'm Adrianna," she answered, "and actually I come here all the time."

"Odd, I thought I would've noticed a girl like you," he said.

"And what's your name?" she asked, hoping he couldn't see her blushing in the dim lighting.

"Tom," he replied. "Nice to meet you, by the way."

"Nice to meet you, Tom," she smiled.

"So uh... are you here alone?" he asked.

Adrianna shook her head. "My friend is here somewhere, but I probably won't see her until we go home. Love her to death, but she has a way of disappearing when we go out. What about you?"

Tom chuckled slightly. "My buddy Rupert is around here somewhere, but I have no idea where." He laughed again. "Seems we're in the same boat."

Adrianna smiled. "It would seem so."

Then it hit her. She had smiled. He was the first person who had been able to get her to smile in a while. Adrianna couldn't say she minded. There was something different about him, but she didn't know what. Although she had just met him, she felt as if they had been friends for years already. They danced a little longer, but then sat down in a booth when a particularly atrocious song came on.

Tom was the first to break the ice. "You're not from around here are you?" Tom asked.

"No, I moved here not too long ago with my friends. Marisa and I are roommates, and Valarie lives on her own. We wanted to experience something different, if you will," Adrianna kind of explained. "Get a break from our country."

"So let me guess... the United States?" he guessed, taking a drink of water.

"Correct you are," Adrianna said. "But I bet you can't guess where though."

Tom had a puzzled look on his face for a moment, as if he was thinking. "No idea. You don't really have any sort of... identifiable accent. Mind telling me?"

"Detroit," Adrianna answered, though she was sure that would've scared him off. Most people would scurry away from her upon hearing where she was from, but Tom stayed put. He smirked, as if he knew exactly what she was thinking.

"That explains a lot," he replied coolly. "You strike me as the 'look at me the wrong way and I'll kill you' type of girls."

Adrianna shrugged. "Depending on whom they are and how they look at me."

"What did you think when you saw me looking at you?" Tom pressed on.

I panicked, her brain thought, but her mouth said something else. "I was curious. Most guys don't approach me like that."

He chuckled. "Well, I'm certainly not most guys."

Oh, Adrianna definitely knew that much. "Hmmm... we'll have to see about that, now won't we?" she joked.

"Depends," Tom answered. He paused for a second before continuing, "I was hoping that this wasn't the last time I see you, but that's entirely up to you."

Adrianna was a little taken aback at first, but then was overjoyed at the idea. He was definitely charming, she couldn't deny that. Even though she was still hurting inside, she knew she had to accept his offer.

"That sounds good to me," she eventually said.

Tom smiled. "Tomorrow night good for you? Dinner, perhaps?"

Adrianna felt her face flush pink. Even though she knew Tom couldn't see it, she was still completely embarrassed by it. "Of course," she answered shyly.

"Excellent," he replied. He took out a pen and wrote something down on a nearby napkin.

He slid it across the table towards her as another guy approached them. Adrianna quickly recognized the writing on the paper as a phone number, so she ripped part of the paper off and wrote hers down, handing it to him. Tom glanced at it for a moment before he smiled and stowed it in his pocket.

"I'll call you," he promised, and Adrianna believed him. He took her hand, and kissed the top of it before saying, "Good night."

"Good night," she said back quietly. She watched Tom and his friend leave the club with longing eyes. She was honestly a little disappointed about him leaving. She was just getting to know him; Adrianna was going to be sure to take advantage of that dinner he had promised tomorrow night.

She sighed, lost in her thoughts, as Valarie plopped down in front of her, obviously trying to avoid some guy. "I'm so glad I found you!" she exclaimed. "There was this guy and he would not leave me alone!"

Adrianna barely nodded. Sometimes Valarie made her wonder. Her friend had a boyfriend back at home, but often danced with other guys. Adrianna just figured it was none of her business. "I thought you wanted to see some guys?"

"Not creepers like him!" Valarie said back. "He was way too old for me! And he was ugly!"

"Well, congrats on attracting creepers," Adrianna replied, still staring at the club's exit.

Valarie took notice to the way Adrianna was staring at the door. She knew something was up with her friend, and she was going to get to the bottom of it. "So... may I ask why you're looking at the door?" Val asked, casually.

"Uh... no reason," Adrianna lied. If she had told Valarie it was because of a guy, she knew she would flip. And probably not in a good way. Valarie had always been defensive of Adrianna ever since they were younger. She was like the younger sister she had never had. Adrianna definitely understood that; it was how she was with Marisa.

Valarie raised an eyebrow. "Oh, don't lie Adrianna. Tell me why."

Adrianna took a deep breath before saying, "Because I have a date tomorrow night with possibly the sexiest being to walk the face of this Earth."

"Well why didn't you say so?!" Valarie exclaimed. "Oh this is good news! We have to get you ready, and-"

Adrianna zoned out her friend's rambling. She was too focused on what actually was going to happen tomorrow night, if it were to even happen...
