Oni's Abode

    "Aaargh! C'mon, work!" exclaimed Kai frustratedly as he stomped out of the cave for the third time. As soon as he stepped beyond the threshold, the Fire reignited in his palms. He stepped back and it immediately flickered out. "What's going on?!"

    There had been a minor setback when dramatically entering the mountain.

    Zane scanned the thick walls, worriedly relaying, "It appears there are thick deposits of Vengestone imbedded into the walls."

    The other Ninja frowned and looked over at Ultra Dragon who had a perplexed expression written on his faces at this news. This had been home, the throne of his Queen. There hadn't been Vengestone. Why was it as silent as death now and why did it reek so bad? Where had everyone gone? He gave a mournful chirp.

    Kai comfortingly rubbed the Dragon's side with sadness shining in his eyes. "I—I think you may have been away longer than you think."

    "And this is what I get for trusting a captured Dragon," mumbled Faith to herself.

    Ultra seemed to have heard, giving a short warning growl. He didn't exactly love the Hunter-Oni's presence either.

    Jay noticed a white glint in the shadows. He ventured farther into the cave. "Hey, what's tha—AAAAGH!"

    Much to his and everyone else's chagrin, his cry echoed loudly. He clamped one hand over his mouth as he shakily pointed and stared wide-eyed at a long row of Dragon skulls mounted on pikes.

    Faith cursed under her breath but her voice echoed in the silence. Cole immediately covered Wu's ears. Only her pride was keeping her in place. She refused to turn tail and exit the cave like a coward. Ha, so much for faith. Hopefully now, she can convince these foolish, altruistic heroes to just abandon this Realm.

    "We shouldn't be here," she said in a low voice, clipping her mask on and pulling out her Vengestone Rifle.

    "Yeah, we kinda figured that out," snarked Kai.

    She motioned them out and as soon as they exited, she revealed, "This is Oni land. They have laid claim to it." Her voice took on a hollow, hardened tone. "There is nothing more to be done. Return to your Realm."

    "But shouldn't we go in? Maybe we can find a clue that will lead us to the Dragon Armor, even if the Dragons aren't here anymore," suggested Wu, peering curiously into the mountain.

    "Don't be stupid. The Oni will tear you to pieces," scoffed Faith.

    "That we will," rasped a voice from the darkness.

    Two shadows slinked forward into moonlight, giving the Ninja and Wu their first view of an Oni in their true form. They were towering figures with tall, twisted horns and glistening tusks. It wasn't a long look as Ultra Dragon immediately set upon the pair, all four heads spitting their Elements and snapping viciously at their mortal enemies.

    The Ninja, though they wanted to help their Dragon, could not assist as the brawl was far too fierce and fast-paced for them to enter into the fray.

    Faith was quick to put an arrow through the heart of the Oni that tried to slip away from the fight. A few seconds later, Ultra finished off the other.

    Cole turned Wu's head away from the gory sight while the others were stunned by the ferocity of the tussle.

    Taking in an even breath, Faith asked, "Now do you wish to leave?"

    "Absolutely!" replied Jay anxiously, readying to summon his Elemental Dragon when Zane blocked him.

    "Wait, there is something on the horizon," announced the Ice Elemental, pointing to an approaching glow down on the desert.

    The whole group collectively stiffened, recognizing the headlights of the many vehicles of the Hunter's hunting party.

    Faith's mind was going into overdrive. They were effectively cornered. To try and flee on their glowing Dragons would be placing a giant target to come and get them; but to venture into territory claimed by the Oni was madness.

    Apparently, the Elementals decided upon the mad course. Wu tugged at her sleeve, pointing into the mountain. "We must hide."

    Hide? Yes. In Oni land? Absolutely not. But... the Hunters were drawing perilously closer. Why were they headed directly for the mountain? How had Iron Baron found them so quickly?

    Her indecision vanished when she saw that even Ultra Dragon dared to enter into the territory of his sworn enemies. The brave Hunter was not about to be outdone by a beast. Evidently, the four-headed Dragon was willing to risk everything than be put in chains again.

    The only light they had was from the metal man's strange eyes. Everyone else stumbled along behind the Ice Master.

    Faith was careful to keep her mismatched eyes focused on the illuminated sections ahead rather than stare at the shadowed walls closing in around them.

    "Where are we going?" whispered Kai, wincing as his voice carried in the darkness.

    "Hopefully not into the jaws of some Oni. Those guys were massive!" cringed Jay as he crept forward.

    Zane suddenly halted, throwing out his arms to prevent the others from passing and hurtling into the deep chasm.

    "Oh, c'mon!" groaned Jay, throwing up his arms in frustration.

    Wu squinted and his eyes lit up as his dream of the deep divide he had to cross came spinning to the forefront of his mind. "Have faith," repeating his father's words to himself encouragingly.

    Cole blinked over at Wu after hearing him mutter to himself. The next thing he knew, the teen ran and took a wild leap of faith over the dark edge before anyone could reach out and grab him.

    The team screeched in terror, expecting Wu to tumble down, never to be seen again. Their shouts died down after realizing their young Master only seemed to be a step shorter and wasn't vanishing from view.

    Wu smiled innocently back at them as if he hadn't just given them a collective heart attack. He stopped his foot on the blackened earth beneath him that acted as a camouflaged bridge. "I had faith."

    "Don't do that," wheezed Cole, placing a hand over his heart and trying to recover.

    The Son of the First Spinjitzu Master tilted his head. "Do what?"

    "He means please don't jump into dark scary pits!" interpreted Jay.

    The young teen seemed to give it some thought before smiling again. "Okay!"

    As they cautiously stepped across, Kai playfully nudged Zane, "Y'know, he kinda reminds me of you."

    Zane pinched his eyebrows together in thought. "How so?"

    Kai shrugged, "I mean, I don't know exactly, but he just does. Maybe it's the crazy dreams and doing weird things that actually end up being useful."

    Cole nodded in agreement, "Yeah, as a teen, he actually is like when you first became a Ninja. No wonder Wu favored you back then. You must've reminded him of himself."

    "I do not believe I was the 'favored one'," denied Zane amusedly.

    "If this is a former Dragon nest and if we keep heading straight, there should be a back exit. Then, we can leave without Iron Baron catching our scent. I guess it's a good thing Dragon's are cowards. They make sure to have plenty of escape hatches," explained Faith, making sure to keep her voice low.

    Ultra grunted in reproach.

    "Stay ready," cautioned the Hunter, keeping her Vengestone Rifle poised to fire. "There could be Oni around any corner."

    "You got it," gulped Jay, nervously scanning the darkness.

    There was a shared moment of relief as moonlight came into view. It was soon dashed to pieces though as they stared—not into the deserts sands on the opposite side of the mountain—but into the heart of the former Dragon nest, which was packed with Oni.

    Ultra Dragon's eyes narrowed into enraged slits.

    The Ninja hurriedly backed themselves and him into the tunnel as quietly as they could. Carefully, they peered around the corner, amazed that they hadn't been noticed.

    "What are they doing?" whispered Jay.

    "They appear to be in some sort of meditative trance," observed Zane.

    Over the pounding of their beating hearts, they began to hear the quiet, eerie chanting rising up from the mass of Oni. A chilling purple aura surrounded the gathering.

    "Okay, I'm officially freaked out now," declared Kai, staring with wide eyes.

    Cole shushed him because something was happening in the Oni gathering. From the center rose the largest, most intimidating Oni they had ever seen. He was practically a giant with ebony horns and a large staff that seemed to stab the sky. The purple aura dissipated as the Oni focused their attention on him.

    In a deep, rasping voice, he addressed the assembly, "My brethren, our time is drawing near. Soon, we shall bring nightfall to this Realm and then to all the Realms!"

    He spat in detest, "No longer must we tolerate the vile Dragons in our Realm nor must we ally ourselves with lesser creatures. I have received word through our collective incantation that Omega draws closer to opening the gateway just as we grow close in destroying Firstbourne."

    Ultra Dragon had to restrain himself from incinerating the nearest Oni.

    The Ninja exchanged worried glances. Who was Omega? Gateway to where? Just how close were they to destroying Firstbourne?

    Their hearts dropped to their stomachs as the lead Oni cut off his grand speech and suddenly fixed his eyes directly where they were nervously peeking their heads out. Was he actually looking at them?

    "Intruders!"  he snarled harshly.

    Yep, they were spotted. There was only one course of action that could be taken.

    Jay popped out, throwing his arms up, "We surrender!"

    His teammates frowned, but seeing no other viable option as they had no weapons or Elements at the moment, they all slowly stepped into the moonlight with their arms raised.

    Cole murmured to Ultra Dragon who looked ready to pounce and kill, "Easy, big guy. We'll find a way outta this. Please don't attack yet."

    Ultra Dragon snarled lowly as he slunk forward obediently. His Masters had lost their minds.

    Faith was the last to step forward, still brandishing her Vengestone Rifle.

    The Oni herded them all towards the center of their gathering. Their jaws were open threateningly and their purple eyes glistened with the raw desire to tear them apart.

    A certain, smaller Oni shoved his way through the crowd and called out in surprise and anger, "Heavy Metal!"

    The leader turned towards the Oni that had the outburst with an expression of intringue. "Oases, you know this trespasser?"

    "Opollyon, this is the Half-Blood pawn," spat Oases. He stalked up to Faith and forcefully pulled off her mask and cast it to the side, revealing her Oni features. Murmurs and gasps rose from the crowd.

    She went rigid under his touch and gritted her teeth as he had unwittingly dug his claws into her healing shoulder. She along with the foreigners knew there would be no fighting this powerful horde. At least for now, they seemed preoccupied with her and hadn't considered destroying anyone just yet.

    The multitude of Oni watched the following interaction intently and silently. The Ninja also observed tensely from the side. Though they desired to intervene in some way, it didn't take Zane's sixth sense to know that this was not their place to speak. Something big, whether good or bad, was about to go down.

    Opollyon stared down disdainfully and scoffed, "You would have me believe that this lowly abomination is worth leaving alive?"

    Oases shrugged as he pointed out the Dragonbone Blade. "She's the only one who's managed to lay a hand on Firstbourne in a hundred years and live."

    "Ah, right. I remember now," nodded the Oni leader slowly. He frowned and curled his lips in disgust, "But Ozazel's lineage is more trouble than it's worth. We should have rid this Realm of all their traitorous souls long ago. And this one is barely worth keeping. It is more Hunter than Oni."

    "Iron Baron spared this one for himself without our knowledge while he turned over the rest to us. For once though, his ambition was of use. This Half-Blood is our key to getting to Firstbourne," reasoned Oases, sensing Opollyon's heavy hate for Ozazel's offspring.

    Truth be told, he held no fondness for the weakling, but wasn't about to let years of conditioning go to waste by letting his leader slaughter their only means of harming the Dragon Mother.

    Faith could not stop the question from spilling from her lips. "What do you mean 'turned over the rest'? Ozazel was killed by Firstbourne."

    The cruel mirth that glittered in Opollyon's deep purple eyes caused cold dread to settle in the pit of her stomach. He gave a harsh bark of laughter as he leaned in close to examine the Half-Blood, "Oh, is that what Iron Baron said?"

    "I was there. I saw her. That was when I claimed this," declared Faith forcefully as she unsheathed the Dragonbone Blade and swung it threateningly.

    The towering Oni was unfazed and the mocking glee remained in his gaze. He chuckled, "You don't know?" His question sounded more like a statement.

    Heat flared beneath Faith's skin as others within the Oni crowd sniggered along. She demanded sharply, "What don't I know?"

    "The claim Iron Baron makes against us is not entirely false. Though you know that we were not the ones who laid waste to Iron Baron's so-called hunting party, that was our intent. Firstbourne unleashing her wrath in our stead was unplanned," explained Opollyon, relishing the turmoil in the mongrel's expression as it tried to make sense of his words and recall that ruinous night.

    "At least the Dragon Mother left some scraps for us to finish off," cackled an older Oni from the dark mass.

    Oases sneered to Heavy Metal who was growing more agitated, "If it is any consolation, your brother was among the few I had the enjoyment of executing. To the weakling's credit, he escaped Firstbourne's Fire, unlike Ozazel and his mate. A shame really. Iron Baron played his role wonderfully. And it would've been far more pleasurable to sink our blades into Ozazel like we planned."

    So many different thoughts swirled around Faith's perturbed mind. It had been so long since she dared to dig up such memories. Her voice came out in a hushed, defeated tone. "Why?"

    "Why?" repeated Opollyon, looking surprised by seemingly obvious question. He pointed his gnarled staff at her. "You, mongrel, are proof why Ozazel needed to be eliminated. Not only did he turn his back on his kind, he bred with a Hunter, the lowliest beings in this Realm!"

    Contempt burned in his and the other Oni's gazes and his words were filled with loathing. "He was soft, unworthy of being an Oni. We should've known he would turn just as his sister had. And now, you creep into our abode alongside a Dragon and Elementals?! It is proof you are an interbred abomination."

    Faith silently stood and glowered. An equal hatred to that of Opollyon's smoldered in her mismatched eyes.

    The marooned Ninja were lost at this point, not understanding who or what they were talking about. Family? Faith had never mentioned that before. Yikes. Whatever seemed to be going on appeared to be a very bloody, tangled web. Poor Faith.

    Also, Iron Baron collaborated with these guys, but claimed to hate them? Very odd. At least that explained Faith's fear of his power. Sure, Iron Baron could've been truthful about Firstbourne to fuel his Tribe's rage against Dragons, but by turning them against the Oni as well, it left Faith trapped under him.

    The Oni hated her because she was not purely one of them and part Hunter. The Hunters would hate her because she was half Oni. And finally, the Dragons despised her because she was both Hunter and Oni. It was a lose-lose situation all-round.

    Oases morphed into his Hunter persona and bowed before Opollyon. "My Darkness, let Heavy Metal slaughter the Dragon and Elementals to prove her strength. Then, I shall return her to Iron Baron and he will keep her til we have use of her."

    And that was the Ninja's cue to leave. Their Elements may have been inactive, but that didn't mean they couldn't fight. The Oni had made a fatal mistake in not shackling them sooner.

    "NINJAAA GOOO!"

    Ultra Dragon gave a feral cry, delighted that he could finally unleash his rage. Fire, Lighting, Earth, and Ice spewed from his four heads. He splayed his magnificent wings in a terrifying show of prowess. There was a reason the Hunters had dubbed him "Terror."

    He tested his wings for the first time in many years. Though he was in a weakened, malnourished state, he knew he was his Masters only chance at escaping, so he pushed his body to its limits. To his great joy, he gained height as his massive wings beat furiously.

    Cole was the first to notice Ultra in the air. He urgently pulled his team back. "C'mon! We gotta go!"

    The Ninja clambered on while skillfully fending off the Oni. With them onboard, Ultra made a break for the expansive opening in the ceiling of the cavern before Wu shouted, "We have to grab Faith!"

    Ultra rolled his eyes but looped back and made a low pass. Flame's jaws seized the Hunter, pulling her from the writhing mass of dark destruction. His wing muscles burned from the shock of suddenly being used and it was a fight to reach the open sky.

    The Ninja were uncertain when Ultra didn't slow his sharp ascent despite his clear exhaustion. But finally, relief came for the noble Dragon when he found a strong air current high above. They glided for a few minutes before the last of Ultra's strength gave out and they were forced to land.

    It was a rather sloppy touchdown. Multiple people ended up getting mouthfuls of sand and plenty of scrapes. They appeared to have landed in some sort of shallow canyon-like system. Plateaus with rocky, jagged walls lined the maze of corridors.

    The Ninja dusted themselves off and tended to Ultra Dragon who was too spent to move an inch further. Kai lit a makeshift torch and they all proudly commended their brave, dedicated steed. If Ultra Dragon's four pairs of ears weren't mistaken, he even heard the Hunter mutter out a word of thanks.

    Back in the Oni nest, Opollyon gained control of his forces, ordering them before they could change forms and pursue, "No! Let them go!"

    The Oni gnashed their teeth and grumbled, straining and yearning to destroy the escapees. No one could escape their darkness.

    Though Opollyon also desired to wipe them out, he would stay his hand for now. Oases was correct. He had seen the Half-Breed fight just now and as much as he loathed to admit it, the abomination held up despite displaying no Oni abilities whatsoever.

    The mongrel was a useful tool in their goal to slay Firstbourne, but he would not pour out his resources to hunt it. That was Iron Baron's duty to keep that interbred creature under control. Fortunately, the impure thing was not so nearly great a hybrid being as the First Spinjitzu Master had been, so it was an easier pawn.

    However, he was not so naïve as to let her roam free with Elementals. It was clear they had not stumbled into their abode by accident. They were searching for something. Perhaps it was the Dragon Armor? Though he did not fear them, there was someone among Elementals that had unsettled him, but he couldn't pinpoint which one.

    Just in case they did stumble upon something useful or put up resistance, he nodded to Oases and two other Oni, "Tail them."

    That accursed Dragon Mother would finally bend to their will once they uncovered her new hideaway and obtained the Dragon Armor. He snorted, too bad Iron Baron wouldn't be the one to don it as he had so pridefully assumed. Firstbourne would belong to the Oni and the Oni alone. Then, after growing tired of toying with her, they would savor putting a bloody end to the Dragon and her spawn.

    Omega was making slower progress in opening the gateway than expected, but Opollyon knew that their arrival was imminent. Besides, it gave them time to finish off the Mother of all Dragons. The First Spinjitzu Master's home Realm would be the first to fall to their shadows as would the Dragons before they crossed and conquered his beloved creation.

    Faith had sat herself upright in the sand but hadn't bothered brush the sand from herself. Somewhere in the frenzy, her hair had come undone. Now it cascaded across her face as she hung her head. Her expression remained impassive, but when she noticed Wu staring concernedly in her direction, something in her snapped.

    Wu let out a startled yelp as she lunged at him and lifted him by the collar of his shirt. Fury and hurt blazed in her eyes. She was this close to taking it out on him, but as she pulled back her fist to knock his teeth in, she just couldn't. Her arm shook as she willed herself to strike, but eventually, she let it drop to her side and relinquished her hold on the teen.

    The Ninja let out huge sighs of relief and rushed to check up on their de-aged Master while Faith stormed away, unleashing her rage against the stone plateaus that rose above them.

    As they watched her wildly beat the rocks, Jay sighed, "Ah, it's sad, really. She has a lot of pent-up issues to resolve. That's what can happen when you're born in a cruel world."

    "I'M A FOOL!" roared the Hunter, still pummeling the stone with her fists. She spat bitterly, "Of course Iron Baron is responsible for everything. I should've known. I should've run my blade through that liar's skull!"

    The marooned Ninja stood silently by, letting the Hunter vent until the fight finally left her body. Her swings slowed, and only then did Wu dare to approach with the Ninja close behind him. By now, her loud ranting had declined into furious muttering as her nails dug into the rock.

    The Ninja were at a loss of what to do.

    Cole nudged Wu and whispered to him, "So... uh. You got any wise Master words?"

    The teen seemed to wrack his brain before a determined look settled on his face. He actually didn't know what to do as he approached the Hunter. All he knew was that he wanted to help.

    The white-haired boy stepped forward to the Hunter who had her back to them all and... "I know where the Dragon Armor is."

    Woah, wait. Where'd that come from?! Well, now Wu had to roll with it. With only a gut feeling guiding him, he pointed to east, towards a barely visible range of mountains in the distance.

    Jay, Kai, and Zane appeared skeptical while Cole's eyes bugged out of his head. The Earth Ninja knew for a fact that the little teen had just lied. He bit his tongue to keep from calling him out right then and there.

    Faith was doubtful as well, but his words piqued her interest. She turned partially toward them and pricked an ear, showing he had her attention. She questioned warily, "How do you know?"

    Wu hesitated for a split second before, breaking out into what he hoped was an assuring smile. He tapped the side of his temple. "Memory rush."

    The Ninja squinted at the young teenager, trying to keep neutral expressions.

    The Hunter-Oni hated herself for being so desperate and starved for a glimmer of belief that she immediately latched onto the son of the First Spinjitzu Master's words. She turned fully toward the foreigners and focused her attention mainly on the white-haired teen. Her cautious side still pressed, "Are you sure?"

    "Yes," replied Wu, trying to keep his eyes from wavering and flicking nervously away.

    Though Faith still appeared uncertain, she gave a slight nod. Wu felt guilty at the relief and trust that seeped into her tone. "Good. Then we will leave at dawn. Thank you, son of the First Spinjitzu Master. This Realm hasn't been forsaken yet."

    Zane motioned to her bleeding hands. "Would you allow me to tend to your wounds?"

    Faith seemed confused by his offer and wary of it. Sure, her knuckles stung, but admitting or displaying any kind of weakness was just asking for trouble. "No, I'm fine."

    She shook her hands, sending droplets of blood from them.

    "Please, I do not want infection to set in," pressed Zane.

    The Hunter was once again surprised by the compassion in the Neen-jah's countenance, especially in the metal man. She couldn't understand for the life of her why they would care so much. She conceded and allowed the Ice Elemental to help, "Fine."

    As Zane led her out of earshot, he gave a knowing nod to his brothers, sensing that they needed to talk with teenage Wu.

    Kai was the first to chide their de-aged Master. "Woah, woah, woah. Excuse me! What was that?! Masters aren't supposed to lie!"

    "But—but I helped. Didn't I? She's not upset anymore," reasoned Wu.

    "Yeah, for now maybe, but now she's really going to punch you in the face when she finds out you lied," pointed out Jay.

    "Oh," said Wu, lowering his head guiltily.

    Cole had the face and tone of a disappointed parent. "Wu, you can't do that. Think about what's going to happen when we can't find the Dragon Armor. Faith's been lied to since forever. You saw what happened with the Oni tonight and that whole mess. Now you purposefully added to that web of lies."

    The young teen kicked the sand. His face burned with shame. "I'm sorry. I really thought it was the right thing to say."

    "It's not us you should apologize to," corrected Jay in a firm tone.

    Cole surprised himself with his own eloquence. "Sometimes the truth hurts, but it causes a lot less hurt in the long run than lying or hiding the truth does."

    Wu placed his hands over his face and sighed, "I'm never going to become a Master."

    Kai slung a comforting arm over the teenager's shoulder. "Not yet, but someday you will. We've got your back. The first step to being a great Master is when you mess up, you gotta admit it and make it right." He pushed him encouragingly in the direction of Zane and Faith. "You can do it."

    Wu gulped and summoned his courage as he walked forward. Well, now he had his first test trying to be a Master.

    Cole smiled, despite the troubling developments. "Y'know, if we raise Wu right, he might be an even better Master when he gets old again."

    "Imagine, no more secrets!" chuckled Jay.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Faith didn't want to admit it, but these foreigners, with their odd behaviors and strange ways, were actually beginning to grow on her. But they did chatter far too much for her liking. During their flight, they all started up some incredibly lengthy song about "tea." By the 997th verse, she was just about ready to throw herself off the Ice Dragon.
    From the group, she appreciated the Ice Elemental's quietness and common sense (though there were occasions where he became just as goofy as the rest). He was notably different from the others, yet melded seamlessly with their team dynamic.
    Zane piped up as he finished wrapping her hands, "You know, you are not weak by any means, and your bloodline does not define you."
    Faith was taken off guard by his comment. She remained silent and blinked in bewilderment, so Zane explained further.
    "Without you, I am most certain my brothers and I would have perished in this Realm. It took courage to help us, and we owe you our deepest gratitude. Protecting others, showing kindness, and being of 'impure blood' does not weaken a person."
    The Hunter crossed her arms and said bitterly, "Hah, tell that to this entire Realm."
    Zane's voice was compassionate and steady as he articulated. "True strength is found in the soul and spirit of a person, not in skill, muscle, nor blood. You have endured through much loss, suffering, and betrayal. That takes strength of spirit along with a great amount of hope to find a way to survive."
    Faith fell pensive, not letting out any reaction as she didn't know how to react to such a different perspective of her.
    The Ice Ninja sat there, allowing some time for her to digest his words before he couldn't help his inquisitiveness. He turned to a new subject of interest that had captured his notice, "If you do not mind me inquiring, who was Ozazel?"
    He could already hypothesize who that was, but he wanted to be certain. From the way Faith's whole body tensed and her eyes grew wide, it was clear that was a sore subject and not a question she had been anticipating.
    After a long moment of patient silence, she admitted in a barely audible tone, "He was... my father." She gave a hateful frown. "Apparently, Opollyon and Iron Baron are his true killers."
    Wu, who had just reached the two, gave a shocked gasp. Honestly, he had barely kept up with all that Opollyon was saying to Faith. All he picked up on from that confrontation was that the terrifying Oni hated Faith's guts.
    "They hated him because he abandoned his ways and fell in love with a Hunter," she spat.
    Zane placed a hand over his heart as he felt a pang of loss at his own love who was far away in Ninjago.
    She gritted her teeth. "I wish he hadn't. Then I wouldn't exist to put up with this mess."
    An all too familiar voice that made her hair stand on end cackled from the shadows, "Oh, you will truly wish you had never been born once we are through with you."
    A torch was lit, revealing the looming figure of Iron Baron with a dangerous grin etched on his face. On his right, stood a smug Oases, holding the torch. The rest of the Dragon Hunter Tribe had encircled the small band, pointing an array of deadly weapons at them. Hatred glinted in their ruby eyes.
    "Oh snap," gulped Jay, letting an arc of lightning spark to life in his fingertips. "We are so hooped."
I'm so sorry it's been so long since I've last updated! Life has been busy and crazy, but here I am! I hope you enjoyed this chapter. The next one will be a very... interesting chapter with our Elemental Masters. Please comment and vote.
Also, happy 11th birthday to Ninjago!
