It was a week since I got back. I loved my mother, she was kind and gentle.
My father apparently had died long ago soon after me going missing. It was sunny outside so I decided to go outside. I found a nice sunning spot l-and laid down on the warm stone. I laid there for an hour or two before Ganjui walked up to me. I sat up, allowing him to sit next to me. He wrapped his tail around mine and put his wing around me. I was glad to have him. He was my only friend. At least the only one around that is....
"Thinking of Deja?" He asked staring up at the sky. I nodded.
"And mom...."
We sat in silence for a while, both of us laying down, his tail around mine. I would've fallen asleep had it not be for a loud gong, symbolizing lunch. I do go hunting sometimes as does Ganjui but today we weren't on the hunting party.
"Race ya?" He said as he nudged me with his wing. I smiled and started a head.
"Hey no fair!"he yelled laughing.
We soon arrived at the castle and sat down on the moss mats that lay in three spots at one end of the long table. We ate until we were full. Then mother lumbered into her sleeping cave and I went down to the lake. Ganjui soon joined me and together we listened to the water and the birds chirping. The sun soon set bit the island was still lit with a bright light. And we soon discovered why. Above the island hovered a glowing white portal. All the dragons stared at the still light in the sky. Suddenly it flexed, contracted then flexed as it got bigger and bigger. Soon it was almost as big as the island. Then blue dots appeared as white dragons flew out. They started blazing fire, burning forest, fields and any huts, some of which still had dragons . The land was soon covered in fire.
'My dream' I thought. 'This is my dream.
"Mother!" I yelled as I ran towards her but a white dragon swooped and breathed flame inches from my face. Through the flames I saw her collapse as she was consumed by the fire. Time seemed to slow and sounds deafen.
"Mother! No!" I yelled.
As devastation took over I let out a roar, louder than any before. I launched into the sky ignoring Ganjui calling my name. I attacked the first white dragon I saw. I slashed it underbelly and blood poured out. I left him to flee as I attacked the next . When I finished with that one I heard a hissing sound. I turn to see a open jaw with the colors of flame glowing. I didn't have time to react but luckily Ganjui did. He barreled into the dragon nocking him off course. I then bit the other dragon on the  neck.
'Weird,he has no scales,only tough skin to look it'I thought.
He wailed in agony and flew for the portal. More of the white dragons did the same as other void dragons started attacking. We thought we were done but to my regret we weren't. I look over at Ganjui just in time to see a white dragon attack Ganjui. He tore Ganjui's wing , bit his neck and scrapped his underbelly before fleeing with the rest.
I dove for Ganjui. I fumbled with his tail as he fell though the air. He hit the ground with a thud.
I crashed next to him.
"Ganjui!" I yelled. He turned his head to me and said "I love you."
"Don't die!" I screamed at him.
"Goodnight and goodbye" he rasped as his eyes rolled back into his head.
"Noooooooo!" I screamed I then collapsed and passed out.

I woke the next day in my room with rain pouring out side.
"Was it all a dream?"
"No" a voice said.I whipped around to be face to face with Vernal. Vernal was the best, as you humans say, doctor around.
"Is Ganjui...?"
He nodded grimly.
"Nooo!" I cried.
"Would you like to be alone?" He asked. I nodded. He left closing the door. I stared at the window. Nothing was for me here. I opened my window. It was to small for dragon form so I morphed in to human form. (Ugg. Theres that cage again.) and climbed through. Once on the other side I morphed back and flew off. I didn't know where I was going but I kept flying. I looked at the badly burned forests below.
Then something caught my eye. It was shiny. I flew down to where it was. It was an egg . I tilted my head. I then heard a crack as the egg burst open. Out tumbled a blue dragonet
'Blue?' I asked myself. She was one of us, but blue.'huh?'
"Arrk?" It said. I looked around for another dragon but saw none. I sighed.
"I guess your mine now. And you will never meet your adoptive father but there's nothing we can do about that...Come along lets go. I said sweetly it stood up then sneezed from the cold and fell over. I rolled my eyes and picked it up. I carried it to my room and got in the way I got out. I lit the fireplace to warm the place up as I snuggled with the dragonet. I thought of the perfect name when a knock sounded on my door.
"Queen Serine!Come quickly!"
I opened the door. It was Desful. The messenger.
" Its Ganjui! He's awake and he won't stop saying ' Serine come back'"
My eyes widened. Ganjui was alive!? And he was calling for me!?
"Arrk!"
I scooped up the dragonet and dashed down the halls to the infirmary. I saw a dark purple dragon laying on a moss bed.Ganjui. I walked in and lay down next to him. I put my wing over him.
"Serine? Is that you?" He asked.
"Yes,yes it is" I said tears streaming down my face. Of joy and sadness. I was overwhelmed to know that he was alive but there was one fault in this happiness. He was blind. I could tel by his stance and his once golden eyes now a silver color with a hint of yellow.
"Arrk?"
"What was that?" Ganjui asked.
"That was Natalia, she was abandoned or orphaned so I thought I could keep her. I didn't know you were alive. But how does it sound? You and me as king and queen and her as princess?"
"Wait queen and king, you and me?"
" if you're up to it.?"i was scared it would be to much.
"Well i am!" He said as he played with Natalia. She's perfect. I may not be able to see but I can still feel and hear. And we are together.Thats all that matters.
