Training
ECLIPSE'S POV
I slept better the I ever had last night. It was miraculous. I dreamt of the moon and sun and the stars... and Mercury.
When I awoke, the sun was just peeking over the ground. Mercury was staring at the sky, the stars rapidly disappearing.
"Good morning," I smiled, stretching awake.
"Oh! Did I wake you?" Mercury asked hurriedly, the Umbreon's rings faintly glowed, fading back.
"No, calm down!" I laughed. I stretched out my tail, yawning. "Wanna head back to the cabin?" I asked, getting up.
"Sure, let's go see how Lily's doing," Mercury suggested as we both walked back to the cabin.
"Thanks for letting me stay, Mercury. I had fun." I said truthfully, smiling at the fellow eeveelution.
"Hey, no problem," Mercury beamed, and we both headed inside the log cabin.
When we went inside, we found Lily curled up in a ball to preserve warmth with a pink and white blanket on top of her.
I heard her muttering something, but I couldn't quite make out what it was. It sounded sort of like... "Mrcry... Mmcry..."
I felt a strong stab of jealousy as I realised she was saying "Mercury". I had no idea where it came from; it just did.
I whacked the Sylveon with my tail, and she jolted awake.
"What gives?" She snapped, rubbing her leg with her ribbons.
"Sorry," I mumbled, confused. Where had the jealousy come from?
"Do you wanna come train with us, Mercury?" Lily asked, stretching.
"Training?" The Umbreon asked, his gold eyes blinking curiously. "I mean, sure!" He shot me a quizzical look.
"Every day after breakfast, me and Lily go to the forest to train," I explained. "So far, Lily's been learning Moonblast, and I'm trying to learn Fire."
"I think I've learnt Curse and Shadow Shutdown, and I'm trying to learn Heal Bell," Mercury said.
I levitated the berries from yesterday to the table and hopped up onto one of the dark oak chairs. "Eat up!"

MERCURY'S POV
"Come on! Nearly there!" Eclipse exclaimed happily, her dual tail swiping by mine.
I smiled at her, and she giggled.
Lily swept passed us, her ribbons swivelling. She made eye-contact with me and, for a split second, she grinned at me.
I stopped, confused.
"You right, Mercury?" Eclipse asked, stopping too.
"Oh, I'm fine," I said, not wanting to worry the Espeon.
I glanced at Lily, who was now leading.
Why had she looked at me like that?
"Here we are!" Lily announced from ahead as she cleared the bushes.
We came to a massive clearing, a dome of trees protecting us from the sun (much to Eclipse's disapproval, I bet). where a bunch of oak trees' trunks had been burnt away to nearly nothing as a result of the Eeveelutions' assaults.
"Do you want to go first?" Eclipse asked me, smiling.
"Sure," I beamed.
I readied myself, making my stance wider and lowering my head.
"Umbreeooooooooooon!"
I called up a huge ball of velvety darkness I used my most well-known move: Shadow Shutdown.
I hurled the orb at the dark trunk of the tree and on contact, the tree shattered into splinters.
Me and Eclipse both used Psychic to repair the tree, while Lily sat there gawking.
"That. Was." Lily started, then stopped, slack-jawed.
"AWESOME!!!!!!!!!" Eclipse yelled, bouncing up and down.
"Thanks," I grinned.
Eclipse readied herself as I went back next to Lily to see.
"Espeeoooooooooooon!"
Multiple stars appeared from nowhere and launched themselves into the now re-assembled tree, making it snap and splinter apart instantly.
"Awesome!" I exclaimed, wagging my tail.
"My turn," Lily said slyly and walked to the tree, shooting Eclipse a look I couldn't read (which was rare, so I knew something was up).
"SylveeOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!" She screamed as out of nowhere, a gigantic burst of wind shrieked at the tree. Had it not been for Eclipse's Psychic shield over us both, we would have been blown away long go.
The tree was uprooted and was shot into far oblivion, far up into the sky.
For a second, it looked as if it would smash into the sun.
Then, it arched back toward land.
And that was when the chaos began.
