Gouenji Shuuya a.k.a Axel Blaze x Reader/ OC

I'll be putting her OC Riye Kira.

Kira was having dinner with her parents at a fancy restaurant. After talking, laughing and eating for a while, she felt the need to go to the bathroom.

Kira approached the bathroom, she noticed a bunch of girls in front of the mirror talking dreamily about something.

"Oh my gosh, did you see his spiky hair?"

"And his onyx eyes~"

"His voice too is so deep..."

The three girls sighed, hearts almost appearing on their eyes. Kira sighed upon hearing their conversation and muttered to herself, "The girls these days..."

As Kira went out of the bathroom after washing her hands, she bumped into a rock hard chest while she was trying to dry her hands. Warm hands wrapped around her ribcage, steadying her as she teetered. "Sorry," she muttered and moved to step back, her onyx eyes meeting ones of the same colour as hers.

Kira took a good look at him and noted that the guy was a typical popular guy around her age with an athletic body and he was probably the reason for the conversation of those girls. "Do you want a picture?" The guy smirked, amused.

Noticing that she was checking him out, she blushed and covered it up with a glare. "In your dreams." She exclaimed before she stomped back to her table.

The guy looked at her walking off with a small smile and turned back to his table thinking that it would be nice to meet that girl again.

Kira looked at herself in the mirror, adjusting the ribbon on her uniform. "Here we go. Off to a new school." She said to nobody in particular and headed straight to the front door, grabbing her lunch as she went.

"Goodbye dear!" Her mom's voice echoed in the hallway before she stepped out of the house.

Kira was walking on a white line on the way, she thought that it was fun. Feeling that it was too easy, she tried to take it to another level and jumped on one feet while still touching the white line and continued on bouncing on it. Smiling in triumph, Kira jumped out of the white line as it goes to an end but lost her footing and fell backwards. She forcefully closed her eyes, bracing herself for the impact on the hard ground.

"Ouch!" Kira yelled when she felt her back touching the... Wait... It was not the ground... The ground couldn't be that soft. She turned over and found none other than the spiky haired guy himself. Him, again?!

"You're heavy. Get off."

Kira rose up, red flowing to her ears. "I'm not heavy!" She then stomped away, embarrassed, telling herself that it was clearly not her lucky day. Kira suddenly stopped in her tracks, sweating profusely. Was he...? No... She turned around and scanned his uniform. She couldn't believe it, that arrogant guy was a student of her new school!

"Gouenji! Are you alright?" A guy with a soccer ball in his hands rushed to Gouenji's side and helped him up. "You can't get hurt right now! We have a friendly match today with Teikoku!"

"It's okay, Endou. I can play. Let's go."

Match? Teikoku? Was this guy a player of the Inazuma Eleven team? Kira had heard the name Gouenji before, Otonoha liked to talk about the skills of the soccer players to her over the thousands of phone calls they had had. Gouenji, the ace striker of Raimon Eleven. And the guy who said she was heavy.

"Kira?"

Kira turned around slightly before getting jumped on into a hug. Her eyes softened as she realized who that was, Haruna. "How are you doing?"

Haruna abruptly looked up, grabbed her arm and dragged her to the soccer field. "No time to talk, my brother is having a match with his ex-team!" She rushed me there just in time to see the boys warming up.

"Look! Aren't they cool? Inazuma Eleven is the coolest!" Otonoha jumped excitedly around, taking pictures of the boys with her camera always at hand.

Kira's gaze shifted to Gouenji who was shooting balls into the goal, the goalkeeper blocking it. She could see the force in his attacks and could not deny that she was impressed. Gouenji looked up, feeling her stare on him and locked eyes with Kira. It seemed like an eternity when they stared into each other's eyes.

"Kira! Help me with the bottles!" Otonoha cried over, bottles at her feet.

Kira broke the gaze, turning back to reality and trying to analyse what just happened. She shook her head and headed over to Haruna to help her. Her friend told her to give each one of them a bottle when they are given a break. Kira suddenly felt uncomfortable, standing there with nobody around, Otonoha going off to do her stuff. None of the other managers seemed to be here either. She looked down and took a deep breath, not noticing the ball that flew straight towards her.

"Out of the way, girl!"

Kira looked up and froze, watching as the soccer ball seemed to come straight towards her in slow-motion. A guy came in front of her blocking her view, jumped and kicked the ball away from Kira, all in a fraction of a second. Kira unconsciously released a sigh of relief.

"Are you alright?" The guy looked over at her, a hint of worry in his voice. Kira's eyes widened as she realised who just protected her and it was Gouenji. Her eyes shifted down, noticing a bright red colour on his right knee flowing down.

"I'm alright, b-but you...!" Kira rushed to Gouenji's side and kneeled in front of him, scanning his knee. "We need to treat this immediately!"

"It's okay..." Gouenji said, his eye twitching while trying to move his knee.

"You can't! I'm taking you to the infirmary." Without giving him time to protest, Kira put Gouenji's arm on her shoulder and manage to bring him to the infirmary despite Gouenji's weight. She made him sit on a bed and went to fetch the medicinal kit since the doctor was not here. It was a bit hard for her to find as she was new, but she was accustomed to seeing those things as her mother was a doctor. She grabbed the necessary things and rushed towards Gouenji to treat his knee. "It will hurt a bit." Kira said while applying the solution gently on his wound.

Gouenji winced but the pain soon faded as he realised that Kira was applying really gently trying not to hurt him. Despite her calm and cool attitude, she was really warm-hearted. Feeling grateful to her, he asked, "What's your name?"

"Kira."

"Gouenji."

"I know."

There was an awkward silence, both bad at communicating. Kira stood up and put the kit back where it was. "It should be fine now. You should rest a bit, don't force yourself when playing."

Gouenji grabbed Kira's wrist and pushed her towards his chest in a hug subconsciously. "Thank you." He buried his face into Kira's brown hair and breathed in deeply, liking the scent of her shampoo.

Kira found it difficult to pull apart and had no intention to, instead she stayed immobile fighting the urge of hugging him back. "You're... Welcome."

"I don't know why but I feel like I should protect you more... But we barely know each other so why...?"

Gouenji seemed to be talking more than usual. Kira knew he did not talk often and realising that he was confiding in her, she felt that they were becoming close.

After this day, they've seen each other daily, Kira helping out the football team. Everyone could see that Gouenji and Kira were in love with each other, they went out on multiple date but had never taken a step further.

One day, they were alone together. Kira was watching Gouenji in awe as he was putting into practice his hissatsu technique. The boy stopped for a second, breathing heavily and wipping off his sweat. Kira rushed to his side and gave him his water bottle, noticing that he was off steam.

"You should rest a bit, Gouenji."

"It's okay. Thanks."

Gouenji drank all the water in one go and jumped in an attempt to perform his hissatsu technique 'Fire Tornado' but his leg twitched and all his remaining force left him in an instant as he fell down hard on the ground.

"Gouenji! Are you okay?" Kira hurried over to him, worried and scanned his leg as she took out a bandage which she was carrying and wrapped it around his leg. "This should do for now. You should rest now, stop forcing yourself. It's not good for your health."

Gouenji remained quiet. Kira found this weird since Gouenji usually replied or nodded. She stayed immobile, waiting for him to say something.

"Do you remember a few weeks ago, something like this happened?"

"Yeah."

"Why do I always hurt my leg in front of you?" He chuckled.

A light flickered in Kira's eyes as she saw the first laugh she had ever seen from Gouenji. It made her feel special that he was laughing because of her. "You laughed..."

"Yeah... It's weird. I usually don't laugh, but maybe it's because it's you that I can laugh."

They stared into each other's eyes, their chemistry so strong that it was hard to tear their eyes away from each other.

A bunch of footsteps was heard accompanied with a few laughs, Gouenji immediately grabbed Kira's wrist and rushed behind a tree, pulling her into his chest into a tight hug as he looked behind to assure that the couple of people did not see them. They walked past them and went off in a different direction.

Kira saw it strange that they had to hide. It was a public place after all. She was about to ask Gouenji when he looked at her and saw that he knew what she was thinking. Gouenji released her from his embrace.

"I actually can't train in this place at this hour, it is too late. But I really wanted to come here with you today, it is a special place for me. Do you remember this place?"

"It is quite familiar, yes."

"This is the place where I saw you for the first time."

"Really? I did not know that, I don't remember you."

Gouenji's lips curved into a smile and he gently pulled Kira towards him again, burying his face into her brown hair. "You were alone. I saw you practising soccer, I don't know why you are not playing now but I fell in love with your skills, with you. I think it is time to tell you this." He pulled apart, his hands on Kira's shoulders. "I talked too much for today. But I think those three words are enough... I love you."

Kira's hand flew to her mouth in shock. A flood of tears ran out of her eyes unexpectedly as she admitted between sobs, "I love you too."

Their lips grew close and they exchanged kisses that would make this day unforgettable.

This book freaking reached 35k! Are you kidding me? This is awesome, I am grateful to you guys, I never thought that people would read this book in the first place.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this and I got a lot of inspiration for this, it is the longest that I've ever written. I hope HolyEmpressKira like this as much as I do, she was waiting for this request to come, I'm sorry that it took so long, but in between studies and my busy life, it's quite hard to update. I have my exams coming soon, there probably won't be an update in October at all.
