I skip into John's room with a smile on my face.

"John" he looks up.

"Which one looks better pretty and safe or daring and gorgeous" I hold up two outfits.

"What's it for?" he asks

"Sam asked me out on a date to the fair" he raises his eye brow.

"Did he now?"

"Yes now which one?" he looked between the two.

"The first one, knowing you, you won't want to go overboard" he points to the first choice.

"thanks Johnny" I kiss his cheek. putting my things on his bed a go to the other side and collapse.

"So are you going"

"I was going to go with Sarah" I sigh

"Please don't start"

"I'm not. Look, it's obvious I don't like her with all the trouble she causes but no matter what I say you like her. I can't say one thing but then go do it. John you're like my brother, hell you might as well be. I don't want to see you hurt. You're number four and I can't bear to lose you."

"You won't"

"Just try and stay out of her photo's for me" he nods and I hug him.

The next night, I'm dressed in a stripped t-shirt, skinny jeans, boots with a cardigan and a beanie.

"John you ready?" I wonder walking into his room.

"Yeah lets go" I took his hand and we teleported to a part that wasn't covered with the towns people.

"Hey there's Sam" John pointed to the darts and I grinned.

"See ya" i kissed his cheek then skipped off towards my date. I waited till he was finished then covered his eyes.

"Guess who" he took my hands off and turned around.

"You made it"

"Of course I did, did you doubt me?" he joked

"No, of course not no" he spluttered

"Sam chill, I was joking" he nodded

"So what do you want to do?" he wondered

"How about you win me a giant teddy bear and we'll get a drink" he chuckled

"I'm not very good but I'll try" he pays for another round and I sit and watch him throwing the darts.

"Not a big teddy bear but" he handed me a snake and I laughed.

"Would you like me to try?" he shrugged and I paid. I threw the darts and hit all the balloons.

"Wow, that's embarrassing" my smile drops.

"I didn't mean too, I swear"

"Chill it was my turn to joke." I slapped his arm and laughed

"So what's the hottest attraction around here " I asked after he got us some slushies.

"The haunted hayride" he pointed over to where it was and i saw John go in with Sarah I saw a smirk appear on my face.

"How do you fancy scaring my brother and his date"

"Is that a wise idea"

"Trust me if you lived with him you would want to milk situations like these. So what do you say?" I bit my lip.

"Okay" we went in through the woods and I took hold of Sam's hand.

"Can I ask you something?" Sam brakes the silence. I stop and turn to look at him

"What do you wanna know?"

"Why me? i mean you could have your pick at any guy in school but you talk to me."

"You really don't see it do you?" I reply

"See what?"

"how great you are. Sam, I've travelled literally all over the world my whole life and I've never met someone as amazing, sweet, kind and a whole bunch of word that could come to mind. I really like you because your different and you don't care. That's what i see in you." I stepped closer to him taking his hands.

"I think about you constantly Sam" I whisper

"you do?"

"um-hum" our faces were really close now.

"I think about you constantly too, ever since you stuck up for me..."

"Shut up and kiss me" he did so and it was like nothing I've ever felt before. I was backed up against a tree. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed back. Finally we were getting somewhere. When I pulled away.

"You have no idea how long I've wanted you to do that" he smiles back

"Days. I didn't want to push you"

"Like you could ever be capable of that" We laugh

"Now as much as I would love to kiss you all night, I don't think the woods are the right place for it, let's scare my brother and then we can go" I pulled him along. We heard screaming and I began to feel like something was off.

"Hello? Was that really? Are you alright?" I was now on alert

"Let me go! stop it!"

"John" I mutter and let go of Sam's hand.

"Sam go?"

"Mags"

"I said go, go tell someone" I shoo him off the run to where I heard the scream. I just go there in time to see John jump up. I pull one off my brother and sending him into the tree's hits every branch on the way down I jump up and kick my legs out getting down of them and kicking them out.

"What the hell happened"

"They attacked us...one of them has Sarah" We ran off in search of her and saw a guy now coming back. I pinned him up against the wall shining my Lumen in his night vision goggles.

"Where is she?!" John yells

"It burns man"

"Where is she?" he repeated John shone his lumen

"She's at Sheppard Fall's! Dude, put me down. What is that?"

"You go I deal with this one" John nods and runs off. I kick the guy in the stomach and throw him to the ground before leaving. I stop far enough away and take a deep breath. I can't face Sam like this.

I stayed there for a while when my phone beeped.

Oh shit I ran through the woods and in seconds using my legacy I was outside Sam's house. John was there also.

"John, you got the same text?" he nodded

"John, Maggie. In here." I looked at John before we went inside.
