Unlikely savior

Imagine- Isabella gets attacked but someone unusual comes to her rescue.

It was around 7:00 in the evening, very quiet and not very many people out and about. The bright moon was illuminating behind the grey clouds, the air a little chilly
Ichabod and Katrina were in the living room, Katrina reading and ichabod looking out the window with his hands behind his back.

They were waiting for their daughter, Isabella to come home. She had decided to go on a walk in the woods, and she was supposed to be home in about 5 minutes.

Katrina looked up from her book, her eyes locking on her husband. "My darling, she'll be back on time. She always is." She reassured him as she stood up from her chair, setting her book down and making her way to him. She placed her hands on his shoulder and kissed his cheek, making him grin softly and placed a hand over hers.

"I know, my sweet Katrina. I just hope that she is alright." He said as he glanced at her before looking out the window once more. Isabella was very close to her mother and father, a little bit closer to her father. She was totally a daddy's girl.

Meanwhile in the woods, Isabella was not too far from home. She did feel cold, and rightfully so. But it was kind of her fault, since She didn't even bring a coat to keep her warm. And She didn't think it would be this cold out.

The orange and brown leaves crunched underneath her white boots, her arms wrapped around her shoulders, desperately trying to warm up. Her teeth chattered as she walked, the wind blowing on her skin and through her long, straight blonde hair.

"Why didn't I bring a coat? God, I'm so stupid..." she mumbled to herself, hoping that she would get home sooner rather than later.

Then there was a wolf whistle. She stopped walking and quickly turned around. There was an older man, but not too old. Probably around his 40s, short brown hair, green eyes, very suitable clothing and his back was propped against a tree trunk, his arms crossed over his chest.

"Well well, aren't you a beauty..." he purred , a creepy smile forming on his face as he slowly walked towards her. Isabella's heart began to race, her arms still around her shoulders.

"Who are you? And what are you doing here?" She asked and he just chuckled.

"Oh no need for names, my dear. The real question is, why are you out here in the woods, all alone? Don't you know that there are bad men in this world who prey on women like you?" He sneered, still smiling creepily and moving closer to her.

Isabella's breath hitched, her body freezing. She wanted to move, but she was growing more and more scared.

"G-get away from me..." she shivered, her eyes widening in fear. She had a feeling as to what this sicko wanted. And it wasn't a good feeling, not at all.

"Don't be afraid. We're just going to have some fun. Now, come here..." he took a few more steps forward and Isabella immediately smacked him in the face before taking off. But she didn't get far.

He caught up to her and grabbed her hair, yanking her head back. She yelled in pain as he grabbed her with his other hand and spun her around, pinning her to a tree. He still held her hair in his vice like grip , his face dangerously near hers.

"You shouldn't have done that..." he growled and before she knew it, he punched her in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her and making her hunch over. He shoved her to the ground, then immediately got on top of her, starting to tear at her dress.

She cried out in horror, trying to push him off her. But to no avail. "S-SOMEONE HELP ME!!" She screamed and he smacked her in the face, her head jerking to the side. Her cheek immediately started stinging and she could feel a slight bit of blood. He had scratched her with his nails.

"Shut up you stupid bitch!!" He yelled, her dress now completely torn and exposing her corset and undergarments. Her legs were on either side of him and he really wasn't being good at pinning her down. So she managed to bring her foot up and kicked him where the sun don't shine.

He hissed in pain and rolled off her, and she started crawling away. But again, she didn't get far because he grabbed her ankle and without wasting time, twisted it and she heard a snap.

She screamed bloody murder, tears running down her cheeks. He had broken her ankle. He got on top of her again, this time sitting on her back. She gasped for breath, since her chest was being crushed by his weight. He grabbed her arm and held it behind her back

"Oooh now we're gonna have fun..." she tightly closed her eyes, crying in pain and hoping it would end soon.

All of a sudden, he was pulled off of her and she immediately rolled onto her back, her ankle in serious pain. She managed to scoot back until she was resting against a tree, her hands holding her ankle

Her eyes opened and she saw the man being pinned against a tree by his throat, gasping for breath. The man in front of him had spiky Greyish hair, bright blue eyes, razor like sharp teeth, he had what seemed like some form of armor with a cape and he looked angry.

"P-please... d-don't kill..." before the creep could finish his sentence, he was stabbed in the heart with a sword, going through his body and pretty much keeping him impaled against the tree. He let out a gasp and then immediately went limp, his eyes and mouth still open.

The man turned around, low growls escaping his throat as he looked at Isabella. He made his way towards her and she whimpered. Who was this man and why did he save her?

"W-why did you save me? W-who are you?" She asked , her breath trembling as tears fell down her cheeks. The man stayed silent as he looked at the girl before him. Then his eyes trailed down and he saw a necklace around her neck. It was a gold chain with a heart charm. He reached forward and gently took the pendant in his hand.

"Isabella crane" is what it read on the front. He remembered that name. He looked back at her, noticing how cold she was. He reached behind him, took off his cape and then wrapped it around her body. While still staying silent, he gently grabbed her arms, wrapping them around his shoulders. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, the other one carefully sliding under her knees. He picked her up in his arms and she cried out in pain. He hushed her softly before making his way out of the woods.

Back at the crane house, ichabod was pacing back and forth, rubbing his hands together. It was 7:20 and ichabod and Katrina were worried sick. Their daughter hadn't come home yet and they were wondering why.

"Oh ichabod, why hasn't she come back yet?" She asked worriedly and ichabod stopped pacing, looking at his wife.

"I'm not sure, my love. She should've been back by now..." he said before making his way to the window. His eyes suddenly widened, his jaw dropping. No way, could it be? How is this possible?

"The hessian... he's back..." he muttered to himself and Katrina had heard what he said. She quickly stood up and they both made their way to the door, quickly opening it and standing on the doorstep in shock.

The hessian, aka the headless horseman was carrying Isabella in his arms. Ichabod came down the steps and rushed towards the pair, his own eyes watering. The hessian stopped in front of ichabod and gently placed her in her fathers arms.

"Oh you're freezing, Isabella..." he whispered worriedly as she clung to him, her teeth still chattering and her body shaking. Ichabod looked at the hessian, still in complete shock. Why did the hessian bring her back? What was he doing here?

"Thank you..." was all ichabod said and he nodded. Isabella looked at the hessian through half open eyes and whispered "thank you for saving me."

The hessian nodded again and turned on his heel before making his way back to the woods. Ichabod quickly made his way back inside the house, Katrina following him and closing the door. He carefully laid her down on the couch and instantly noticed her ankle was out

"We need to put your ankle back in place..." he said as he knelt down next to her. He knew it was going to hurt her but it had to be done.

Tears would not stop falling down her cheeks, her body trembling like crazy. She was traumatized at what just happened to her. "J-just do it... please..." she begged and her parents heart tore in two.

Katrina knelt down beside her, next to ichabod and stroked her hair, her other hand holding her daughters. Isabella squeezed her hand, her eyes shut tightly as ichabod placed his hands on her ankle and before she knew it, he snapped the bone back in place.

"J-JESUS CHRIST!!" She sobbed and ichabod looked away, trying not to cry. This was their little girl. What the hell happened to her?

After snapping the bone back in place, he left, then came back with bandages. He wrapped up her ankle and then took a good look at her. He noticed her dress was torn, revealing some of her corset. He averted his eyes to her face and noticed she had a couple scratches on her face with now dried blood. And he could see w bruise forming on her cheek.

"What happened?" He asked worriedly, almost above a whisper as Katrina quickly got up and got a bowl of water with a cloth. Ichabod grabbed a blue blanket that was Draped over the back of the couch then placed it over Isabella.

Katrina knelt down beside her once more, dipped the rag in the water and then very gently cleaned the cut. She hissed in pain, her breath shaky. But she managed to speak.

"I-I was coming home... a-and this man... he-he" she choked on her tears and ichabod took her hand in both of his, hushing her softly.

"Breathe, my cardinal... just breathe. We're right here." He reassured her. He, nor Katrina was going to leave her side.

Isabella sniffled as she held her fathers hand, Katrina placing the bowl and rag on the table before stroking Isabella's hair.

"H-he hurt me... h-he was going to rape me... b-but then I was saved by that... that man... h-he wouldn't speak to me but he saved me..."

Katrina and ichabod shared a glance before looking back at Isabella. "Honey, do you remember the story about how your mother and I stopped the headless horseman?" Ichabod asked and Isabella gave a small nod.

"Well, that was him. I don't know how he came back but..." he trailed off. He was a little confused as to how the hessian came back. But that didn't really matter. What was more important was the fact that he saved their daughters life. And for that he and Katrina were eternally grateful.

"Oh my sweet girl,.. we are just so grateful that he saved you and brought you back. We were so worried about you." Katrina spoke softly before leaning down and kissing her forehead.

Isabella was grateful as well. She thought she was going to die! But despite what happened to her, she was so thankful that he saved her.

Ichabod brought Isabella's hand to his lips and gently kissed it, rubbing her knuckles with his thumb.

Then Isabella, without trying to move her ankle too much, very carefully sat up and hugged her father, burying her face in his neck. "I-I love you so much... y-you and mama..."

He immediately hugged her back, stroking her hair as Katrina rubbed her back. "We love you too. We're so glad you're back home..."
