Part 25
You wrung your hands in your lap as you looked out the window of the shotgun seat of the black SUV. Jimin sat next to you at the driver's seat, with one hand on the wheel. It was safe to say that this car was more than a little awkward. After Suga and you both realized that a huge mistake had been made earlier that morning, he made you go with Jimin to the drugstore to pick up the morning-after pill. You were slightly annoyed that he made you go without him, but at the same time, you were kind of grateful that he wasn't here. You weren't sure whether you wanted to punch him or yell at him and you were pretty sure if he were here, you would be doing both.
When Jimin had been filled in, his face had gone completely red. It was like it was the first time he'd ever heard of someone having sex. And then he had looked at you and you wanted to crawl into a pit and disappear forever.
The conversation after you slapped Suga was more than a little awkward to say the least.
"Yeah maybe, but it only takes one to wear a condom." You hissed, watching as all the color drained from Suga's face.
"Fuck..." Suga whispered, pushing his hand through his hair. "You're not on... you know... the pill thing?" You gave him and incredulous look.
"Birth control? Are you serious? First of all, the fact that you assume I'm on it without even asking me is a problem in and of itself. Second, I have been with you for months now, and have you ever seen me taking pills every night?"
"Okay, okay... calm down, I'm sorry. I'm just... freaked out." Suga ran his fingers through his hair frantically, looking around in a panic. You clenched your fists and bared your teeth.
"You? You're freaking out? I'm the one potentially carrying a fucking baby in my uterus!" You hissed angrily, stomping on the floor. You felt your stomach twist uncomfortably. The idea that something living might be growing inside you at that moment...
"Shut up, not so loud." Suga grabbed your shoulder and looked over to the door that was still wide open. You watched, appalled as he quickly went back over to the door to shut it softly. You felt anger and annoyance creep up in your throat.
"Oh, are you ashamed? I'm so sorry for being such a fucking burden carrying your goddamn baby." You snapped sardonically as Suga made his way back over to you.
"We don't even know if you're pregnant. This could be a false alarm." He said, trying to sound reassuring. You were pretty sure he was trying to convince himself more than he was trying to comfort you.
"Yeah, well I'm not willing to take any chances. You need to take me to the store." You demanded, crossing your arms. Suga turned to you, a confused look on his face.
"The store? What are you going to get there?" He asked. You rolled your eyes in response.
"The morning-after pill. You really don't know anything about contraceptives, do you?" You really couldn't believe it. I mean, he was a gang lord of all things. And he didn't know about the morning-after pill? Maybe he wasn't as sexually active as you thought. You always assumed he slept with any girl who would throw herself at him, but maybe you had been wrong to judge him. now, he was sounding more like a high school teenager.
"Of course, I do. I just didn't expect... don't you want to talk about this?" Suga gave you a concerned look. You narrowed your eyes at him.
"Talk about what? Do you want me to wait? Because I need to take the pill now if we want to avoid... any chance of me being pregnant." You replied sarcastically, pausing in your words. You swallowed hard as Suga sighed and nodded his head.
"Okay, yeah sure. Take Jimin to the store." You looked up at him in surprise.
"What? You're making me go by myself?" Suga shrugged and walked back over to the door.
"I have stuff I need to take care of here." He said tersely. You gave him an angry, disappointed grimace.
"You're an asshole, you know that?" You snarled. Suga sighed and shook his head.
"You can swear at me or you can go get that pill." With that, he walked out of the room, leaving you alone.
You were still annoyed at him, but you supposed you couldn't blame him for wanting to pretend that this problem didn't exist. You just hoped you could get in and out of the store without drawing too much attention and it would be over and done with soon.
After what felt like a lifetime, Jimin finally pulled into the convenience store parking lot. He put the car in park and the two of you sat in an awkward silence for a few beats. Finally, you spoke up.
"So, um, I guess I'll go in and grab what I need. You don't have to come in with me." You swore, you were a saint sometimes. Giving Jimin an out of an awkward situation seemed a little too nice of you, considering that you were still angry with Suga.
"Okay, sure. I'll wait here." Jimin jumped on the opportunity to avoid the awkwardness. You sighed and climbed out of the car.
You walked inside the convenience store to see it mostly empty aside from a few people near the soda machines, and a teenage girl at the register. You gave the girl a polite smile and nod of your head and made your way to the feminine product section of the store.
You walked in and out of the aisles until you finally found the morning-after pill section. You stared at the dozens of different brands at a loss for which one to pick. You didn't want to pick the most expensive one, if there was a cheaper option that would work the same, but you also didn't want to buy a cheap one that wouldn't work. Oh, what you wouldn't give for a phone right now.
Finally, you picked a box that was on the expensive side, but it seemed safe enough. Just so you didn't seem like this was the only thing you came for, you also grabbed a box of tampons. Genius idea on your part, if you were on your period, then, you wouldn't need the morning-after pill, so if anyone saw you buying these two items together, then they would probably assume you were buying one of them for yourself and the other for someone else. Hopefully people would assume you were getting the tampons for yourself. One could only hope...
You walked up to the register, and in a momentary urge to appear normal, you grabbed a box of chocolates. You placed your items at the register and tried to avoid the teenager's eyes as she scanned ach of your items. She seemed bored and not all present, so you were pretty sure she didn't even notice what your items even were.
"That'll be 19.49." She said monotonously. You handed her the bills that Suga had given you before you left. She handed your change back and put your items in a bag.
Just before you could take them from her, a hand clasped on your shoulder as another one snatched out to grab your bag. You jumped at the sudden contact and whipped your head around to see who the assailant was. Your stomach dropped and your eyes widened in fear when none other than Alistair DesMoines' s face materialized above you.
"Hey babe, did you get everything?" His smooth, chocolatey voice sent shivers down your back and you felt the hairs on the back of your neck stand. You were frozen in fear as he gave you a kind smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"Thank you very much." He continued, turning his head to speak to the teenager. Then his arms snaked over your shoulders and he pulled you against his side. To anyone looking, it looked like an affectionate gesture between a couple. But anyone who bothered to look at your face and your body language would know how terrified you were. Unfortunately, there was no one here to notice.
"Come on, babe, we gotta get home." Alistair led you away from the register and towards the other side of the store, where another exit led out the other side of the parking lot. If you went out that exit, then Jimin wouldn't see you leaving. He would have no idea where you were.
You shook yourself out of your terrified stupor and immediately pulled against Alistair's grip.
"Let me go, right now." You ordered, trying to sound braver than you felt. Alistair chucked and tightened his grip, diggings his nails into your arm. You winced as he bent his head down to your ear.
"Don't struggle, sweetheart. If you give me any trouble, I'll shoot this whole place up and everyone inside. We wouldn't want that, would we?" You froze and rotated your head to look around the store. You saw three large men standing at each corner of the store, that you could only assume were Alistair's men. In addition, there were five other people, not including the teenager at the register. Alistair's men were poised and ready to kill all of them if you didn't cooperate. You were caught.
"What do you want with me?" You whispered, letting Alistair lead you into one of the aisles so you were now out of sight from the other customers in the store. You shivered as he latched his hand around your upper arm, hard enough to leave a bruise. You looked around frantically for anything to help you or draw attention to you so someone would know something was up. Alistair yanked on your arm, forcing you to look him in the eye.
"I underestimated your worth. Perhaps there is another way to get what I want from that lowlife bastard, Agust D." He said, smiling nastily.
"You won't get anything from me." You snarled. Alistair chuckled and his grip tightened even further. You winced and your hands reached up to try and loosen his grip on your arm. You could feel the circulation cutting off.
"Oh, I don't want anything from you. it's what I can get out of you." You clenched your jaw in both confusion and fear as Alistair grinned in delight.
"What items did you procure for us, babe? Anything interesting?" His taunted, watching as you seethed at the nickname. He peered into the shopping bag that he had still been holding in his other hand. He raised his eyebrows at the contents in the bag and your cheeks flamed.
"It looks to me like someone was a little... unprotected." Alistair's grin never faded as panic started to settle in your chest. You struggled against his vice-like grip, trying your hardest to get away from him. Alistair let out a loud laugh and released your arm for a split second only to throw it back around your shoulders to pull you into a side hug.
"I can't believe I actually scored Agust D's bitch!" He exclaimed, still chuckling. "Now, not only to I have something to hold over his head, but I have double the leverage!"
His face swam in front of you as he looked at you like you were the highly anticipated main course of a five-star restaurant.
"I have him right where I want him." Alistair continued to monologue gleefully. "I've got the woman he loves and his baby. This is perfect."
You were definitely panicking. You knew that if you got taken away by Alistair, you would most likely be killed. But worse than that, you might also get Suga, Jimin and the others killed as well. You had to do something to keep that from happening.
"He doesn't know." You blurted out. Alistair looked down at you curiously. "He doesn't know what I'm getting. He thinks I'm buying tampons." You rushed out. The lie was definitely believable, since you'd been buying tampons at the same time. You mentally applauded yourself for coming up with that one right on the fly.
"It doesn't matter. We can inform him of his... carelessness without any issues." Alistair's eyes glinted as he sneered at you. You swallowed hard.
"He won't believe you. And he won't give you anything for me. I don't mean anything to him." You said, trying to sound as believable as possible. Alistair laughed jeeringly.
"Well, I would argue otherwise. He seemed very keen on saving you the night you so deliciously tried to bait me." Alistair's eyes sparkled playfully, and your gut wrenched at the memory of that night. "I have to admit," He continued, bending his face close to yours. You turned away just as his lips grazed over your cheek. You shivered in disgust as the feeling of his hot breath on your face. "I can still remember what you taste like..."
You choked and felt bile rise in your throat as you turned away, coughing loudly. Just the memory of his lips on yours and the feeling of dread in your stomach was enough to make you nauseous.
"Enough chatter, we have business to attend to." He yanked you against you again, this time making sure that you were firmly plastered against his side. Then he started to leave the building. You had to do something, anything. If you left without leaving a trace, a trail, something, Jimin would think you'd run away. You had to let him know that you'd been taken. But how?
You felt around your person for something to drop behind you as a trail when you felt the cold metal of coins in your pocket. The change from the register. You grabbed the handful and as Alistair pulled you toward the back door, you started to drop a coin within a few steps of each other, each time coughing loudly and stumbling to cover the sound the coin made as it clattered to the ground. You turned quickly to look at your trail of coins just as Alistair pulled you out the backdoor and into the chilly spring air.
Alistair led you to a black car that you recognized from the raid. He opened the door and forced you inside the backseat, slamming the door behind you. You peered through the window, feeling your stomach churn with dread as the car pulled out. You felt tears well up in your eyes when you saw Jimin's car still parked on the other side of the lot. He was right there, but there was nothing you could do to make him see you.
I'm so sorry...

Jimin checked his watch again, frowning as he saw the little hand had moved another five minutes. It had been twenty minutes since Y/N had gone into the store. Jimin was pretty sure buying a contraceptive shouldn't take that long. Unless she was taking it in the store, which seemed like something she would do. If Jimin knew anything about Y/N, it was that she didn't like to show weakness.
Jimin waited another five minutes before he finally decided something must be wrong. He got out of the car and walked into the convenience store, looking around for a familiar young woman. Instead, he was greeted with a barren store with a teenager at the register. Narrowing his eyes, he made his way to the back of the store, thinking maybe she was in the bathroom. He knocked on the door to the ladies' room but heard no response. So, not before looking around to see if anyone was watching, he quickly opened the door and slipped inside.
"Y/N?" He called. He walked down the line of stalls, pushing each door open to see if she was in one of the stalls. Jimin's stomach dropped when she wasn't in any of them. He left the bathroom and started looking up and down the aisles of the store. When he finally reached the entrance again, he really started to panic.
Had she run away again? Had she been taken? Jimin was sure she wouldn't betray them again but... he had been sure of that the last time she'd betrayed them as well. Before he called Suga, he needed to be sure. He walked over to the register to talk to the teenager.
"Did you have a customer here earlier who was buying birth control pills?" He asked urgently. The teenager looked at him in confusion, obviously not giving a shit about her job.
"We get a lot of customers, I don't remember all of them, or what they buy." She said unhelpfully, turning away to inspect her fingernails.
"Hey, this is important." Jimin snapped, hitting the counter. The teenager jumped and gave him an annoyed look. "It was a young woman, about this tall, and she would have bought a morning-after pill box."
The teenager rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, she was here earlier. She left with her boyfriend." She said monotonously. Jimin's blood ran cold.
"She had a boyfriend with her? What did he look like?"
"I don't know, man. Tall, dark hair, called her 'babe'." The teenager then walked away, obviously done talking to him. Jimin's heartbeat sped up as his head started to spin.
Someone was with her, a man. Had he taken her? Or was it someone she knew? Had she planned to meet the man here to escape with him? Jimin knew she was smart, so he knew she definitely was capable with coming up with a plan like this, but was she capable of following through after all this time?
"Where did they go?" Jimin called out. The teenager glared at him and pointed to the opposite entrance from where Jimin was parked.
Jimin turned and started to make his way that way when he stepped on something. He paused and looked down, seeing a coin on the ground. He shrugged it off and started walking again when he noticed a line of coins trailing off toward the exit. He paused and started to pick the coins up as they led to the exit. He looked outside to see no cars or people out there. Looking down at the coins he had collected from the trail, he scratched his head in confusion. Why would there be a trail of coins lined up perfectly to lead out the entrance?
Then he gasped when it hit him. He quickly turned around and ran back to the register. He slammed his hands on the counter, causing the teenager to come out in surprise.
"What was her change?" Jimin demanded.
"What?"
"Her change, the woman's change. How much did you give her?" The teenager frowned at him.
"Um, I don't think I can—"
"Now!" Jimin yelled, hitting the counter again, this time losing his politeness. If he was right, he didn't have time for a moody teenager. The teen jumped and gulped, quickly going to her computer. She typed a couple of things and printed out a receipt. She handed Jimin the piece of paper, that he snatched away from her.
He looked down at the receipt and matched the amount of change he had to how much was on the receipt. When they matched, Jimin bared his teeth and stormed out of the convenience store, pulling out his phone. He threw the car door open and sat down, turning the car on. He was buckling his seatbelt when Suga finally picked up the phone.
"Suga, we have a big problem. It's Alistair. He took Y/N."
