Part 22
You woke up to the smell of something sweet. You rolled over and inhaled a big breath through your nose before sitting up and opening your eyes. You looked around the room and saw that you were alone in the new bedroom that you still didn't recognize from last night. But there was no mistaking that smell. Waffles.
You felt a dopey smile lift your cheeks and you pushed the covers off you and placed your feet on the floor. You stood up and groaned. You were sore in your arms and legs from the abrupt exercise you had had yesterday after a week of nothing. You rolled out your neck and stretched your limbs, wincing at the little pricks of pain in your joints. Finally, you left the bedroom and looked around the new house. There was a staircase that led to a lower floor and another few rooms in a hallway to your left. You supposed that this must have been new housing that the boys had found while you were at the police station.
You followed your nose and made your way down the stairs, pulling your tangled hair back into a bun to make yourself look at least a little presentable. You followed the smell into a small kitchen and looked around to see Jungkook and Suga sitting at a table. Jimin was at the stove, cooking something in a pan. When you walked in, the boys looked over to you, like they had telepathically sensed you. You swallowed and avoided Suga's dark, piercing gaze, and instead opted to look at the floor.
"I, uh... hi?" You said, making it more a question. You heard a clatter and looked up as Jimin approached you. He grabbed your shoulders and pulled you into a hug. You sighed in relief as his arms provided enough words than could ever be expressed between you two. He was so glad you were safe, he was so proud of you, he was still your friend after everything that had gone down.
"You have no idea how good it is to see you finally back with us and on your feet, little firecracker." Jimin said, squeezing you a little tighter. You let out a small sardonic chuckle.
"You guys aren't getting rid of me so easily, are you?" You teased.
"You can bet the hell we aren't." Jimin released you and stepped back at the sound of Suga's voice. He stood up and smiled as he made his way over to you. You had a mental flashback of the night before when his hands had been on your body. What you would give to have his hands on you again, in other places...
"Y/N?" You blinked and looked back at Jimin, a blush fitting over your face. "Are you hungry?" You nodded vigorously, trying to cover up your inappropriate thoughts. You snuck a peak at Suga, who was studying you, expressionless. You gave him a small smile and he returned it as you made your way to the table. Jungkook stood up, offering you his seat. You smiled at him and took his offer.
"Thanks." You said. Jungkook nodded and put his hand on your shoulder.
"It's good to see you." He said sincerely. Your eyebrows shot up as you watched him walk away.
"Wow, I never thought I'd hear that in a million years." You said out loud before you could stop yourself. Jungkook paused and turned back to look at you. You were relieved to see him smirking.
"What can I say? I guess you grew on me."
"I'm flattered."
He shook his head, still smirking, before he winked at you and turned to leave the room. Jimin rounded the table and placed a plate of waffles in front of you. You had to keep yourself from drooling as you snatched the fork from him and dug into the meal.
"I'm going to check on... some things." Jimin said vaguely before retreated from the room suspiciously quickly. You turned to look at Suga, who was studying you meticulously, and felt a slight blush rise to your cheeks. You swallowed and quickly stuffed another piece of the waffle in your mouth. Suga let out a soft breath and sat up straight.
"How are you feeling today?" He asked, leaning back to cross his arms. You swallowed and put your fork down, trying to at least have a semblance of dignity.
"Much better. A little sore, but definitely happy to be out of that cell." You lifted your mouth into a smile, but Suga didn't return it. Instead, he looked down and you saw a fire of turmoil in his eyes. Confused, you sat up straighter.
"What's wrong?" You asked in concern. It was still weird, feeling concern for him. You weren't sure if you ever get used to it.
"Why did you run?" Suga's question caught you totally off-guard. It took you a few seconds for the question to really process and you still didn't understand what he was asking.
"What?"
"During the car chase. Why did you run?" He repeated the question and you felt your face pale. You pursed your lips and looked away.
"Because... because I had to. There wasn't any time and I knew I had to destroy the tracking device." You knew you were scrambling, but it was the only explanation you could think of. That had been the reason, you knew it, but at the same time...
"You didn't have to destroy it. You could have left it there. Or even better, you could have destroyed it by stomping on your laptop and phone." Suga retorted calmly. You looked up at him to see him studying you. he was gaging your reaction.
"That's... I don't think..." You were stumbling, you couldn't focus. Maybe it was because you were still delirious from dehydration and exhaustion, but you couldn't seem to get your thoughts in order. It was still unclear as to what he was really asking.
"Why did you really run?" Suga asked again. You blinked and shook your head. You looked up and felt your mind clear. That day, you remembered very clearly now.
You knew that even though you had been helping the gang, you still weren't truly associated with them. As far as the police were concerned, you were just a hostage at that point. It was when you decided to run with the bag that you decided on your loyalty. You were loyal to yourself first, but also to them. So, you killed two birds with one stone. You destroyed the tracking devices and escaped from the gang all at the same time.
"Are you seriously questioning my loyalty now? After everything that happened, you still doubt me?" You put the fork down and sat up, your eyes narrowing. Unfortunately, you knew that today you weren't going to be your usual defiant self. Suga knew this.
"No, but I still think you're hiding something." Suga leaned forward and placed his hands on the table. You looked down at those hands and felt your blood chill slightly.
"Yeah? And what the hell could I be hiding now?" You snapped, trying to feign at least some of the strength you used to have. Suga narrowed his eyes and sat up, crossing his arms.
"How about the fact that you know my real name?" He retorted easily, like he was waiting for you to ask the question.
Your breath caught in your throat and silence engulfed the room. You gulped and you could feel your face visibly pale. You had kept this secret for as long as you had known them. Was it about to exposed now after all this time?
"I-I can't... I don't... please..." You felt tears well up in your eyes. You knew that if this secret came out now, after everything you had put them through, good and bad, it wouldn't be good for anyone. Suga's brow furrowed.
"Why can't you tell me?" Suga asked, clearly confused and concerned. You swallowed and forced yourself not to let your voice shake.
"Because... because if I do... you'll never look at me the same again." You failed as your lips trembled. You knew you weren't making any sense. And you blamed your still slightly delirious mind for the limited control on your emotions. You almost never cried, not in front of him. Not in front of anyone.
"You know who I am. No matter what terrible things you've done can compare to mine." He said, shaking his head in confusion. He was truly trying to figure you out. He truly cared. That made you all the more anxious about him finding out the truth.
"This doesn't have anything to do with that." You said vaguely, looking away from his scrutinizing gaze.
"Then?" Suga raised his eyebrows expectantly.
You hesitated. Maybe it would be okay if you told him. maybe he wouldn't be angry and he would understand. He already knew half of the truth anyhow. Was there really harm in filling in the blanks?
"I..." You began. Suga tilted his head. "I can't..." you turned away and quickly wiped the tears away from your face. You were normally never this emotional, you blamed it on the exhaustion.
You couldn't let yourself be coerced by your feelings for this man. It was true, you felt something for him, whether it was a good or bad thing you couldn't tell just yet. But you knew that you were in no place to trust him fully. Not yet anyway.
Suga sighed, but he didn't look exasperated.
"You know there was time that I would beat the answer out of you." He said softly. You felt a twinge of panic, but it vanished as quickly as it came. He would never do that now. Not after everything that had happened. At least... you were pretty sure he wouldn't.
"Yeah, I know. And I still wouldn't give it to you." You said, your voice cracking. Suga glanced at you and a soft smile fit over his lips.
"That's true." He acknowledged. You returned his smile and returned to your waffle.
When you were finished, you followed Suga back into the bedroom that you had been using. You walked over to the dresser and ran your hands along the smooth wood, pretending to inspect it for dust. You heard the door close behind Suga and you turned back to face him as your heartrate increased. You weren't entirely sure how to act around Suga now.
After your conversation, you knew that Suga still didn't fully trust you. Even after all this time, after everything you'd been through together, he didn't trust you one hundred percent. And even though you had been gradually warming up to him, even you didn't trust him one hundred percent. Even after everything you'd been through with him, nothing would erase the pain that had been inflicted upon you from that man. And even though you were starting to get used to being vulnerable around him, you were still anxious that one day he would turn on you. It was the reason you couldn't trust him with one hundred percent of your past.
"We still have your clothes. Your bag is in one of the boxes. We didn't really have time to unpack everything. This was kind of a last-minute hosing arrangement." Suga said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. You nodded, swallowing.
"I understand, thank you." You were surprised at how formal your voice sounded. Suga's eyes met yours and suddenly, you were reminded of the events that had occurred the previous night. You were reminded of his hands gently gliding over your skin and the way his eyes seemed to glisten a few shades darker as he washed you. You remembered looking at his lips and begging mentally for him to kiss you. Now that you looked at him, that same desire returned. It was obvious at this point that the tension between you two was purely sexual. And you wanted nothing more than to break it.
"You know, we never really had the chance to talk about what happened... before the car chase." You said, wrapping your arms around yourself. Suga narrowed his eyes and frowned, like he couldn't remember what you were talking about. Then his eyes filled with understanding and he looked away.
"Yeah well a lot has happened since then." Suga said quietly, looking anywhere but in your eyes. You pursed your lips and looked down.
"It feels like a million years ago." That was only partially true. You remembered the kiss like it had happened only minutes ago, but at the same time because of everything that had happened between then and now, it did feel like a lifetime ago.
"Do you remember what you said to me after it happened?" Suga said, drawing your gaze back to him. He was giving you an undecipherable look. "You said: 'you shouldn't have done that'."
You swallowed as the memory came back to you in full force. You remembered exactly what you had been feeling in that moment. Fear, confusion, regret. You remembered that you hadn't yet decided if you wanted to truly be one of them yet. of course, that decision had to be made a lot quicker than you had anticipated, but you did remember that at that point, you were still leaning toward escape.
"You said those words, so I assumed you still meant them now. That's why I couldn't... why I didn't overstep any boundaries last night." Suga continued. You looked up in surprise. Last night?
"Last night..." You said, your voice barely above a whisper. "I never said anything about last night." You saw a muscle in Suga's jaw twitch, but his expression didn't waver. "Were you... did you want to?"
Suga gave you a long stare, before sighing.
"I don't know how you want me to answer that." He admitted. He sounded genuinely confused and lost. You took a few steps toward him, for the first time feeling real indignation.
"I want you to be honest." You exclaimed. "I'm the one with everything to lose here, Suga. If this isn't what I think it is, then I'm the one who will pay the price. You can't expect me to be the first one to roll the dice."
Suga looked up at you and you saw something dark and burning in his gaze. If you weren't already a little riled up yourself, you might have been a little scared. He stepped forward, closing the distance between you two by another foot.
"You know, I haven't forgotten the very first things you said to me when you first came here." You swallowed as he looked down at the floor. "You were so... angry and terrified at the same time. Terrified of me and what I could do to you. And there are so many things I can do to you." The last sentence came out husky, almost like a growl. You felt shivers run down your spine, but not in a bad way. You decided in that moment to try something. It was now or never, and you were sure you wouldn't get another opening.
You stepped forward, closing the distance between you two almost entirely. Your face was so close to his that your noses nearly touched. You heard Suga inhale sharply, but he didn't step back, like you might have expected him to. Instead, his head tilted, and he leaned down.
"What kind of things?" You whispered, your lips a mere breath away from his. Suga's tongue darted out and moistened his lips so they were now shimmering. Your teeth closed around your bottom lip as you stared right at his lips.
"I don't think you want to find out, little firecracker." His tone matched yours and you glanced down to see his hands twitching at his sides. He was resisting the urge to touch you. You moved your own hand forward to brush your fingers against his.
"Why don't you let me decide that for myself?" You tilted your head up and looked up into his stormy eyes. "I'm all yours."
Suga shuddered and closed the distance entirely, pressing his lips against yours. You sighed in relief as his lips pressed urgently against your and his hands latched around your waist and arms. You felt almost dizzy and he started to push you backwards, his hands moving up your waist and around your neck. He lifted and moved your chin to match the kiss, opening your mouth and moving his tongue perfectly in sync with yours. He was in complete control and you were loving it. You let a small hum of satisfaction as you pushed your hands through his hair.
His hands slowly trailed from your face down over your curves and settled on your butt, squeezing softly. You felt him smile against the kiss as his lips seemed to press more urgently against yours. It was impossible to pull away, even if you had wanted to. He was intoxicating, his lips were captivating, and you were in a complete trance.
Somehow you ended up on the bed. You couldn't really remember how you got there, all you knew was that Suga was on top of you, ravishing you with his lips. You could feel yourself getting more and more excited as a tingling sensation below your hips started to make you squirm. Suga's lips trailed off from your mouth and attached to your neck, allowing you to make the sounds that he had previously been silenced. When he found the spot where your pulse was racing, you let out a pretty loud, embarrassing moan. That sound only seemed to fuel his aggression as he started to use his teeth to make marks in your skin.
His hand moved over your waist and onto your stomach. He started to lift your shirt up and you gasped at the sudden coldness of the air on your bare abdomen. You arched your back as he pulled your shirt up further, before lifting it over your head completely. His lips pressed along your neck and collarbone and you gasped when you felt one of his hands splay along your waist, teasing the hemline of the basketball shorts. You lifted your legs to wrap around his pelvis, and curled your fingers in his hair, sighing in pleasure as his mouth explored your chest.
He lifted his head back up so he could kiss you passionately. You felt lightheaded as you allowed him to dominate you with his kiss. He was in complete control over you. he could do anything he wanted, and you would let him without complaint. You would let him do whatever he wanted to you, no matter how sadistic and you would offer no protest. You wanted him.
"What do you like?" You heard him whisper through the kiss. You hummed, his question not really processing. You rain your fingers over his shoulders and over his back as his fingers slipped under the waistline of your basketball shorts.
"Y/N..." He whispered, in an almost sing-sing voice. You moaned, scrunching your eyebrows together. "What would you like from me?" His mouth left yours and he ducked towards your ear, kissing the side of your head in between words.
"I-I don't understand..." You replied, barely able to speak at all with how light-headed and excited you were.
"Tell me what you want." Suga repeated, moving down to your neck to pepper kisses.
"I... I want you to touch me." You whispered. You felt him grin against your neck, running his hands along the curve of your waist. "I want your mouth on me," You continued, feeling more and more emboldened as you felt a certain something begin to harden against your pelvis. "I want you to make love to me..."
Suga sat up when you had uttered those last words. He looked down at you with the most possessive gaze. His eyes were two shades darker than normal and his mouth was pressed into a smooth line. The corers of his mouth lifted as he looked down at your half exposed body.
"Your wish is my command..."
