"What was that?" Fang asked. He was taking Tan to the police station, when he heard his phone ringing as a message arrived. Tan picked Fang's phone and read the message out loud, saying that Fang was needed at the hospital because of another doctor who couldn't come to work. Fang sighed heavily, and continued driving.

At first Tan didn't say anything, thinking that Fang would have taken him back home before going to the hospital, but despite reaching several points where they could just go back, Fang didn't seem to change direction. Tan was getting more and more confused, so he eventually asked him what he was doing.

"I'll drop you at the police station, so that you can tell them what happened. You can go back home by bus. If you didn't bring any money with you, take some cash from my bag" Fang answered as he kept driving. Tan remained silent for the rest of the ride. When the car stopped in front of the building, he got off, waved at his boyfriend and walked past the policemen guarding the door.

Fang finally reached the hospital. He tried his best to focus on his job, but this proved more and more difficult as time went by. After a few hours, he went to the vending machine to clear his mind for a minute or two. He took his phone and called Tan. When he beloved boyfriend finally picked up, he asked him how it went with the police.

"It... it was terrible..."

"I know, I've heard it can be pretty difficult, but you must trust the law. They will find him and make him pay"

"They didn't believe me... Fang..." Tan replied as he started crying.

"What do you mean? Tan? Tan, talk to me"

"Nobody believed what I said... everyone just made fun of what I told them... they said that it wasn't possible and that I probably just misinterpreted the signals... I... I shouldn't have done that... it was a mistake..." Tan explained. When Fang dropped Tan at that building, Tan wasn't really sure about going there and tell the police what had happened. How could he convince them to take action against someone like Mark?

"Tan, listen... we will go to another police station... I will come with you this time and force them to do something" Fang replied resolutely.

"I don't want to... please... I felt so... so... can we just pretend all this didn't happen and go on with our lives? I can refuse the offer... I'm not a genius in my field but I'm sure that someone else will hire me... don't you agree?" Tan added.

"I... alright... we will do as you wish..." Fang replied and after talking with him a little more he hung up.

"You look like someone who could use some help..." a young man sitting in the corridor said after overhearing the entire conversation.
