Y/N POV

After a few days of getting to know Zakum, we started training together like partners, and it's so nice to have someone to train with. It's also felt nice to have a friend.

Right now we were practicing shooting targets. Zakum just shot all the targets with his new weapon I gave him.

Y/n: "Impressive."

Zakum: "Thanks."

He was getting better at using a rifle then I have when it comes to using a bow and arrows. I rather stick with the weapons I know how to use.

Even Soxs agrees.

I made him a combat suit in which is some what similar to my suit. It only took me like a few hours to make with the help of soxs. His suit had some similarities to mine, like a wrist communicator, and camouflage button. At first Zakum wasn't comfortable in it but after a few minutes he got used to it.

Our bond started to grow stronger. Never would I have thought I would be friends with an alien or even befriend one. I wanted to try something new with my new friend. That's when an idea popped in my head.

Y/n: "hey want to head out?"

Zakum: "Yes."

This could help us grow a little bit. We grabbed our gear and headed out with soxs. following us behind.

Timeskip

When we got a good distance away from the base. We went for a test run, I wore my suit and Zakum wore his, and we both had our weapons with us. We ran through the trees, Soxs was attached to my back with a magnet so he wouldn't fall off.

It was kinda fun spending time with Zakum.

He was so full of energy, he knows the way of the forest more than me, but he is teaching me on the way, I was almost having a hard time keeping up with him.

But he has yet to realize, I'm a space ranger, and I'm fast when it comes to running. I ran and flipped up into the air straight past and laying in our branch. He stops himself from leaping to the other branch.

Zakum: "HEY!"

He was shocked at how fast I was able to do that. I just smirk at him.

Y/n: "What do you think of that?"

Zakum: "You Skxawng!"

At first I did not know what that meant, but when I read some Na'vi language I translated it, it means moron so now I know what it means, and it really doesn't phase me.

After a while we took a break and just walk. Zakum began talking about the forest and teaching me a lot about it. He started telling me how the forest was alive and how you can feel it. I read that the forest was the home of the Na'vi and they would do anything to protect it.

I mean who wouldn't want to protect their home?

During our walk I'll let Soxs down so that he could walk with us. He stay quiet and listen to Zakum talk most of the time.

While we were walking we heard a noise from the trees. We both stopped dead in our tracks. All of a sudden a creature came out from the trees and landed right in front of us.

It let's out a huge roar when it lands.

Y/n: "HOLLY SHIT!"

Sox screams and hids behind me.

I was about to reach for my weapon but Zakum stopped me before I even could lift my arm.

Zakum: "Don't...."

Slowly I put my hand down, he then walks up to the creature, the creature notices him and looks at him before it lowers its head to him. Then Zakum pets the creature and it seems happy to see him.

This creature must have recognized him.

Zakum: "It's good to see you."

Y/n: "What is that thing?"

Zakum: "This is Suko, my ikran but you humans call them banshees."

Y/n: "Interesting...."

He then climbs up on the banshee. He then looks at me

Zakum: "What are you waiting for?"

I was confused.

Y/n: "What?"

Zakum: "Get on."

Sox: "Ah what?"

This dude wants me to get on that thing?

Y/n: "You want me to get on that?"

He nods. This is going to be a very interesting friendship.

I carefully picked up Soxs and put him back on my back. Slowly I walked up to the banshee, it just watched as I slowly up to it, when I was fully on

Y/n: "Okay now what?"

Zakum: "Hang on."

Sox: "Hang to wha-."

The banshee took off into the air before Sox could finish speaking. Quickly I wrap my arms around Zakum as soon as we take off into the air.

Y/n: "WOAH SHIT!!!!"

The banshee flew very high into the sky. I had my arms wrapped tightly around Zakum's waist for support.

Once the clouds cleared, we were flying above the forest, we then flew up to what appear to be floating mountains.

Zakum knew how to control the banshee so he was probably telling him where to go.

He then flanks to the right, getting a good view of the floating mountains,

Then we flew next to a waterfall which was kind of cool to see in the air.

My planet wasn't as nearly as beautiful as this one. The view up here was amazing.

Sox was enjoying the wind blow against his fur. I sure hope he was recording all this because I would love to watch it later. I had to admit this was way better than my homeworld. Zakum looks back and noticed me admiring the view.

Zakum: "What do you think?"

Y/n: "This is amazing!"

Sox: "I agree!"
