Chapter 16

Tubbo wasn’t expecting to wake up to loud clacking. He sat up on the couch quickly and looked at his desk, which had been tidied up and had Ranboo sat at it using his laptop. The laptop he wasn’t allowed to be on.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Ranboo’s fist clenched and he turned to look at Tubbo. He looked furious, which is something Tubbo wasn’t used to seeing on him.

“Finding out what you’ve been doing on here. Who is this person and why are you talking to them about us? Because you didn’t talk to either of us about it, and it’s really an invasion of privacy. They don’t need to know our skill set.” Tubbo got off the couch quickly and ran over to the laptop, checking the tab Ranboo was on. He clicked out of the tab and the laptop showed Tubbo’s suit plans. Tubbo slammed the laptop shut and ripped it off the desk.

“Don’t go through my shit. This is a possible sponsor, ok? Nothing you need to concern yourself with.” Ranboo stood up from the desk and held his hand out, demanding the laptop back.

“You’re talking to someone about us as vigilantes. It is for me to concern myself with. If it was just you, fine. Do whatever you want. But you have no right to talk about Tommy and I without our knowledge.” Tubbo glared at Ranboo and Ranboo sighed, then picked up a glass off the desk and chucked it at a wall. Tubbo flinched and stared at the shattered glass in shock.

“Stop talking to that person. Or I’m done.” Ranboo left the apartment, and left Tubbo to clean up the mess.

“Ok, I sent out the memo. Every vigilante should be coming here tonight.” He hummed and tapped his nails against the large round table in front of him.

“Good work Aristo. Would you mind inviting neutral villains as well? We want them all in one place.” Aristo grinned and nodded.

“Of course boss. Do you have a list like last year?” He nodded curtly and reached into his robe, pulling out a small paper from one of his pockets. He handed it to Aristo and the cat hybrid looked over it.

“Surely you don’t want to invite Hangman. Remember last year? He ruined the whole thing.” He growled lowly and Aristo bit his tongue.

“Since when do you question my judgement?” Aristo looked at the ground and curled his hands into fists.

“I don’t, sir. My apologies.” He sighed and smiled sweetly at Aristo.

“Good. Now, get going.” Aristo nodded and left the room.

Hey, have you gotten a message from 293-746-3495?

                                    No?

That’s weird.

                                Yeah no shit

Don’t curse at me today

                               Why the fuck not?

                                Read at 1:45

Tommy threw his phone to the other side of the mattress and huffed in anger. Ranboo was acting weird and apparently some rando texted him that made Ranboo text Tommy.

“Everything good?” Tommy looked at Themis, who was on the couch reading. Very disinterested in anything Tommy was doing.

“Fine. Roommates being a bitch.” Themis hummed and Tommy’s phone buzzed. He picked it back up and saw he got a message from the same number Ranboo asked about, telling him to go to an address in suit at 11pm. Tommy smiled and looked at Themis. He’d have to get away from them if he were to go to that address, but if Ranboo got the message too then it’d be worth it.

                  New message from Box
Hey boss man, did you get a text from a random number?

Tommy clicked on the notification and began typing to Tubbo.

Yeah, I did. Do you think it’s about the
anniversary?

Maybe. That’s in a month though, this is
way too soon. You’re not going, right?

                                    I was planning to

You’re still injured. And besides, SBI will
throw a fit if you disappear again.

They’ll get over it. I’ll tell them when I
leave and I’ll text every 20 minutes or
something.

You’re not going to get the ok to go out on
your own so soon after your “kidnapping”

Tommy hummed and looked at Themis.

“If I text you every 20 minutes and I’m careful, is it ok if I go to West alone tonight?” Themis looked at Tommy and hummed.

“Depends. Do you want to visit your roommates?” Tommy nodded and Themis looked back at his book.

“Ok but, I’m dropping you off. I won’t stay, I’ll just explore West and you can call when you’re done there.” Tommy thought about it for a moment and shrugged.

“Ok. Thanks Themis.” Themis smirked and Tommy went back to texting Tubbo.

Guess who just got the ok

You’re an idiot.

I’ll meet you at the apartment and we’ll
go there together. Ok?

Ok but I don’t endorse this.

Wilbur came out of his office and ruffled Tommy’s hair gently as he passed into the living room. Themis glanced up at him and flipped a page in his book.

“Tommy and I are going to West tonight.” Wilbur looked over at Themis and raised an eyebrow.

“Do you have The Angel’s approval?” Themis shook his head and yawned. “Well do you have his disapproval?” Themis shook his head again and Wilbur shrugged. “Ok. Ask him before you just leave though. Don’t want him freaking out.” Themis held up a thumbs up and Tommy smiled at Wilbur.

“What’re you two doing anyways? It’s been dead silent.” Tommy texted Tubbo that Ranboo would be there too.

“Reading. And texting. Tommy’s mad at his roommate.” Wilbur hummed and Tommy sighed.

“Something happened but I don’t know what. He’s usually a bitch but he was dry with his messages and left me on read.” Themis raised his eyebrows and Wilbur forced down a smile.

“How horrible. He left you on read?” Tommy nodded and Wilbur walked over to him. “Something terrible must’ve happened. How could anyone leave Tommy on read?” Tommy stared at Wilbur, sensing that he was being sarcastic. Tommy would rather believe Wilbur was just poking fun at Ranboo though.

“Suck my dick. Never confiding in you again.” Wilbur laughed and Tommy crossed his arms, mindful of not pulling on the stitches. Maybe that would be nice though, to just pick at them like scabs. It’d probably be dangerous.

“It’s alright Tommy, I’m sure he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something.” Tommy sighed and Wilbur sat down next to him.

“He never ‘wakes up on the wrong side of the bed’. He’s probably the biggest pushover I know.” Wilbur hummed and Tommy leaned on Wilbur’s shoulder. “I mean according to my other roommate he has been off lately.” Themis glanced at him and flipped a page in his book.

“Off?” Tommy nodded and took a deep breath.

“Yeah. He got mad this morning apparently. Broke a glass. He’s gotten mad before of course but never that mad.” Wilbur looked at Themis and hummed quietly. Themis looked back at him and shook his head. Wilbur sighed and rested his head on Tommy’s.

“How’re you feeling?” Tommy yawned and shrugged.

“Change of subject much. I’m fine. Been through worse honestly.” Themis looked at Tommy and raised his eyebrows.

“Been through worse? Kid, you were kidnapped by a violent gang for an entire month. Worse would be like, several months.” Tommy shrugged and closed his eyes.

“Only thing worse about it was the mental strain and the dehydration. Pain level, I’ve been through worse.” Wilbur pursed his lips and rubbed Tommy’s shoulder gently.

“You’re messed up, kid.” Tommy opened his eyes and glared at Themis.

“Stop calling me kid. That’s offensive.” Themis sighed and Wilbur smiled. At least after everything, Tommy could still mess with them as much as he liked. The Angel walked out of his office and put a stack of papers in a box next to the elevator. He then walked over to the couch and sat down next to Themis.

“How’s everything going out here?” Tommy sat up and rubbed the back of his head. Wilbur frowned and Themis smirked at him.

“Boring as fuck. Can we do something?” Tommy looked at his arm and felt the stitches with his thumb. It was probably the most stimulus he’d gotten all day. The Angel hummed and nodded.

“What would you like to do? We can take you around the tower, watch some movies or something, I think we still have a gaming system somewhere.” Tommy sighed and scratched his arm gently.

“I don’t know, explore. Can we get food?” The Angel nodded and smiled softly at Tommy. Tommy smiled and Wilbur sighed.

"I was content just sitting here but, I understand the restlessness. Need help up?" Tommy shook his head and used his good arm to lift himself up. His body exploded in pain and he bit his lip to distract himself from the pain enough to hide it. Wilbur stood up and rubbed Tommy's back.

"We should get you a crutch. Put more weight on your good arm than your gut." Tommy looked at Themis and shook his head. The Angel stood up and tapped Themis's shoulder. Themis sighed and stood up.

"I don't need a fucken crutch." Wilbur hummed and started walking Tommy to the elevator. The Angel and Themis followed close behind.

"It'd be useful though, gotta admit." Tommy rolled his eyes and Wilbur hit the button to call the elevator. Tommy leaned against him and sighed.

"I guess so." The elevator opened and they all filed in. Tommy immediately leaned against the wall, taking a deep breath and running his fingers through his hair. He hadn't brushed it recently. He hoped nobody would notice.

"Who should we bother first?" Tommy looked at Wilbur and sighed. He didn’t know who to bother, piss off.

"Let’s go bother The Forgotten. Last I heard from Vikk, Warper had another ‘vision’.” Wilbur chuckled at Themis and hit the button for The Forgotten’s floor.

“Why is vision in air quotes?” The Angel moved Tommy’s hair around a bit and smiled at whatever result he’d gotten from it.

“His power is to travel back in time, but he claims that every now and again he travels further in time. Nobody really believes him because he just spouts bullshit that has no evidence to be true. Tommy hummed and the elevator opened. He didn’t realize it’d stopped moving. The Angel and Themis left the elevator and Wilbur hooked his arm around Tommy’s good one, helping him out of the elevator as well. Tommy didn’t need the help but, he wasn’t going to say anything.

“Hey Warper! Come here.” A door on the right opened and Warper walked out. Once he caught sight of Tommy he walked over to them. Warper stood in front of Tommy and Tommy leaned into Wilbur a bit.

“Enjoy this year. It gets worse.” Tommy furrowed his eyebrows and Themis huffed heavily. Warper’s expression almost looked bored.

“What does that mean?” Warper sighed and looked at Themis.

“Keep a close eye on your little friend, Themis. He’s more valuable than you know.” Themis’s eyes widened slightly and The Angel looked at him in confusion. Warper looked at The Angel and curled his hand into a fist, cracking his knuckles.

“You’re going to be forced to choose between your morals and justice. Choose your morals.” The Angel looked at Warper and Warper looked at Wilbur.

“Check your office for any bugs. Consistently.” Wilbur didn’t seem to have much of a reaction, but Tommy wasn’t really paying attention. Warper knew about him and Themis. Either he’s a stalker or he really can see the future. Which sucks because Tommy was really looking forward to moving past all the shit and having a good year.

“Do you want to explain any of that?” Warper looked at The Angel and shrugged.

“Not really. You’ll all figure it out in time.” Warper turned around and walked back into the room he came from, closing the door behind him.

“Well that was boring.” Wilbur smiled and Themis let out a small snort. The Angel sighed and nodded. “It was like going to a fortune teller, no wonder you guys think he’s just losing it.” Wilbur giggled quietly and led Tommy back to the elevator.

“Don’t say that so loudly, Tommy. He’ll get pissed.” Tommy nodded as The Angel and Themis made their way into the elevator. “I say we bother the Badlands. Warning, Halo does not like swearing.” Tommy grinned and nodded, and Wilbur hit the button for the Badland’s floor. Themis sighed and The Angel looked at him.

“So, you have a friend?” Tommy bit his lip and Themis nodded slowly. “Since when?”

“You sound like you’re about to scold him for making friends.” The Angel sighed and Wilbur snorted.

“That’s exactly what he’s going to do. Themis doesn’t have friends. This should be a good thing.” Themis looked at Tommy and Tommy pouted at him.

“Awww big man Themis is alone? Nobody would’ve ever guessed.” Themis rolled his eyes and The Angel leaned over to Themis, whispering something to him. Wilbur chuckled and ruffled Tommy’s hair, making The Angel frown. The door opened and Themis walked out quickly, The Angel following behind. Tommy and Wilbur hobbled out of the elevator and Halo looked over at them from the kitchen.

“Oh! Hello!” Wilbur waved to Halo and sat Tommy down on the couch. Tommy stood up and glared at him. Halo walked over to them after tapping a small bell and setting three plates of food down on the counter. “Aren’t you excited? West’s Lost celebration is soon!” Tommy grimaced and Themis and The Angel walked over.

“Not really looking forward to it. We’d all rather we didn’t have to.” Halo frowned and nodded.

“Well of course. I like to think of it more as a celebration of their lives, and an eternal thank you for all they did for West.” Tommy sighed and nodded.

“Yeah, I guess so. That’s a pretty enthusiastic look on things.” Halo shrugged and smiled.

“Better enthusiastic than depressed about West’s biggest event. Did you hear? Some people think the missing vigilante will return. I’m very excited about it.” Tommy bit his lip and smiled awkwardly.

“Are you from West or something?” Halo nodded and put his hands on his hips.

“Born and raised there. Only reason I’m not still there is because I’m here now. I still go on my downtime.” Tommy hummed and nodded slowly. A door opened to the left of them and Ponk came out. Ponk glanced at them and waved before making his way into the kitchen, grabbing two of the plates, and going back into the room he came from. Antisocial, Tommy guessed. Much like Themis, who hadn’t said anything or even moved since they started talking about the celebration.

“I hope I’ll see you there Tommy! I know these three probably won’t go but it’d be a shame if you had to miss it.” Tommy nodded and sighed heavily. He didn’t even consider if they didn’t let him go. It’s so important to him, he may just sneak out for it. Give them all a well deserved heart attack.

“You will. No lousy stab wound will keep me from that event.” Halo grinned and the door Ponk went through slammed open again to reveal Captain Puffy. She looked like a mess. Her hair was heavily matted, her outfit was half on, and she looked absolutely exhausted, and panicked.

“Stab wound?!” Captain Puffy walked over to him and Wilbur stepped in her way. Tommy backed up a bit and Themis wrapped his arm around Tommy’s shoulders.

“No, no, you’re tired and he’s fine, go back to bed.” Captain Puffy got up to Wilbur and glared at him. “He doesn’t want to be healed by you until you’re back to full health yourself. Now back to bed.” Captain Puffy huffed and a dim blue light emitted from her. The bags under her eyes disappeared and her skin gained a bit more color.

“There, I’m fine. Now let me see.” She tried pushing past Wilbur but Wilbur held her back. Ponk ran over to them and tried dragging Captain Puffy back to the room. Tommy turned around and hid his face in Themis’s chest, feeling himself get nervous from the commotion.

“Let her just see him.” Wilbur and Ponk looked at Themis and Themis raised his eyebrow. Captain Puffy looked up at him and smiled slightly. “She won’t heal him if he doesn’t want it, so just let her see. There’s no harm in it.” Tommy took a deep breath and curled his hands around Themis’s jacket. Themis rubbed his back gently and Tommy sighed.

“Ok, fine. Go on then.” Wilbur moved out of Captain Puffy’s way and Ponk let go of her. She immediately walked over and stood beside Themis and Tommy. Tommy looked at her and she smiled softly at him.

“Do you mind if I just have a look at your injuries?” Tommy shook his head and moved away from Themis a bit. First he showed her his arm. The way she looked over him reminded him of Ranboo, which he supposed made him a bit more comfortable. He then showed her the small cuts on his lower legs, and she had the same expression as Ranboo did last time he looked at his leg. Ok, Tommy missed Ranboo a bit. Tommy showed Captain Puffy the stab wound last, and she looked very unnerved.

“And you’re sure you don’t want me to heal you?” Tommy sighed and nodded.

“I’m sure. You need the energy for the heroes, I’m fine.” Captain Puffy sighed heavily and stood up from her crouched position. She smiled sadly at Tommy and patted his head. She was literally shorter than him why the fuck would she do that.

“I’ll have plenty of energy for them, and your health is just as important as theirs. But, I won’t push you. Just, come and see me if it gets any worse?” Tommy nodded and smiled at her. She smiled back and walked back into the room she’d been in. Ponk followed her and Halo sighed fondly.

“Such a worry wart. Don’t worry, she’s like that to everyone.” Tommy nodded and Themis looked at The Angel.

“Oh yeah, me and Tommy are going to West later tonight. Sorry, just remembered that I forgot to tell you.” The Angel looked at Themis and glared at him.

“Why would I let you go to West tonight?” Themis stared at The Angel and licked his lips.

“Because we’re not allowed to say no to Tommy without reason and he wanted me to go with him.” The Angel sighed and looked at Tommy. Tommy smiled nervously and The Angel rubbed the bridge of his nose.

“Fine, but after tonight you’re losing your privilege to bring Tommy around.” Themis frowned and Tommy furrowed his eyebrows.

“No no, he’s my favorite to drag around you can’t take him away from me. So many people in West give him shit, don’t take away my fun with that.” The Angel looked at Tommy and sighed heavily. “Come on, you wouldn’t deny an injured child his wishes right?” Wilbur pursed his lips and Themis shrugged, a small grin on his face.

“Language, Tommy.” Tommy looked at Halo and almost laughed at his disapproving look.

“Sorry boss man.” Halo smiled at him and Tommy looked at The Angel. The Angel was looking at Themis disapprovingly and Tommy sighed. “Come on, please?” The Angel looked at Tommy and Tommy pouted his lip. The Angel sighed and threw his arms in the air dramatically.

“Fine. We’re talking about this ‘friend’ later though, understood?” Themis nodded and Wilbur rubbed the back of his head, looking sheepish.

“I think I might know who the friend is.” The Angel turned to Wilbur with the most pissed off look Tommy had ever seen on a person. It was worse than Tubbo, which Tommy didn’t think was possible.

“Does everybody know about this person except for me?” Tommy cleared his throat and The Angel turned to him. If looks could kill, Tommy would be one with the earth again. Tommy was almost worried The Angel would explode.

“Captain Puffy knows too.” The Angel’s head snapped over to Themis and Tommy backed away from them all, carefully making his way to the elevator. The Angel was seething about time Tommy got the elevator open and got in. Tommy hit the button for the door to close and right as he did he heard “oh and Nihachu.” And a high-pitched scream right after. The door closed and Tommy realized he forgot what button went to their floor. It was somewhere in the 20s. Just hit random ones until you find it, he supposed. Tommy hit the button for floor 26 and checked his phone. He’d gotten a text from Ranboo agreeing to meet Tommy at the apartment. Tommy texted him back that he had something to tell Ranboo and Tubbo, and that they should talk about it before going to the address. Tommy also added in that he didn’t want them to be mad at him but he was bringing Themis to the apartment. Ranboo said he didn’t have the patience to not be mad and that if Themis so much as entered their apartment building, he’d put a knife through Themis’s skull. Tommy stared at the phone in mild shock. He put his phone away after a minute and the door opened. Tommy walked into the floor and saw Hbomb sweeping. Hbomb looked up at him and smiled.

“Hi Tommy! Where’s the others?” Tommy shrugged and Hbomb waved him over. Hbomb was in a shortish black skirt and had a white button up shirt on. He was weird. But also an icon.

“On Badland’s floor. They’re yelling at each other.” Hbomb motioned Tommy to sit on the couch and he did, Hbomb sitting next to him a minute later.

“Why are they yelling at each other?” Tommy sighed and shrugged.

“Themis was hiding something from The Angel I guess. He wasn’t too happy about it.” Hbomb hummed and furrowed his eyebrows.

“The Angel doesn’t get mad often. Must’ve been something pretty big.” Tommy shrugged and moved his arm to his lap.

“Themis just made a friend. I don’t see what the big deal is.” Hbomb raised his eyebrows and huffed out a laugh.

“That guy make friends? Oh, that hasn’t happened since-“ Hbomb stopped himself as a look of realization struck his face. Tommy looked at him in confusion as Hbomb nodded. “I see now. Last time Themis made friends with someone, they turned out to be the murderer who killed his old friend. The Angel is mad because Themis had known he was a killer and didn’t care, so The Angel probably thinks this friend is another murderer.” Tommy’s eyes widened slightly and he took a deep breath, nodding along with Hbomb. Technically they did befriend a murderer but it wasn’t him.

“So The Angel thinks he’s putting everyone at risk again by having a friend?” Hbomb nodded and Tommy frowned. “That’s bullshit. The Angel didn’t even know about this friend. Now I’m assuming it was for a good reason.” Hbomb nodded and scratched his head.

“Yeah, he was mad at Themis back then at first, but then Themis almost died and The Angel realized how much of a dick he’d been. Two years of therapy later, it’s happening all over again. Tommy, do me a favor and be more emotionally stable than the other three on that floor.” Tommy grimaced and huffed out a laugh.

“That’s a lot to ask from a traumatized child, but yeah I’ll try. Oh, by the way what’s up with your outfit? And are those ears fake because if they are, they look way too good on you.” Hbomb chuckled and flicked his ear.

“They’re real. I’m technically a cat maid but Faux loves me too much to give me that title. Oh, do you like my outfit by the way? I like how skirts feel so I wear them for everything except for patrol.” Wait Hbomb is a hero too? He’s never in costume though, Tommy could easily pick him out from the streets.

“I didn’t even realize you were a hero. I love the outfit though, it looks comfortable.” Hbomb smiled and nodded.

“Oh yeah, I am. I don’t get sent out as often though so my identity isn’t really that important to me. As far as I’m concerned, anyone hired here should be given trust because they have to go through such a complicated security process just to get hired.” Tommy nodded and sighed. He didn’t really think about the secret identity thing as a trust thing. It just kind of made sense that they’d keep it a secret just in case but Hbomb was so calm about it that Tommy had to wonder why they did it the way they did. Everyone else was secretive about it but Hbomb. Actually, Tommy hadn’t seen the other two guys that he’d met the day of his interview and he’d been there almost a week already. The worker for NotFound and that guy in the elevator that went into Themis’s office. Now that Tommy knew Themis had a therapist, he wondered if that was the guy. Themis probably talked about him and that’s why he gave Tommy such a weird look. It’d also then make sense of why he hasn’t seen the guy since, if Themis isn’t in therapy anymore. Maybe that was their last meeting. Well, temporarily.

“Hey, do they know that you left?” Tommy shrugged and Hbomb looked at the elevator.

“Well, either the elevator will still be on this floor by the time they notice so they’ll know where you went, or they’re about to freak out.” Tommy hummed and a door on their right opened. Undying walked out of the room without a shirt and wearing a long off-white skirt. He had some pretty cool tattoos, but Tommy didn’t get to look at them too closely before Undying screamed and scrambled back into the room, slamming the door shut behind him. Hbomb laughed loudly and Tommy looked at the closed door in shock. Undying came back out of the room a minute later with a yellow t-shirt on. Tommy would be surprised at how muscular he is but, he’s a hero. It’d be weird if he was just a normal guy though.

“Never talk about this to anyone, got it?” Tommy nodded and Undying sat across from them. He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, then looked around as if he’d lost something. “Aren't there four of you?” Tommy looked at Undying in confusion.

“They’re on Badland’s floor. We’re pretty sure they don’t know he left.” Undying nodded slowly and grinned.

“Wanna go prank their floor?” Tommy smiled and nodded. Undying and Tommy stood up and Tommy held out his hand to Hbomb. Hbomb looked up at him and shook his head.

“Faux gets nervous when he can’t find me. I’ll stay here.” Tommy rolled his eyes and grabbed Hbomb’s hand, yanking him up. Tommy felt a small jab of pain in his stomach and brushed it off.

“Then go get him, he’ll come with.” Hbomb smiled slightly and nodded, then ran into a room a bit away from them. Faux ran out of the room with Hbomb close on his tail and ran to the elevator, calling for the doors to open. Tommy and Undying walked over as the door opened, and the four got in the elevator.

“Oh! Tommy, how’s it going man? Sorry, I just realized we haven’t seen each other since your first day here.” Faux held his hand out for Tommy and Tommy shook his hand. Faux smiled and Tommy shrugged.

“Well could be a lot better but I’m getting the hang of things again. Walking isn’t the easiest but I can manage well enough on my own. I am definitely going to have like, a day-long nap after this though.” Faux chuckled and let go of Tommy’s hand.

“I hear you there. What’s it like living with the family of the tower?” Tommy furrowed his eyebrows and chuckled quietly.

“The family?” Faux looked a bit surprised but nodded.

“Yeah. Some heroes are dating or family with each other but everyone like that is on different floors from each other. Those three are the only ones allowed to be together as a family. Henceforth, the family of the tower.” Tommy nodded and shrugged slightly.

“It’s fine. The Angel likes to coddle me though. And according to Themis and Wilbur, he’s ‘adopted’ me.” Fundy snorted and Hbomb ‘aww’ed at Tommy. Undying didn’t say anything, but he smiled fondly. “Themis is so unpredictable though. One day he’s over my shoulder, the next he won’t even look at me.” Faux nodded and sighed.

“Yeah that sounds about right. I don’t think it’s anything personal, just how he is.” Tommy nodded and the door opened. They walked into the floor and Tommy fell on the couch immediately, a big sigh of relief leaving his lips at the comfort of being able to lay down again.

"You'd think they'd have given you a king sized bed by now. Or let you stay in one of their rooms." Tommy shrugged and Undying sat next to him on the couch. Faux and Hbomb walked around and looked at everything, talking to each other quietly.

"I'm not allowed in their rooms. The whole "secret identity" thing." Undying hummed and nodded. It made sense to Tommy but that's just because he wouldn't trust a hero at his apartment.

"How're you feeling? You look a little paler than you were at our floor." Tommy furrowed his eyebrows and looked down at his arm. All good there. He did feel a little lightheaded but that was just from laying down so fast. Tommy sat up slowly and his head felt like a hundred pounds heavier. He moved his hand to his head and took a deep breath.

"I feel fine for the most part. Just a headache." Undying looked him up and down and paused for a moment, then stood up and walked into the bathroom. Weird. Tommy looked over at Faux and Hbomb and noticed them messing with Themis's office door. He'd say something but his head felt like it was about to implode.

Undying walked out of the bathroom with the med kit and walked over to Tommy. He sat down next to Tommy and pushed Tommy against the back of the couch gently.

"Fuck are you doing?" Undying lifted Tommy's shirt a bit and Tommy saw that a couple of the stitches broke. It wasn't that bad but it was bleeding enough to be noticable. Undying opened the medkit and pulled out a disinfectant cloth. He pressed it against the stitches and Tommy hissed through his teeth in pain. Undying grimaced and continued cleaning the stitches, then tied the broken stitches to the good ones. Tommy sighed and smiled at Undying as he lowered Tommy's shirt again.

"Thanks man. Didn't even realize." Undying set the med kit on Tommy's bed and smiled at him.

"Of course. Adrenaline is weird so don't sweat it. You need water?" Tommy nodded and Undying stood up, going over to the kitchen to get water. Faux and Hbomb walked over and looked down at Tommy. Faux patted Tommy's head and grinned.

"Glad you're not dead." Tommy glared up at Faux.

"Fuck you."
