Wake Up
Limbo...
"As much as I hate to admit it, you're the strongest of us."
The voice of Perry's Father speaks out across the darkness. His father's voice is like small pins on his heart. Perry's emotions overcome him, as they always do. He begins to disintegrate into an open sob as Alan pulls him closer. Alan takes the boy's face into his hands.
"It's not because you have supernatural gifts. It's your inner strength. You keep surprising me and you never stopped surprising me. I wish I'd told you that earlier. I wish that you'd known that before we got here. But you will know that now and forever. You will know that I love you, your Brother and your Mother with every ounce of my soul."
Perry is numbed by Alan's words. He pulls his hand up to his face, wiping tears and embarrassing amounts of snot away. He has precious moments to say goodbye and he starts to wonder if goodbye is what he wants. He's not sure the traditional goodbye is what he needs. He stops sobbing long enough to stare at Alan, "This isn't how this is supposed to go. It can't end like this." Perry declares as the emotion of his body leaks through his voice, powerful and strong.
Alan smiles and kisses Perry's forehead, "The world needs you to be brave, son. It's who you are." He smiles.
"This the part where I do the noble thing, right? The brave thing? What you taught me. Let you walk into the afterlife? I can't do that. I won't."
A growl alerts both of them that they're not alone anymore, if they ever were before. Both notice that a large, shadowy face is hanging above them, watching them intently. The face is stands out as greyer than the blackness around them but its eyes are snowy white. Alan knows the entity as the Keeper of the Underworld. Perry somehow realizes this as well. It is a feeling that is innate as neither of them knows exactly how they know.
"Only one can return." The Shadowy Figure speaks. His voice booms like the Wizard of Oz and quakes the darkness around them. He stares between the father and son, "You've stayed too long."
Perry looks back to Alan and Alan sighs, "You have to go, Moto. Remember what I said." Alan says as he turns his attention away from Perry.
Perry thinks about the words his Father has just spoken. The nickname his Father just uttered calls back to his fondest memories of his Father. A thought occurs to him. It makes sense now that his Father would use the name at this exact moment.
It's like fate.
Perry's mind is in a tailspin. He's quite aware that his process for pain isn't logical but this could be his redeeming action. His Father is wrong. The world doesn't need him. The world needs people like Alan. Strong and Stallworth defenders who always know the difference between right and wrong.
The world needs people who don't have to question themselves.
"No." Perry says causing Alan to turn. A wormhole opens behind Perry and he can feel the tug, though the tug is getting less and less intense. Perry moves swiftly to Alan and latches onto him, despite Alan's protest. Perry throws Alan with all his might into the wormhole behind him and Alan screams as he careens into the wormhole. Perry watches until he cannot hear Alan anymore.
He's left in the peaceful silence of the darkness.
Alan
Alan wakes in cold sweat. He's no stranger to having that nightmare. He looks over at his sleeping wife. Alan smiles. Their infant daughter is keeping them on their toes. Alan stands and moves out of the room and through the hallway, looking into each of the rooms.
Kai and Porter are already fast asleep.
Kai came to live with them after the fiasco with the hunters. Kais' conscience got the better of him and decided to extricate himself from the rest of the Hunters, though after the incident, many didn't quite make it back to their families. Alan pulls his hand up to his neck and the scar Ashley left. Porter is dead tired, having taken summer classes online. Porter's sadness is palpable most days. Alan realizes that his Sons are diametrically opposite in so many ways but the two of them have a bond that is so strong that it radiates through the quiet of the Summers household.
Alan is worried about Porter because of this. The summer is coming to an end and soon he'll be gone again. With all that Porter has gone through, having him close to keep an eye on him has always seemed like the best option. Alan is not an idiot and he knows he has to let Porter be the man he wants to be but he's a bit more protective these days.
Alan comes upon his newborn daughter's room. Peyton is fast asleep in her crib. She's three months old now and one of the smartest kids since Porter and Perry. Penny admonishes Alan for spoiling her. She jokes that he's already got her wrapped around his fingers and she may be right. She's a bit of a terror when she feels like it. He smiles at her as he stands in her doorway.
Peyton is the only good thing that came out of the 'Hunter Fiasco'. Alan personally paid a visit to Troy Summers, his Father, after it was all over. He'd reminded him that people had died and one particular person, his own blood, paid the price. He wasn't moved. It had taken more restraint than Alan thought possible not to end his miserable life. As he thinks back on all of it, he feels a hand on his shoulder and looks over to see Penny smiling at him.
Alan stands at the doorway of his newborn baby girl. He's been watching her for the better part of an hour. It's comforting to watch her from this distance. She's not too far and not too close. She's peaceful.
For once.
"She's still sleep, right?" Penny asks as she joins him at the door. Alan nods and Penny let out a sigh of relief, "Good. Her early morning playdates are getting a bit ridiculous."
Alan laughs at his wife's joke, "She's perfect." He says with a smile.
Perry, Alan thinks.
Alan always seems to think of him at moments like this. He remembers the baby he grew into a young man. He thinks of the young man Perry became and it's always followed by a deep sense of guilt and depression.
Penny notices a sadness in his smile and instantly knows what he's thinking. She, too, thought it. Without meaning to, a sigh leaves her lips, "He'd have loved her. He'd have been over-the-moon for her." She says sadly.
Alan wants to ignore her comment. It feels wrong to think of him in the past tense. The mention of Perry seems to illicit reactions in everyone these days. His wife watches him, as she normally does, for a response. He nods, not daring to look at her.
"Don't get me wrong, he was very angry with us for so long and sometimes I wanted to strangle him. I can't help but feel that I failed him. Porter as well." Penny muses, causing Alan to look at her. She continues, "If I'd told him about who he was, he'd have been more prepared."
"I wanted it. I wanted him to be ignorant to who he...to who he was. I thought it would be better that way. I failed him. I let him sacrifice himself for..." Alan's voice breaks and he can't finish the sentence.
"I could have fought harder for it, for us to be honest with them, and I didn't. I should have. We both failed to save him but we created one of the most precious things in the world. We did it three times." Penny says taking Alan's face in her hands, "We'll see him again. It's the only part of this that makes any sense. It's the thing that drives me, along with you and our family."
Alan nods to her, "You should get some rest. We both should. We've got a long day." His voice is soft and calming to hide the madness beneath.
Penny nods to him and leaves him standing the doorway. Alan turns back to Peyton, who is now giggling in her sleep. Alan wonders if Perry can hear him and if he's here in the room with them. He wonders if he knows about Peyton. Alan looks around the room, trying to find any hint of Perry. She'll know her brother soon.
At the beginning of the summer, Eva and Charlotte traveled to Cairo in search of a very specific magical artifact. The two have returned with the Orb of Osiris and they are clear to go forward with their intended spell. The spell will resurrect Perry and make everything right again.
Alan promised himself that in a couple of days, his son will be returned to his family. It's the way the worlds needs it.
It's the way Alan needs it.
Eva
Eva is nervous.
She feels as if she's standing on pins and needles.
Alan informed the whole group that they can proceed with the resurrection spell tonight. After retrieving the Orb, she and Charlotte were put in a weird position. The trip had left lasting impressions on the girls. The arduous journey is over but in some ways another journey is just beginning.
Upon arriving at one of the temples of Osiris, the two were met by three women with silk ties around their eyes. Literature class prepared them to meet the Fates, though it was just as jarring as one would expect. The women were beautiful, adorned in red silk dresses with glowing skin threatening to outshine the sun. The women explained that they'd only get the Orb after they passed the test to receive it. Charlotte and Eva prepared to take their tests only to find out that their test were independent of each other.
Their tests were about altruism, in a way. The test preyed on their deepest desire and worst fear.
Eva's test consisted of a world where she was not a vampire. The world was what she wished since the moment she'd been turned. She'd never met the twins nor had any of them ever found out about the supernatural world. The fantasy had been a life without magic and it was tempting. The test had been to leave the fantasy. It hurt her to her core to leave the dream, but in the end, she realized it wasn't her world. Eva realized her reality was something other than a perfect world.
One aspect of her life, coincidentally, happened to involve her ex-vampire lover, Finn. The two hadn't spoken since the beginning of summer, no doubt a symptom of the lessening relationship between the two. The two started out so strong and after a certain point, their relationship took a nosedive. Eva pinpoints the exact moment to becoming a vampire and his reaction to it. She misses his friendship.
She needs to fix it.
Eva stands in front of the Christiansen Manor. She feels an unbelievable amount of anxiety. She wonders if it is normal to be filled with this much anxiety about seeing one's ex-boyfriend.
As she moves towards the door, it opens and Finn stares at her. He gestures her inside and when she enters, Nora is sitting in the parlor wrapping a stray curl around her finger. Nora doesn't wholly acknowledge her at first, opting to give attention to Finn. She immediately feels out of place and turns to leave but Finn steps in her way.
"No, don't go." Nora shouts form her seat as she stands, "I'm not here to maim or kill any of you."
"Is this where you've been? With your sick, psychopathic sister?" Eva asks as she looks to Finn, "You didn't tell her about the fish, did you?"
Fish has become the codename for Perry's resurrection.
Finn looks between Nora and Eva, "No, the fish is still our secret. I'd stop talking about it if I were you." He says moving towards the fireplace, where a fire is raging, "Nora is here to tell me how Perry's death is affecting the world."
"Do tell." Eva says.
Nora moves to a flat screen television above the fireplace and flips it on, "See for yourself."
Eva's eyes find the screen and she watches as the news shows violent uprisings in the Middle East before moving over to disappearances spread out between the United States and finally ending on electromagnetic interference in Washington. The three of them watch as the reporter segues into the rash of mutilated bodies and birds falling from the sky.
Eva stumbles back and takes a seat on the couch, "This is because he's gone? His death is causing the Apocalypse?" She asks.
"Turns out the jokes were true. I don't imagine your wolf-friend is eating people." Nora says flipping off the television. Nora nod to Finn, "Comfort the girl. She looks sick. Just try to keep it off the rug. It's an heirloom."
Finn moves to Eva, "Eva, Nora believes that something has to be done." He stares at her for confirmation.
Eva glares at him before giving in. She sighs. She understands that Finn wants to bring Nora into the loop about Perry's resurrection. She knows that it is a bad idea but having another vampire on their side would be a big help. The team is running low on actual supernatural beings. Eva takes a deep breath and nods to Finn.
"Why do I feel like you're hiding something that could cause even more chaos?" Nora asks with a bored tone.
Finn sighs before confessing, "We're going to resurrect Perry."
Nora looks between the two of them, "Ah, well...about bloody time! Though, I'm skeptical about exactly how you're going to do that. No offense, but do you even know more witches? And everyone knows that after a year-"
"That's common knowledge? Really?" Eva asks.
"Everyone, except you, I'm guessing."
Eva rolls her eyes and looks to Finn, "Please tell me you have vodka or whiskey or...something fairly strong."
Finn stands and moves over to the antique liquor cart. The bulk of their alcohol rests on the third level of the peculiar golden cart. He begins to mix her a drink and continues the conversation, "We've gotten the essentials. I think we're close enough."
"Which witch is attempting the spell? His Brother is still powerless and my statement from before still stands." Nora asks.
Eva and Finn share a contentious look as he brings her a drink. Eva immediately downs the drink, surprising Finn and Nora. Afterward, she looks between them.
"No witch, just a few vampires, a werewolf, a couple of hunters and...Charlotte." Eva explains with a sheepish shrug, "We are fresh out of witches."
"In Salem? You're fresh out of witches in Salem? I can-"
Finn interrupts, "The last witch you brought into our lives was an old hag that tried to corrupt Perry. No. No witches."
"You need a witch to initiate the spell. Now that is literally something a baby knows." Nora says, "What about the mother? And we confirmed the brother isn't a witch anymore?"
"Porter's not a witch anymore. And we're not going to tell Penny until we know for sure that we can do it." Eva stands, "It leads me to why I came here: Have you heard from Lucas?"
Finn stares at her nervously, "No, I haven't." his voice grows harder at the mention of his brother.
Eva examines him and folds her arms over her chest, "Why don't I believe that?" She asks.
"Because Finn never was a good liar." Nora says watching with rabid fascination, "To think, you're the good one."
"Nora!" Finn warns. He looks to Eva, "I didn't tell him either. I don't want him anywhere near this."
"Why?" Eva asks.
"Because Eva," Finn near-shouts, "He's not...doing well. He's gone back to his old ways. Most of the time I talk to him, he's drinking and full off of human blood. He lost it when Perry died."
Eva takes a deep breath and stifles what she wants to say, "Okay, fine. No Lucas." She nods.
"You're not going to argue with me?"
"I know how he feels. I know what I wanted to do and how it made me feel. If we don't do this, it'll only make it worse." Eva says with a nod, "I should go. I'll see you tonight at the compound."
"Yeah." Finn says watching her leave.
Nora chuckles, calling Finn's attention, "So, you two are still pretending that you don't mean anything to each other?" She asks.
"We're friends."
"Is it because of Perry?"
"The one condition on me letting you stay is that you don't ask questions about my love life or discuss it in the least." Finn says as he leaves the room.
Nora laughs and moves to the cart to fix a drink. She can't help remark at how fun this will be.
Charlotte
Charlotte is angry.
It seems to be her default emotion these days. Everyone has noticed and it makes her self-conscious about her own disposition.
Charlotte finds herself in front of Thebas High School, staring at it in reverence. This place had been her prison for four years. She'd laughed, cried and found herself in the hallways of this very building. It's hard for her not to realize that she'll never truly go here again.
There's no going back.
The trip to Egypt had only reinforced this train of thought in her. Eva's test had been simple fantasy. A wish she wanted. Charlotte was stuck in a nightmare of supernatural hullabaloo. She'd been forced to face being a supernatural herself.
Whereas Eva's mindfuck had been about deciding to leave her fantasy, Charlotte's was about returning to a nightmare. Her test was about accepting a truth she'd wished was only a nightmare.
Quite recently, Charlotte realized that she has gifts. She is able to faintly feel the emotions of others as well as teleport very short distances. She learned it shortly before going to Egypt and it was reinforced by the three women at the temple.
She is innately supernatural.
She shakes the truth from her head as her eyes fall from the roof of the building to two figures emerging from the front doors. She immediately spots Kai and Jason walking out of the school. She watches as they approach her. She puts her hands on her hips and stares at them.
"What're you doing out here?" Kai asks.
"Reminiscing. I know you're a juvenile delinquent," She says to Jason before looking to Kai, "But exactly why are you here?"
"Well, after your werewolf best friend killed my family, I was out of school for a couple of months. I was allowed to walk with you guys under the condition that I take summer classes." Kai explains, "Juvenile Delinquent. That was a good one."
"I'm glad you approve." Charlotte smiles, "So, what now? A pool party? The annual back-to-school party?"
"Resurrecting a dead friend." Jason says with a heavy voice.
The two of them stare at him. Their pact is supposed to go unspoken. The group made a codename for the ritual but it seems to do a disservice to such a enormous task. The words were frightening to hear out loud.
"Sorry. I shouldn't have said that. It's not something we should say out loud." Jason apologizes, "But since I did...is anybody else freaked out?"
"We're resurrecting a person, so yeah, I think we're all freaked out." Charlotte says as she shivers, "It's creepy. The only thing I know for sure is that we need him back. He didn't deserve to die. He'd do it for any of us, which is why he's dead to begin with."
"What if he has to die?" Kai asks, "What if that has always been the plan?"
"Do you hear yourself? He died for you."
"He's not Jesus."
"But he still died for you. And that's why we're bringing him back. Alan asked who was out and you didn't express any sort of-"
"That's not what I was saying!" Kai argues, "I 'm just pretty freaked out, too. It's just intimidating."
Charlotte is afraid to say that she feels the same. They will be attempting to do something that every piece of fiction has warned against. It's a gut feeling of fear and dread. A lot of things are about to change and no one knows what they are and how, if the can, they can be fixed.
Charlotte hopes it's not too late.
"Just be ready jack-asses." She says turning and leaving them.
As she leaves them, Kai and Jason regard each other. The two find her wholly intimidating yet their exchange speaks louder than any words she said. It's clear that they're all feeling the pressure.
"I knew there was a reason I date men." Kai sighs.
Jason laughs as the two of them begin walking again.
David
David is drunk.
Porter and Parker walk into Byars to have lunch. The two of them have been getting closer since Perry's death. The two can usually be found with David but he's becoming a bit more unreliable these days. David is a wildcard on his best days, so Parker keeps his distance. Parker and Porter began making repairs on the domus for Perry's return. It was endearing to Porter that Parker has such optimism about the ritual.
The two of them go to sit down and see David at the bar downing a beer. Parker sighs as he sees his best friend drinking yet again. Porter suggests they go over and speak to him but Parker is highly resistant. He's quite clear on David's temperament as of late.
Porter moves toward David and takes a seat at the bar beside him. Parker joins them, taking the opposite side of David. Porter can see the cracks in David. It's clear that David was in love with his brother. The thought had plagued Porter once. David's reputation as a world-class jerk hadn't escaped him and the thought of his little brother with such a guy was alarming.
Now, it's hard to miss how much Perry means to David.
David looks to one side and then the other, "Great." He says taking another drink of his beer.
"Hey, you okay?" Porter asks.
"Peachy." David says slamming the glass on the bar to get the bartender's attention for the fourth time. The bartender appears in front of them with a look of pure annoyance and David chuckles, "Another."
"I think you've had enough." Parker insists.
"Didn't ask you," David says dismissively, "Besides, I'm just getting started."
"Wrong." The bartender says moving to another customer.
David slams the glass on the bar again. The glass shatters in his hand and he leans on the counter, "Get back here and get me my drink, asshole!"
The bartender stares at him, bewildered, "Get him out of here, now." He commands to Parker and Porter.
Parker yanks David away from the bar and out into the parking lot. When they are out of reach from prying ears, Parker pushes David in front of them and David stares at them venomously.
"Did I ask for a rescue?!" David rages.
"You think this is a healthy way to deal with things? You think this is going to make you feel better?" Porter asks, "It won't."
"Shouldn't you be shooting something?" David says drunkenly, "Or maybe telling people your little brother went to college early? That's my favorite lie. You know, over there is where Zack beat him to a pulp."
"David!" Parker barks.
Porter shakes his head, "It's okay. He's angry."
"But it's fine. I guess he'll be making an appearance soon. Maybe he'll be a zombie and we can exchange summer stories. Think he has any stories? Because, you know, I've never heard a dead man's tale." David laughs.
Porter advances on him and punches him. David falls to the ground and stares up at the men with an amused expression on his face. He pulls his hand up to his lip and wipes the blood before picking himself up.
"This isn't right. He shouldn't have died but he did. I want the guy back more than any of you but doing whatever we're doing could fuck him up. If it does, I'm going to kill you. Literally."
"Don't come." Porter hisses, "I don't want you anywhere near this. I don't trust you and I don't want the first thing Perry sees to be you like this."
David throws his hand in the air, "That's great! Before he died, he thought I was becoming a monster anyways. I'd rather eat people than to deal with any of this." He says as he storms off, running into the wooded area.
"Dude, I'm sorry." Parker apologizes, "He's really messed up. I wish I could say it is from Perry, but it started way before him."
"It's fine. I should go, there's prep work that needs to be done." Porter says as he stalks of toward his car.
Parker stares on, unsure of how things got so messed up and how they can possibly get any worse.
Alan
As night falls, a small group assembles at the abandoned hunter's compound. The group makes their way to the basement of the compound, where all of this started. Each of them dreads coming back to the compound, especially the basement. The night of Perry's death replays in their heads from the moment they arrive, as if some supernatural force is causing them to relive every moment.
Alan, Eva, Finn, Porter and Charlotte opt to perform the ritual. They make their way to the basement and begin setting up for the spell. There are several candles lining the room as they stand before a neatly drawn triquetra required for the spell. Inside the triquetra is the orb of Osiris, the family's grimoire, Perry's favorite shirt (depicting a group of heroes) and the bones of the deceased.
What's left of Perry's body is laid very gingerly at the epicenter of the triquetra.
The remaining members of the group remain above ground, in the courtyard and it consists of Kai, Jason and Parker. They are keeping a lookout for any unexpected situations that may arise.
Back downstairs, Charlotte and Porter stand at one point of the triquetra, Eva and Finn take another and Alan stands alone at the last. Alan calls for the group to begin the chant. As they chant, the fire of the candle rises, casting dancing shadows on the wall.
Charlotte could swear she sees the shadows move around them. Without thinking, she grasps on to Porter's hand. The two of them stare at each other before looking back at the triquetra.
"What's going on here?"
The chant stops as Penny arrives at the door. Alan feels a lump in the back of his throat as he tries to form words. Penny takes one look around the room and gasps as her eyes fall on the bones of her son. Alan attempts to move towards her but she puts her hand up, stopping him.
"If you move, the spell is broken." Penny says entering the room fully. She surveys the ritual area again, "Why didn't you tell me you were planning this? You need a strong source of power."
"I-I didn't want to get your hopes up. And I knew you wouldn't approve. I'd rather ask for forgiveness on this one." Alan says softly, "I have to make this right."
Penny stares at him, examining him, "You know this will kill you, Alan."
The others look to each other before staring at Alan. The room's air quickly diminishes as the realization of the statement hits all of them. Alan has known from the moment he declared that they would bring Perry back that he would have to sacrifice himself. It was the only way. The universe doesn't just give, it requires a trade. It's a consequence for Perry's actions.
"Dad, what's she talking about?" Porter asks angrily, "You never said anything-"
Alan pulls his hand up but doesn't take his eyes off his wife, "We're not going to argue about it. Perry saved me when he shouldn't have. It wasn't his time. It was time for me to go and not him."
"You've been planning this all along. You knew you'd do this and you didn't...I didn't get to say goodbye." Penny says sadly. Her eyes light with realization and tears are apparent in her eyes, "This last year together was our goodbye."
"I got to tell each of you how much I love you and how proud I am of you every day. It's more than any man has gotten before and I'm lucky in that way." Alan smiles.
"I love you, you idiot." Penny says through sobs. She moves beside her husband and grabs his hand.
The rest of the room watches in silence. They're speechless. Porter tries to come up with a plausible argument on why Alan shouldn't do it. He's in an impossible situation. He'd have to tell his father not to save his baby brother. He just cannot do it. Porter looks down, trying to hide the tears in his eyes. Alan catches his eye and they nod to each other.
Alan breathes in and starts the spell with conviction. The chant begins powerfully and it seems immediate that the room fills with a tense pressure that all of them can feel. The chant grows louder and the effects of the spell become more pronounced.
The group watches as the Orb cracks open and a steamy figure appears above them. The shirt and grimoire begin to glow and the shirt goes up in flames. The steamy figure lumbers overhead, its eyes falling on each person.
"You." The figure's voice booms as his eyes land on Alan, "I was wondering when I'd see you again."
"Who is he?" Eva asks.
"Vampire, I am Osiris. I am the Keeper of the dead and Guardian of the Underworld." Osiris proclaims, "You have summoned me, why?"
"I'd like to make an exchange." Alan shouts.
Osiris regards him with amusement, "Ah, the boy! You want him restored. I assume you know what I ask in return. What is required to fully restore him?" He asks
Alan lets go of Penny's hand and she begins to sob. He turns to her, "Don't cry. It's my time. It always was. We'll see each other again. Let that motivate you, Penny." Alan looks to Porter, "Take care of them, all of them."
Porter nods through tears as Alan moves closer to Osiris. Penny is inconsolable by this point, as are Charlotte and Eva. The men at their sides console them. As Alan reaches Osiris, Osiris reaches out and grabs his hand, causing a white light to envelope the room, not unlike the night Perry died.
As the light pulsates, a gasp can be heard. When the light dissipates, Alan's lifeless body is being held by a new figure. As the light leaves completely, everyone realizes that Perry stands in the middle of the room, cradling his Father's lifeless body.
Perry gently lays his Father's body on the ground and stands before them naked with a an unmanaged bushel of hair and even wilder eyes. Perry glances down at his Father's body and his gaze lingers, as if he's trying to comprehend something. Porter breaks from Charlotte and Perry notices. His eyes snap to Porter.
"Perry." Porter asks.
The sound of Porter's voice seems to cause a reaction as a noticeably irate expression washes over his face. He whips his hand into the air and Porter is flung across the room. Penny moves suddenly and is thrown in the opposite direction. Eva and Finn move in blurs but Perry pulls his hand up, stopping them both. His head cranes to the side as the vampires sink to the floor, screaming. Charlotte moves quickly and shoots a burst of light out of her hands, taking him by surprise and knocking him off his feet.
Perry stands and looks at her, his eyes lingering a few extra seconds. Suddenly, he throws a hand in the air and an invisible force explodes above him and the invisible force pulls him through the hole he created.
Charlotte moves towards her friends as Porter comes to. He moves to his Mother first. The sound of crackling draws both of their attention. They move quickly, rousing all of them awake. Finn pulls Alan's body over his shoulder and they realize that they must find their way out of the labyrinth as the rest of the house has gone up in flames.
David
Parker is pacing back and forth as a large wolf lopes towards them. Jason and Kai jump to attention but Parker tells them it's okay. The wolf transforms into a fully naked David and he stares at them. Kai and Jason gawk at the newly formed human shape of David.
"That's honestly pretty fucking sick." Jason says in awe, "And so unfair."
"I thought you weren't coming." Parker frowns, "This looks like coming."
"Then you've never seen cumming." He smirks as notices Kai turn away from him.
David decides that's a not a battle he wants to fight right now. He looks to the compound as he smells smoke. He also smells someone he thought he'd never smell again: Perry. He can hear a hissing noise and he knows immediately what's happening. He launches himself at Kai and pulls him away as the compound explodes, throwing them all off their feet.
The four stand and watch as the flames overtake the compound.
"What in the fuck!" Parker shouts.
