Chapter 27
Hi! Sorry for the delay. I just completely forgot to update. The new chapter is here though and I hope that you enjoy it! We are moving to a new town and with a guest star from the Supernatural show. Enjoy!
Then: Cheorwon
"Tell me where they are," Wonpil states, slicing a man with pointy fingernails and sharp teeth chained to a wooden chair with silver chains. They are in a musky, underground area. The walls, floor, everything is made of gray slabs of concrete except for the cage of pure silver where the two reside in currently. The man growls and scratches the arms of the car which splinter under his sharp elongated nails. "Screw you, hunter," The man spats. His clothes are ripped and tattered. His skin raw from contact with silver and dried blood on the corner of his lip. His hair is a tangled mop and sweat beads down his forehead. "You stupid mutt!" Wonpil hisses, taking a blow at the person's face, the impact stronger with silver metal knuckles over his hands. The man huffs as his head snaps back and he groans a bit. He runs his lips over his tongue and slowly brings his face forward. He glares at Wonpil and bares his teeth. "I am the alpha werewolf," He states, "The first of my kind. How dare you call me a mutt!?"
"You're in chains," Wonpil says, "I can call you whatever the hell I want."
The alpha snarls, "When I get out of here-"
"You're not getting out," Wonpil states, "At least not until you answer my questions."
"Why would I ever tell you where my children are?" The alpha states.
"It's them or you," Wonpil says.
The alpha scoffs, "I have loyalty unlike you, hunter." Wonpil glares at the monster and swats at him. His knuckled hands make a loud crack sound as they make contact with the alpha's cheek. Blood spurts out of his mouth and splatters onto the floor. A red droplet hits Wonpil's shoe, who frowns at the spot. He lifts his foot up and wipes it against the alpha's pant leg. "I guess that means you want to do this the hard way, as stereotypical as that sounds," Wonpil tuts. He places the tip of his silver blade on the alpha's skin. He presses hard enough to scratch a line along his skin that begins to drip blood at a steady pace. The alpha grits his teeth in pain, refusing to make a sound and allow his capturer to have the satisfaction of hurting him. "You're dead, hunter," The alpha seethes through his teeth, "I will get out of here and you will bleed."
Wonpil smirks, "Sure, but at the moment...you're the one that will be bleeding..."

Now
"Wonpil has written this location at least ten times in his journal," Felix says, flipping through the pages, "But, he says literally nothing each time about what's there or what he did there. It's gotta be important if he wrote it down so many times. Don't you think?"
Chan nods from where he is behind the wheel, "We'll find out what he was doing when we get there. According to the GPS, we got a couple minutes before we arrive." Felix nods his head and glances out the window. The two are on their way to some mystery location that Wonpil mentions numerous times within his journal. They have no idea what's there, but they know it has to do with what happened to the late hunter. After a couple more minutes, they pull into the parking lot of a one floor abandoned building. "Was Wonpil doing something shady business here?" Felix asks with a raised eyebrow. Chan's nose wrinkles in distaste and exits the car. Felix sighs and gets out of the vehicle himself, "It was a joke, hyung."
"I know," Chan states, walking towards double doors.
"But, you're mad at me," Felix says.
"I'm not mad," Chan says.
"Yeah, right," Felix mutters under his breath. Chan doesn't say anything after his cousin's comment, making it fairly clear that he doesn't want to continue talking about this. Felix lets it drop even though he knows his cousin isn't in a good mood. He gets very touchy when it comes to people saying anything bad about Wonpil, even if it is a joke. Felix shakes his head, having a feeling that whatever they find in here isn't going to make his cousin happy. The hunters approach the door with neutral expressions on their faces. They don't have much weapons on them except a few emergency ones, not really knowing what to expect here. Considering Wonpil came here often, it's highly unlikely that they'll need to worry about supernatural creatures. Chan puts his hand on the doorknob and twists it. He looks back at his cousin in surprise when the door opens. "That is probably not a good thing," Felix says. Chan nods in agreement and places a finger to his lips. He slips inside and Felix follows behind him. They are met by a long hallway filled with black stains on the walls and dried leaves. The yellowed color light fixtures cast down a weak light that illuminates the area just enough for the cousins to see clearly. The hunters creep forward, trying to be wary in case there is someone else within the building. As they make their way down the halls, they pass by rooms with open doors. They peek inside quickly to observe what's inside. They are all empty, but there are these cages inside that have large wooden chairs within them and a bunch of various weaponry on the side that is used for a bunch of different monsters. The cousins keep walking around the building until they've checked the entire area. "I don't think there's anyone here," Felix says.
Chan nods in agreement, "What do you make of those rooms?"
"They sort of look like torture areas for different supernatural beings," Felix says, "Wonpil wasn't into that stuff...was he?"
Chan sighs, "He went after the occasional demon for leads, but other than that, no."
"Maybe, he was trying to stop fellow hunters who ran this joint?" Felix suggests.
Chan shrugs, "I don't know..." The blonde starts to get a faraway look in his eye, his mind wandering elsewhere as he wonders about Wonpil. Felix frowns at this, not happy that his cousin is still so broken up about finding out these not so nice things about Wonpil's journey. "Let's get a closer look," Felix says, "Maybe we'll find something that explains why Wonpil came here so often." Chan nods and the two make their way back towards the man hall. They enter one of the rooms which has chains hanging from the ceiling and a small table near it with a variety of silver colored weapons with crusted, dried blood caking on them. "Silver chains?" Felix questions as he paces around the room, "Was he holding a shifter?
Chan nods, "If it was any other monster, they would have used more than just this."
"Why capture a shifter though?" Felix asks.
"I don't have a clue," Chan says, "I don't know why anyone would want to capture a monster in the first place. Just to torture them and kill them in the end? It seems silly."
"Especially if Wonpil was the one who did it..." Felix mutters under his breath. The freckled hunter doesn't know much about his cousin's late friend, but from what Chan has told him, he is the picture perfect human. He did his job well and he did it with a kind heart. He only went after monsters who truly deserved it. He was even friends with a few creatures that his job description told him to kill. He was a good guy and a place like this isn't something you would associate with him. This journey of theirs has proven differently though. It has given Felix a better image of who Wonpil was. In his point of view, it isn't a good one. Wonpil did some bad things. He wasn't the poster child hunter. He's someone that messed up. A lot. He hurt innocents. He ruined families. Now Felix is in no way an all good saint, but even he draws the line at some point. But, that's Felix's opinion and something that he doesn't think is wise to share with his in denial cousin. Chan opens his mouth to say something, but before he can get a word out, he is cut off by the sound of metal crashing to the ground followed by a female voice saying shit. The cousins exchange a glance with one another before rushing out of the room. They make a right down the hall and frown when they see an unknown female in one of the rooms picking up torture weapons off the floor. "Hey!" Chan growls. The woman looks up and her eyes widen in surprise. She has medium length black hair and is wearing a green flannel shirt on top off a bright coral shaded tank top and dark blue jeans. There's a black cord sticking out of her pocket. She shoots to her feet and reaches into her pocket, pulling out a small knife with a sharp point. "Who are you?" Chan questions. The woman doesn't answer and proceeds to charge forward. She slides at the air with her weapon barely missing the cousins as the dodge. "He asked you a question," Felix says, grabbing the woman's wrist and twisting it so that she drops her weapon. The lady flinches in pain, but acts quickly after losing her knife. She yanks her wrist from Felix's grasp and delivers a quick kick to his gut. Felix grunts and staggers back a bit. Chan rushes forward, using all of his strength to push the woman against the wall. He pins her down, but she continues to struggle in his hold. Chan grits his teeth and reaches into his pocket to bring out a medium sized pistol. He points it at her stomach and undoes the safety. "Don't move," Chan states. The woman stiffens at this and stops moving. "Who are you?" Felix questions, "How do you know this place?"
"I don't understand you," The woman states in English.
Chan's eyebrows raise in surprise, not having expected to come across a foreigner in a place like this, "Where are you from?"
"America," The woman says through gritted teeth.
"Why are you here?" Chan asks,
"I could ask you the same thing," She says, "Who are you guys? Are you hunters?"
"We're asking the questions, lady," Felix says. The woman rolls her eyes and presses her lips together, keeping her mouth shut. "For the record, we are hunters," Chan says, "And considering you know what hunters are, you're one too. You said you're a hunter from America. What is a hunter from America doing here?"
"I'm looking for Kim Wonpil," The woman states. Chan's eyes widen at her words and he glances over at his cousin, who has a similar look of surprise written on his face. Wonpil never mentioned any woman from America in his journal. How does she know him? Why is she looking for him? And what does this have to do with what happened at this location?
──────●◎●──────
"My name is Gwen Campbell," She says. Chan has since let the American hunter go. They are all now situated within the room. Gwen leans against the wall while the cousins stand with their arms crossed over their chests, listening to her story. "Wonpil reached out to me a couple months ago to ask about alpha monsters," Gwen says.
"Alphas?" Chan questions.
"The first of its kind," Gwen says, "The first vamp, the first shifter, etc, etc..."
"Why did Wonpil want to know about them?" Felix asks, "I'm a hunter and I don't think I would want to get involved in that sort of thing."
"He wanted to capture them," Gwen answers, "And hold them here for questioning."
"So, these rooms...these torture rooms, they're his doing?" Chan asks.
Gwen nods, "I helped him set it up. I know a thing or two about holding alphas courtesy of one of my great cousins." Chan frowns at this, not exactly overjoyed to find out that his friends were messing with the top of the food chain when it came to monsters. "Why hold them?" Felix questions, "Alphas must be strong considering they're the first. Isn't it dangerous?"
"It is, but Wonpil didn't care," Gwen says, "The fact that he wanted to hold multiple alphas at the same time in one location is even more nuts. He was set on it though, so I didn't bother arguing with him about it. After all, I was just helping out a fellow hunter. We're not close, so who am I to question what he's doing."
"So, you don't know why he wanted to capture alphas, do you?" Chan asks.
Gwen sighs, "I don't know if it's why he captured all of them, but I overheard him when he was torturing the vetala alpha. He kept asking it questions about giving up locations to all the known vetala packs."
"Why would he want to know such a thing?" Felix asks.
"I tried to find out more, but he refused to tell me," Gwen says, "I can only assume that he was looking for groups of monsters to hunt."
"But, if he was looking for a hunt, it would be easier to check the news then torture the information out of a fellow monster," Chan says.
Gwen nods in agreement, "That's what I thought, but I don't know. It's just my guess on why he wanted to capture alphas. Anyway, I swing by once and awhile to make sure the rooms are still good and capable of holding the alphas. Imagine my surprise when the entire place is empty. I mean it hasn't been that long since I left. After a while, Wonpil kills the alpha, but I doubt that he killed the ten alphas he captured from the last time I visited."
"Wonpil's dead," Chan states, "That's why the place is empty."
"Oh," Gwen murmurs, "I didn't know."
"You weren't close," Chan says, "You wouldn't have."
"But, you were," Gwen says.
"He was one of my best friends," Chan says, "I'm trying to find out exactly how he died."
"You don't know what killed him," Gwen says.
"No," Chan says. Gwen nods her head and sighs. The room falls silent after that. The cousins trying to piece together all that Gwen has told them. It makes sense now why Wonpil frequented this location if he had major monsters caged inside this place. But, why did he want to know where other groups of supernatural creatures were located? Why was it so important to find this information that he would torture creatures? Just then, a loud banging sound cuts through the silence. The three all frown as that noise is joined by the deep throated noise of growling. "Is that?" Felix questions.
"Someone's inside," Gwen comments. The three share a look before starting out of the room and down the hallway. They are eventually met by a massive group of monsters. Their teeth bared and their fingernails long. They growl when they see the three hunters, who are shocked at the massive amount of werewolves before them. There is one that stands in the back with a smirk on his face. He is garbed in a black coat and his hair reaches his lower neck. "Get them, my children," He states, "Leave the brown-haired one for me though. He will meet death by my hands."
I think Supernatural has a very interesting take on creatures and like the status of alpha. I thought it was unique so I had to bring it into this fic. I hope that you enjoyed and are looking forward to the next update. Please vote, comment, follow me, add this story to your library and check out my other One-shot book! See you next time!
