A/N Short chapter but they've basically all been short today because I'm too lazy to make them longer but I don't feel like not writing okay I'm sorry just enjoy the fluff.
Balthazar eventually leaves Sam and Gabriel alone for some reason that I can't think of right now but it's for the sake of what little plot this book has. Notice how Balthazar didn't use this as his reason, because I'm actually capable of keeping the wall intact. I should stop using first person now because this is in third person. The two of them sit in an awkward silence for a while, finally broken by Gabriel.
"This isn't any less awkward than it was earlier today," he observes.
"Yeah," Sam agrees.
"Should we...?"
"Talk?" Sam suggests.
"Yeah," Gabriel agrees on the word.
"Probably," Sam agrees on the idea.
"Are we together?"
Sam shrugs. I don't know. Do you want to be?"
"Yeah."
"Then sure."
They both nod in agreement. That was the least emotionally involved it can get while becoming involved, and it's sort of sad that this is how they'll have to remember when they decided to become an official couple.
"And to think, this all started with an eight inch height difference," Sam recalls.
"You know what else is eight inches?" Gabriel asks, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
Sam facepalms. "I'm already regretting this," he mutters jokingly.
"No, you're not!" Gabriel protests, hopping off the bed and lying next to Sam on the floor. "You think I'm awesome, don't deny it."
"Denied," Sam replies, grinning.
"That's not true, and you know it," Gabriel reminds him.
"Prove it," Sam challenges.
"Okay." Gabriel kisses Sam, who kisses back, a smile on his lips.
When they pull away, Sam says, "I was hoping that's how you'd prove it."
Gabriel grins. "Then I guess you're not regretting it as much as you claim to be," Gabriel says tauntingly.
"Maybe not," Sam agrees. "But there's only one way to find out."
He sits up, and Gabriel sits in front of him, kissing him again. It's a slow kiss, causing both the boys' hearts to melt. This is what they've been so close to since they met. They were so close to having this moment, this beautiful, sweet kiss, since day one. Finally, they made it. They're together, now and forever, until death do them part...
In season 5, episode 19 when Lucifer kills Gabriel.
