Today was a sunny Sunday morning in Lawrence, this beautiful and peaceful city in Kansas.

The twin houses number 25 and 27 were still asleep.

Dean was sleeping in, snuggled against his husband who was watching him doze.

- It's almost ten in the morning, Dean, whispered Castiel to his lover while petting his hair. I'm going to cook the lunch for the kid.

Dean smiled and nodded:

- 'kay, don't burn anything, angel.

- Dean, we've been married since ten years and I make you pancakes every Sunday. I won't fail.

Dean stuck against him and said :

- Could you make me a coffee, honey ?

- Of course

- Awesome, he yawned. You're awesome, Cas

Castiel got out of bed and kissed Dean's forehead. Dean smiled again, happy. The angel pulled the covers over his husband then caught his clothes on the ground which had been quickly taken off by Dean last night...

Castiel took a look at his hickeys on his neck and his chest. He healed them sadly : if only he could have kept them ! But his son was going to ask questions and they were going to have dinner at Sam's at noon, so today wasn't the best day to be covered with marks, even if those marks dis show beautiful proof of Dean's love for him.

Castiel put his trench coat on and brushed his hair, letting it a bit unkempt because Dean loved them that way.

He walked down the stairs and opened his son's room door. The little boy raised his head.

- Daddy ?

- Hello Jude. Did I wake you up ?

- No.

The boy stretched while his father was opening his window.

- Are we going to eat at Uncle Sam's house today ? asked Jude

- Yes, and Jody, Claire and your big brother Jack will be there.

- Jack will be there ?! shouted Jude, jumping out of his bed.

- Yes, he will, smiled Castiel after kissing his son's head.

- Cool !

- Dress up, I'm making you breakfast

- 'kay ! nodded Jude, running to his closet.

The first thing Castiel did when he arrived to the kitchen was making Dean's coffee. Then he cooked pancakes without burning any of them.  Jude soon arrived and ate his chocolate pancake ravenously while his angel father was adjusting the boy's t shirt which wasn't straight.

Dean walked down the stairs, wearing a black t-shirt and slippers. He kissed his son's forehead and sat.

- Hi champ', you slept well ?

- Yeah, Dad !

- Is your salt circle around your bed still intact ?

- Stop worrying, Dean, said Castiel calmly. The house is warned and The Gates of Hell are closed since ten years now, what could possibly happen ?

- We never know. We can't be too careful.

- Everything's fine, Dad, said Jude reassuringly while taking another pancake. Daddy made you coffee.

- Awesome, Thanks !

Castiel gave him the cup, smiling.

- Daddy, do you want pancakes? asked Jude.

- I don't need to eat, sweetie, answered Cas.

- But they're pancakes ! shouted Dean and his son both at the same time.

Castiel rolled eyes and took a pancake to please his little family.

- So, asked Dean to his son. Do have homework ?

- Yeah, Daddy helped me. It was maths.

- A strange maths problem about Mark buying 57 watermelons, confirmed Castiel. I wonder what he's going to do with it.

Dean giggled and asked his son.

- How's school ? Nobody bothers you ?

- No, Dad, it's fine.

- You sure, hum ? Cause if a kid is behaving like a douche bag, you call me and I'll fuck him u...

- Language, Dean ! yelled Castiel

- ...I'll scold them, corrected Dean before drinking a bit of coffee.

- Nobody bothers me, Dad. Neither me nor my friends.

- Ok great, because that works for Sam's children too. If anybody's giving you or your cousins a bad time...

- Dean, said Castiel softly. There is no one on this Earth who would be foolish enough to go against Dean and Sam Winchester's children, believe me.

- Yeah, that's true, confessed Dean, finishing his pancake.

[A few meters / feet away, at Sam Winchester's house]

- Honey ! called Eileen. Wake up, we have to cook dinner for the guests!

Sam moved in his bed.

- What time is it ? yawn Sam while opening his eyes.

"half past ten" signed Eileen, sitting on the bed.

"already?" answered her husband in sign language.

- Yes, I didn't' want to wake you up. You were tired because of the baby.

"Yes" signed Sam. "Is he awake ?"

"No, he's quiet" answered Eileen while handing him a flannel.

- Thank you, smiled Sam while putting it on. Did the baby wake you up?

"No" signed Eileen, putting on makeup.

- He was hungry at 7 but I was awake. He's almost sleeping through the night, now.

- That's perfect then ! Sam exclaimed, while dressing up. I'll go cooking, could you and Maura set the table ?

"no problem" signed Eileen, kissing him softly.

Before walking down to the kitchen, Sam stopped by his baby's room.

- Hi Jesse, smiled Sam walking to the cradle. You slept well, love ?

The baby babbled back and Sam hugged him to change his layer, then he helped the toddler to sit down.

Jesse started crawling to his dad who put him up in the air to start playing with him.

The baby laughed and Sam makes him a monkey face.

Then Sam held him against his chest walked down the stairs. He sat the toddler on his highchair and opened compote.

- Open your mouth, Jess'

Since the toddler wouldn't listen, Sam had to pretend the spoon was a plane; and, after a few ties, Jesse finally ate all of it.

With that done, Sam put him in his playpen started making diner.

When suddenly, something caught his leg.

Using his ex-hunter's reflexes, Sam caught the thing that attacked him and pulled it up.

- Daddyyyy, Maura laughed. Put me down, you're too tall !

Sam smiled and put her back on the floor.

- When does Jude arriiiive ? asked the little girl while climbing up on her father's feet.

- In a half and an hour, monkey.

- Will Aunt Jody be there ?

-Yes, she will. She'll go with Claire. And your cousin Jack will be there too.

- Yeaaaah ! Jack !

Maura jumped around, excited.

- I love Jack, he's so nice and he plays with me and Jude a lot !

Sam smiled and kept cooking. Eileen arrived with plates and started setting the table

- Come help me, Maura

The little girl rushed and brought silverware.

- How many are we ?

- Ten, answered her mother, while signing the number at the same time.

- Try eleven, corrected Sam. I think Claire will bring Kaia.

- Who's Kaiaaa? asked Maura

- Her girlfriend, answered Sam while tuning on the oven. You saw her once at Christmas when you were younger.

- Don't remember it, said Maura, sadly.

- I'm sure you will remember her when you'll see her, said her mum

The girls finished setting the table and Maura bended the napkin with application so they look like boats.

Eileen went to help her husband cooking.

- Do you need some help with the pie ?

"Yes please" answered Sam in sign language.

Eileen started making the pie with Sam's instructions

"No, Dean likes the dough better with some milk" he explained.

"Add more apples, he loves when there's plenty of it"

Until the pie was ready.

[At Sam's, at 12h30am]

The door bell rang, and a little light flashed to warn Eileen. She turned her head as soon as she saw it and  took a look at the window.:

"Dean and Castiel are here !" she told her husband, all smiling

- I'LL GET THE DOOR ! shouted Maura, already running to the porch.

The little girl turned the doorknob eagerly and jumped in the am of her uncle.

- Deeeeeaaaaan !

- Hello, beautiful ! How are you doin' ?

Maura did not answer and hugged Castiel with affection.

- Caaaaas !

-Hello Maura, Castiel smiled

- Where's Jude ?

- Here ! answered her cousin behind his dads.

Maura gave him a little hug, happy to see him.

- I have to show you my new toy ! she said while grabbing his arm.

- When the other guest arrive, you two come back, ok ?! said Sam while the two children ran t Maua's bedroom.

The adults said hi to each other happily, because even if they did not see each other since only a few days, Sam and Dean were always exited to see each other.

Castiel said hello to Eileen in sign language and asked after her. Dean looked at them a bit lost. He was the only one of the family who did not exactly understand this language. Even Jude knew it a little bit thanks to his cousin's lessons.

Eileen smiled when she noticed his incomprehension, which never bothered her anyway.

- How is Jude ? she asked. He seems in great shape.

- Oh yeah, smiled Dean. I mean you know him, he's always running everywhere.

- How is school ?

- Fine, he's curious and interested by lots of things. He's more like Cas. Cause ya know school...wasn't my thing. What about your girl ?

- Maura starts to read her first words !

- Is she ? exclaimed Castiel, enthusiastic

- Yes, she's a fast learner. Just like her dad.

- Oh God no ! joked Dean. Not another nerd in the family, come on !

Everybody chatted about their children for a while until someone rang the doorbell and made the light flashed. Sam opened the door while Maura and Jude ran down the stairs.

- Jody ! exclaimed Sam, very glad. Claire ! Oh you're there too Kaia, welcome!

Sam hugged them merrily, and so did Dean, Castiel and Eileen. Jude et Maura ran to Jody and Claire and they gave Kaia a shy hello.

- Hello Sam and Dean! smiled Jody. Hello, kids !

Kaia smiled to everyone and Eileen let her come in. The two women didn't know each other well but they seem to be made to get along.

- How's Sioux Falls ? asked Dean

- Very quiet, assured Jody while taking her coat off. I barely see any monster anymore.

- Good, smiled Sam. Monsters are rare those ten last years.

- If you need any help, call us, said Dean. Even if we retired we can still hunt !

Eileen and Sam approved, smiling.

- That's nice of you but you really don't have to worry Dean. Hunt is calm. And you know, Claire is there to help me.

Claire smiled happily.

- How are Alex, Donna and Patience ? asked Sam while guiding everyone to the table.

- Very well ! Donna is always ok and Alex loves her job at the hospital.

- Patience went back to university, added Kaia. She's in Stanford.

- Stanford ? exclaimed Sam. I was there ! It's a great college, I'm really happy for her!

Eileen put her son in his high chair next to the table.

- Aw, smiled Jody while coming over, He's tall now ! Hey Jesse !

The baby answered with a gurgle and Jody played with him a little bit, thrilled the little boy had his father's pretty dark green eyes, and that melted Jody's heart.

Castiel chatted with Claire, happy to see his almost daughter again. He asked he plenty of questions about hunting and about Kaia, very glad to see her so happy.

- Oh, Castiel, I wanted to tell you something, she said. Kaia and I are going to buy a house in the neighbourhood.

- Really ? said Castiel. That's wonderful, we'll get to see you two more often !

- Yes, sure ! But I'll have to find a job. I like hunting but monsters are getting kinda rare and to be honest...it's not exactly ideal when you have a family life.

Castiel squinted and stared at her for a moment.

- A family life ?

Claire smiled and looked down, her cheeks becoming a bit red.

- Wait a few minutes, I'll explain soon.

Castiel nodded and continued to ask her some questions :

- Which job do you think you'll do then?

- I don't know, maybe firewoman? Or sheriff likes Judy.

- I'm sure you could enjoy that, nodded Castiel. What about Kaia ?

- She thought about becoming a medium, and use her Dream Walker power but she's not sure yet. Never mind, she won't work until a little while because she...

She stopped brutally and clumsily changed the subject of the conversation.

During this time, Jude and Eileen get to know Kaia.

- You are Sam's spouse, am I correct ? asked Kaia

Yes, I am. I'm Maura and Jesse's mum.

- How did you two met ? shyly asked Kaia.

- By hunting a Banshee !

Kaia laughed a little bit and asked :

- You are a lawyer, aren't you ?

- Yes, I used to be a hunter but when Sam stopped hunting and became a lawyer, I took a shot myself. I always wanted to be a lawyer, just like my mother.

- Really ? What was her name ?

- Maura Leahy.

- Maura ? Like...?

- Yes, said and signed Eileen. I named my daughter after her.

- it's really pretty, said Kaia. It's a good idea to name your child after your parents.

"Thanks" signed Eileen.

Then everyone sat down at the table and Jody said :

- I've got news from Garth, by the way. I'll pay us a visit soon !

- No kidding ? smiled Dean. I can't wait to see him, then !

"Who's Garth ?" asked Eileen to her husband.

"An old friend" signed Sam. "He lives in a werewolf community so we don't get to see him very often"

The doorbell rang again. Castiel opened the door.

- Jack ! he smiled, hugging dearly his son of heart

- Hello Castiel, answered Jack, merrily.

- Jaaaack ! shouted Jude while jumping in the Nephilim's arm.

- Hey, Jude !

Dean, Sam and Maura enthusiastically came to say hi. Jack said hello to Jody et Claire, hugged Kaia and took a look at Jesse.

- Jess' grew up !

- Yes, answered Eileen, signing and talking at the same time. He's 11 months now. He almost knows how to walk !

Jack waved his hand and made the baby laugh. 

- So, asked Jody, what's up ?

- I'm travelling a lot, answered Jack. I like it. It was Castiel's advice so I can discover the world pour. I spent some time in San Francisco and Los Angeles, I liked those cities so I decided to stay there for a few time.

- How's L.A ? asked Dean, all excited about it.

- Big and full of beaches.

- Awesome !

- Jack ! said Jude while pulling the Nephilim's sleeve. I draw something at school for you.

He gave Jack a paper where an angel with a backpack was drawn.

- That's you, he explained.

- That's very pretty, Jude, thank you, said the Nephilim.

Eileen was serving the meal when Claire and Kaia stood up and hold each other hands.

- Excuse us, we have something to say, said Claire.

Everyone went quiet and looked at them with a friendly curiosity.

- Kaia and I, we're going to have a baby. A little boy. Kaia's pregnant of a little boy. And...We're gonna call him Jimmy.

She said the last sentence looking at Castiel, a little tear of joy in the corner of her eye.

Dean smiled and applauded, and everyone followed him. Jody started crying and held them both in her arms. Kaia took back her pullover, revealing her swollen belly and kissed Claire, full of joy.

She put a hand on her stomach and whispered:
