CHAPTER 2

After minutes of debating, Lara heard a distant cry among the trees.
"Oh my god what was that? Lara jumped up for a millisecond and looked around for the direction of the sound. "Kat, we-we need to check it out!" They stopped to observe the sound, it was constant cry from the bushes, but the echo made it tricky to locate, the sound was like a deep feminine yell, and made the exotic birds fly out the nearby trees. "Kat-Kat we need to- Kat?" I feel to my knees with a white stare to the ground, the noises around me got quieter and quiet-

"Kat?" I felt someone shake my shoulders, "Kat? Come on wake up! Kat!" The sounds got louder, i tried to pry my eyes open but they just stumbled back down. "Oh thank god she's still alive, Kat!" I tried forcing my eyes to open and i just ended up heavily blinking, but after some time i awoke.
"Woah woah what happened?" I was clueless, it's like my memory for a split second just stopped. "How long was i out for?"
"About say 4 minutes?" A different voice said. My palms and forehead where ice cold and my body felt like the aftershocks of an earthquake, my head was spinning but never hurt. "Really... wow, n-no headache?" I said while slowly slivering upwards.
The different voice was talking to Lara about what just happened.
Lara softly said "Hey... You feeling okay now?" I had one eye open and i couldn't make out who the other person sat with me was. Dark long hair, blurred out face, average height. While Lara, blonde hair, glasses and slightly shorter sat on her knees next to her.
"Oh, that cry! What was it?! Did you find out? Is it okay?" I climbed up the rock i was lead on, while my head tried to stop spinning.
"Yeah, don't worry Kat I found out what it was." Lara calmly said.
The strange voice sarcastically said "Oh come on, you forgot me already betch?"
I felt drunk but sober at the same time it was, weird.
Wait betch? That's what me and Jamie say? "Oh my god! Jamie! You're alive!"
"Yeah she was the source of the cry, when you passed out I carried you to this rock, and i went for a quick scan for the crying source, i found Jamie, and well... Now we're here..." Lara said short of words
"Well what are we still doing here? Come on we have to find shelter fast before it's night because bad things happen at night"
Jamie said while smirking "On a scale of 1-10 how much are you with it right now?"
"Is 1 lower than 10?" I said not realising what i said
Lara quickly interrupted "Okay let's get her some water!"

"Look" i said while i was getting dragged along the ground with Lara "I know what to do, and i may not be in the greatest of states, but you gotta listen to me!"
"Okay" Jamie agreed "What do we do? Cause no offence but we are stuck on options here"
"Err okay then" i stalled "Well we need to start on surroundings i guess"
Jamie got more sarcastic "Okay, there's a few trees over there and oh look a bigger tree and if you look 10 yards behind it more trees!!"
Lara butted in "i think she means like rivers, flat ground, hills and stuff"
"Yeah!" I yelped
"Right... Okay, let's stay fairly close to the plane just incase there's any more survivors"
"Good idea, and look over there is a river and there's lots of flat ground around here" Lara contributed. The area was mostly flat, there were many roots of trees that rose above the ground to make it seem like an obstacle course with plants and cobwebs to add for decoration, but with the river close by it would be a great base. The half of the plane we got had half of the luggage in the storage under the plane, we had lots of hand luggage and suitcases to gather and loot, the only problem would be getting it.
"Hey that river... It looks pretty clean..." I stated
"I bet it’s not Kat" Lara suggested
"No seriously" I continued "it's clear, there's a chance! I need someone to walk up the river for about 10-20 minutes to check if there's no dead animal in the river"
"You sure?" Jamie said surprised.
"Yeah trust me, please go up and check, it's a risk I'm willing to take, at least just so i can get back on my feet."
Jamie looked at Lara for a second, Lara gave her signals that she didn't want to go up, so Jamie was forced up by her own will.

My palms still cold as ice and my cold white face continued to get colder, which is weird, considering we were dropped off in a hot country. But no matter how bad i felt, the situation we are in is a lot worse, so by the force of will power i stood up and started to get to work.
Lara noticed and argued "You know you just fainted, i wouldn't do that if i was you." She didn't sound that serious when she spoke, but nevertheless i carried on, "Okay but i tried to warn you-"
"Well, Lara" i interrupted "There's more important things to do right now then moan in a corner. Now, what do you want me to do?"
Lara sighed but saw that i wasn't gonna take no for an answer, all the work that needed to be done had to be done fast, even tho the circumstances there was always sarcasm to be made.
"Well if you can clear a space maybe, or if you can contact a nearby rescue plane and send us all to safety?" It had been a tough couple of hours, but a space had been clear, and the sight of Jamie brought smiles to our eyes, especially when she stumbled into two new strangers; they must of been on our side of the plane with us. Such a nice sight to see new people when you think you are the only people left alive
