What. The. Hell?
   What was Mordred doing here? How did he even get here? Why did he come here?
   A wide grin had spread over Mordred's face as he waved to the crowd. With that, he slowly made his way down the stairs until he stood next to Rose. He took her hand and kissed it in a gentlemanly way.
   "I'm so sorry, Merl." Rose said. "But we're in love!"
   "What?" Merlin asked, taken aback.
   "Something changed when we were on the Isle." Mordred said. "I realized just how sweet she is and, cuz, you don't seem to understand what a beautiful and wonderful woman she is. I just can't get her outta my head."
   "Me neither." Rose giggled. "When you look deep down, he's actually a really great guy."
   Merlin's eyes narrowed in suspicion. "So you brought him here?"
   "Didn't have to." Mordred answered. "I followed you guys out the portal with Aithusa. She carried me all the way here...to my sweet queen."
   Something about the situation didn't seem right to Merlin and it wasn't jealousy making him feel that way. Rose and Mordred seemed happy but there was something odd about the way Rose was acting.
   "Thank you, cousin!" Mordred said as he embraced Merlin. "You finally helped me to see what's really important."
   "What about us?" Merlin asked, turning to Rose. "I thought we were making up?"
   "Well, it seemed like your mind was made up about us. That's why you didn't say "I love you" back that day."
   Merlin felt his eyes get wet. He knew he'd hurt her feelings that day but he had never had the chance to apologize, to tell her how much he still loved her and wanted to be with her, regardless of everything.
   That's when a piano version of "Once Upon a December" started playing and a woman in a diamond dress started singing.
   "OH MY GOD, I LOVE THIS SONG!" Rose said.
   Mordred offered his hand. "Shall we?"
   With that, the pair strolled off onto the dance floor.
   "Well, I'm not happy that I risked my neck for her!" Said Gideon who was the only one of the VKs who hadn't yet warmed up to Rose.
   Merlin sighed in despair.
   All of a sudden, Lacey, who had been hanging back for a moment to get a drink, jumped up and ran forward, stopping at the announcer. She hurriedly whispered something to him before he blew on a trumpet and said, "And now for the unveiling of Queen Rosalia's gift to the man she loves!"
    Everyone gathered around as, at the other end of the boat, a curtain dropped, revealing a stained-glass window. In it, was a picture of Rose and Merlin. She was leaning back against him, while he had his arms around her. But what caught Merlin's attention were his own eyes. Gold.
    "She knew who I was the whole time and she still loves me!" Merlin said, wonder filling his voice.
    Suddenly, Mordred's voice cut above the noise, "COVER THAT UP!" He looked around to see the eyes of every person on the boat on him and cleared his throat. "Ah hem! I mean," he took Rose's hand, "why don't you tell everyone the gift you're giving me?"
    Rose nodded. "As a gift for my boyfriend, I have decided to bring down the barrier."
   Gasps rang out.
   "She's been spelled!" Elsa and Ruby realized.
   "Mordred must've found my mom's spellbook." Merlin also realized.
   "Rose, you know I can't do that. Per your parents' law--"
   "I AM THE QUEEN NOW!" Rose shouted.
   "Ok." Gideon finally realized. "She would be treat Fairy Godmother that way! Something's definitely not right."
   "You heard her. Take down the barrier!" Mordred commanded.
   "I don't take orders from you." Blue replied, coldly.
   Merlin, now realizing the truth if the situation, made his way to Rose's side. "Rose, listen to me. I didn't mean what I said to you on the Isle and when we were fighting. You are enough for me. You've always been enough for me. I love you. We've had a connection from the beginning and I have loved you since the day you rescued me in the Lake of Avalon. I let myself believe you didn't wanna be with me because I was afraid one day you'd wake up and see that I wasn't good enough for you. But now I finally realize that you've always known who I am and you accept it. Let me make it up to you...now."
   With that, he pulled her into his arms for a kiss. To his relief, seconds later, she tangled her fingers in his hair and kissed him back.
    "True love's kiss." Regina said from inside her mirror. "Works every time."
    Breaking from the kiss, Rose and Merlin embraced as cheers rang out. Unfortunately, that's when the happy moment was shattered by an angry yell....
